For the January 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan, Lauren Conrad put on a bunch of super pretty party dresses and dished on the details of her recent engagement to law school student and former Something Corporate rocker, William Tell. Of course, her hair looks perfect in every shot. Like, SO perfect that I'm starting to think the girl MUST be wearing a wig. Not really, but if there are wigs out there that look like LC's hair, then consider me sold.
Anyway, among the many frocks Lauren wears for her shoot are a pink and purple silk dress with a beaded bodice and a canary yellow number that she accessorizes with a pair of red and neon green open-toed heels. Yes, the color scheme might seem a bit unconventional, but Conrad's confidence (and again, really great hair) makes the whole thing look seamless.

OMG. Looks like yet another former Hills star can take "engagement ring" off their Christmas list this year. Reality star-turned-designer Whitney Port (who's been through her fair share of some very public dating disasters) just got engaged to her producer beau of two years, Tim Rosenman, who she met on the set of her Hills spin-off, The City. We're really happy for them and we're gonna let them finish celebrating, but we are DYING to get a glimpse of the ring, which has yet to be revealed. Will it be round and classic like Lauren Conrad's? A whopping square-cut stunner like Kristen Cavallari's? Something eclectic and vintage that reflects her laid-back, downtown boho style? EEE! Just show us already, kthx! (Also, CONGRATS!)

Dudes of the world, the ante has officially been upped. Over the weekend, Ciara got the Kim Kardashian treatment when her rapper-producer boyfriend, Future, proposed on the same day as her 28th birthday celebration. (She said yes!) And, if the engagement ring is any indication, the couple's future together will be really, really, REALLY bright. Ciara showed off the 15-carat Avianne & Co. rock at a Moët & Chandon event in Houston last night (also in celebration of her birthday), where her dramatic, high-slit Alon Livne gown took a serious back seat to the stunning bling on her left hand.
The happy, brooding couple.

Kimye’s impending nuptials: let’s discuss. Obviously, the entire event will be lavish, over-the-top and totally insane. (We can’t wait!) The two stars are both notoriously extravagant, and despite this being Kardashian’s third wedding (#charmed), y’all know that NO expense will be spared for Kanye’s first trip down the aisle. I mean, you saw the ring, right? I’m imagining like, diamond-encrusted everything—from place settings to port-a-pottys to the Lorraine Schwartz-sponsored gift bags and the mini Margiela mask for Nori. Their love knows no bounds and their wallets know no limits. Remember: these are the people who spent over a million dollars on beds. BEDS. Six of them. SIX. That s*** cray.
Also, keep in mind that Kim wore three different Vera Wang dresses (gratis, but valued at approx. $20K a piece) for her 2011 wedding to Kris Humphries, and DUH-RIPPED in an estimated $10 million worth of (borrowed) high-end jewelry. So, it’s probably pretty safe to assume that she’ll outdo herself with West because EVERYONE will be watching. But will Ye get final approval of the gown(s)?

WOWOWOW. I mean, WOW. Or, more succinctly, WOW. Baby momma, no more! OK technically, Kim Kardashian IS still the mother of Kanye West’s child, but now he’s making an honest woman out of her, y’all! *DING DONG DING* (Those are wedding bells, BTW.) In the proposal heard ‘round the
world interwebs, Ye popped the question last night on Kim’s 33rd birthday at San Francisco’s AT&T Park (he rented it out for the occasion, NBD) where he proposed IN ALL CAPS (because Kanye) on a jumbotron that read: “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” (EMPHASIS ON THE "E"S FOR MAXIMUM EXPRESSION OF EXCITEMENT!) Oh, and West soundtracked the event to the tune of a live 50-piece orchestra (head over to MTV News for the set list). Naturally, Kim said yes because LOOK AT THAT RING. (Also, because love.)

By now, you’ve had plenty of time to gawk at Lauren Conrad’s #1 STUNNA engagement ring. BUT WHAT ABOUT HOW IT ALL WENT DOWN? Come on, Lauren! Give us the deets! It's just us, your old pals at MTV. We've been besties since, like, 2004! Remember? Spill it. Were there rose petals? Puppies? Ribbons and polka dots and tiny pastel macarons? Did you have a secret Pinterest board entitled "Engagement Ideas" for William Tell to refer to? I bet there were macarons.
The single-set, circle-cut ring is TOTALLY true to the former MTV star's style—classic, simple, impossibly glam—and it will undoubtedly be the perfect accessory for any dress she chooses to walk down the aisle in (and also for just like, sitting on the couch and staring at in pajamas.) And since we HAVE known Conrad since 2004 (you've come a long way from flip-flops and tube-tops, lady), we obvi had to offer up some suggestions for dresses on the big day. You know, since we're really busy and couldn't be there in person to help out, even if she decided to ask us instead of say, IDK, her in-the-flesh family.

It was a big weekend for Lauren Conrad, y'all: she got engaged! Lauren shared the good news (where else?) on Instagram and on her personal blog. In my day you had to share your engagement via carrier pigeon (JK, it was via fax machine). Now? Snap a pic of your new jewelry, sit back, and watch the likes roll in. Everyone likes an engagement!
All together now: awwwww! Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto married longtime girlfriend Kristin Ogata in (what looks like) an intimate ceremony in Hawaii, and we're seriously obsessed with her effortlessly gorgeous gown. She sported the strapless plunging sweetheart layered tulle frock with a short veil and no shoes. She went for a simply chic beauty look by wearing her signature jet black baby bangs with loose curls and sported smoky eyes with light pink lips and red hot tips. For the finishing touch, both her and Kristin sported leis over the top of their ensembles. Beth posted the pic of the adorbs duo walking down the aisle to her band's Facebook page, and said, "So much love and appreciation to all of our family and friends who celebrated with us! And a huge thank you to Jean Paul Gaultier for the dream-come-true dress!" Um, did she just say the JPG made her a custom wedding gown? *dies*
We can't say we're surprised that Avril Lavigne got married in a black wedding dress—in fact, we think it's quite fitting for the queen of punk rock. On July 1 (Canada Day!), she wed Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger in an intimate castle (!!!) ceremony in the south of France. Hello! Canada magazine debuted the first photos from the big day, which featured Avril in a strapless, black sweetheart Monique Lhuillier tulle gown with a black bouquet of roses and a diamond headband. She sported her signature smudgy black eye shadow with nude lips and effortless beachy blonde waves.

We don't know about you guys, but we're still basking in the oh-so-beautiful glory that was Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler's wedding. In case you missed it, the ex-Hillsie tied the knot in a GORGE strapless Monique Lhuillier gown complete with beachy waves and a barely-there makeup look. Since her floor-sweeping dress covered her feet, we weren't able to peep her wedding shoe game at the time, but as it turns out, K Cav actually designed her own shoes for the big day, and—even better—us mere mortals can purchase them too! *high fives entire world* Kristin added these shoes to her ever-growing Chinese Laundry shoe collection, and they seem to fit her simply-chic style aesthetic perfectly.
