How much do you love sneakers? That's what MTV Style wanted to find out when we stopped by Sneaker Con, the ultimate sneaker lover convention, a few weeks ago in New York City for the latest episode of Show Us Your Style. And what we found was an epic crowd of sneakerheads — more than 1,200 guys and girls showed up wearing the most exclusive sneakers imaginable on their feet. People traded shoes with each other all over the place, and the customizing of tees and hats happened on the spot. But what is the root of this crazy sneaker culture? Spence from Brooklyn summed it up perfectly: "Sneakers represent a part of life." Watch the video to see the five hottest outfits (and plenty of amazing streetwear style!) at Sneaker Con.

Printed pants are a bold move. Tricky to pull off, they can either look like a costume-y disaster or ultra-chic and eye-catching. So, seeking inspiration for how to wear printed pants and actually pull it off, we turned to style bloggers for tips on trying trousers that pack a printed punch — Shannon Licari of Dirty Hair Halo, Kirsty Barrett of Fashion Champagne and Melanie Lee of Wrecked Stellar show us how it's done. Check them out below.

With her burnt orange-light brown blazer and black belt with gold balls, blogger Shannon Licari from Minneapolis, Minn., shows off some seriously cool style we’d expect to see in New York, Paris, or London. The colors on the print of the pants blend perfectly with what she’s rocking on top in a way that’s seamless, not distracting. And the best part? Everything she’s wearing (which looks perfectly crisp, new, and on trend) has been pre-loved, and is either thrifted or from Buffalo Exchange. Way to recycle and make it look new!

When we saw these pants by Super Looks on Britain-based blogger Kirsty Barrett, our first thought was, OMG leopard print trousers! Our second was, Where can we get them? With leopard considered one of the new classics, these pants take Kirsty’s look right to the edge of the latest trends. As we’ve seen with the other outfits, the key to rocking a printed paint is all about keeping the rest of the look simple or in the same color family. With her black New Look shoes and jacket and a basic tee from Topshop, she’s definitely done both beautifully. And to infuse a hint of color into her outfit, she painted her nails with pool-blue polish. Nice touch!

Wrecked Stellar

Born in New Jersey and now living in Los Angeles, blogger Melanie Lee certainly has the mix of East Coast/West Coast style down pat. How awesome is her super-saturated, bright yellow vintage halter jumpsuit from Nasty Gal? The print is simple and small enough that it creates a linear effect, giving the three-quarter oversize pants on the jumper a striped feel. With such a scene-stealing piece, Melanie got it right by minimizing the rest of her accessories, sticking with vintage pendant necklace, gold Kenneth Jay Lane hoops, a delicate bracelet by Fetty, and white Topshop boots. This looks screams "I love the '80s," but in all the best ways.

Headbands are one of our favorite accessories. Pretty, yet practical, headbands allow you to look good while keeping your hair out of your face and under control (especially if you haven’t washed it in a few days!). This week, we let Amanda Bronscheer of Mindalicious, Natalie Liao of La Vagabond Dame, and Taylor McMillan of The Undomestic Momma show us how to make headbands work. Check it out below! Nylon Street View; All Photos Courtesy of Universe

At MTV Style's headquarters in New York City, we're constantly on the hunt for hot styles you're wearing right now. We even go so far as to record great looks for posterity in our Show Us Your Style show! Sure, New York is a fashion hub, but it's hardly alone in the fashion-forward cities category. That's why we're pumped to show you a sneak peek of Street View: The New Nylon Book of Global Style, a new book from the editors of Nylon magazine, which just came out this month ($24,95, Amazon.com). The book covers the hottest street style in seven cities: Montreal, Stockholm, Barcelona, Tokyo, Los Angeles, London, and of course, New York. It proves that no matter where you go, stylish people are everywhere. Check out our favorite looks below!

+ What city do you think is the most stylish?

MONTREAL: Montreal was definitely well represented in this book with quirky, fun, daring looks. We love the skinny jeans and heels on the left and the originality of the outfit on the right, from the tiered-petal shirt to the textured tights and Jeremy Scott's wing sneakers for Adidas.

MONTREAL: These looks were also from Montreal, and here we're taking cues for mixing it up a little. Polka dots go with lace leggings, and red heart bags punch up an otherwise all-black outfit.

TOKYO: Tokyo is a town for trendsetters, and these two really make their looks pop with a mix of pieces like a thick gold chain on the left and the studded leather biker jacket on the right with leopard print platforms.

BARCELONA: European style is effortless chic, as proven here. And that goes for both guys and girls!

NEW YORK AND LONDON: The layered look on the left is from New York City, while the sweet-but-sophisticated style represents London on the right. Which city girl has the better style? That's a tough one!

LOS ANGELES: Casual, laid-back looks go far in Los Angeles, (just ask the girls of The Hills!). Floral, feminine dresses are paired with funky boots, and overalls get an update with chunky argyle heels.

The blazer is one of our favorite fall accessories — light enough to wear when it’s warm, and perfect with a scarf for chilly evenings. While basic black is a must-have, this week we turned to style bloggers Mandabear, Candy Kawaii Lover, and The Little World of Fashion to scope out ways to wear blazers in colors other than black, like neutral khaki and showstopping red. See below for the top style blogger looks of the week: Nonblack blazers edition. Read More...
