Beyonce Best Thing I Never Had

At 29 and with a lifetime-sized career under her belt, Beyoncé knows a thing or two about making mistakes...and then getting it right. Which is why she is giving scorned (or totally satisfied) fans the ability to star in an alternative version of her supreme kiss-off video "Best Thing I Never Had." The original tells the story of a young Bey (fictional or not) who prepares for her wedding day. As she gets ready, she tells her former prom date, a dismissive, creepin' jerk in a crown, that he "turned out to be the best thing (she) never had." In fact, she's moved on with a hottie who treats her, and her appreciation for flouncy white dresses, with the respect she deserves. A feeling exactly everyone can relate to, amiright?

By uploading happy wedding photos or disastrous prom shots (no word on whether the inverse works as well) to Twitter or Flickr with the hashtag #BeyonceBestThing, Beyoncé fans can participate in a crowdsourced, fan-made reimagining of the "Best Thing" video. Expect tons of awkward prom peplum and blissful black-and-white nuptial photos (and, of course, smug feelings of closure and reconciliation).

If there's one thing we love, it's ROMPERS. Printed ones, solid ones, cutout ones, ones with collars—ALL of them. There's no onesie that we say no to! It seems that some fierce fashion bloggers also share our affection for the one-piece wonders, so we found three looks that we love—all in summery floral patterns. Check out more about these stylish ladies' outfits below! Warning: You maaayy want to hide your credit card before reading on.

DANG, it's hot in herrr! Like, to the point where walking literally one block equals a giant sweat moustache, runny mascara, and the equivalent red-faceness from an intense 30-minute jogging sesh. It's triple digits out there, people. Luckily, there are some ways to beat the heat and STILL look cute—our favorite way is with an oversized sun hat! Not only does it keep you cool during a scorcher, but it's instant SPF. Plus, it adds a too-cool-for-school '70s vibe to any ensemble in a snap. Check out how three cute-as-a-button (and non-sweaty) fashion bloggers sported their sunny chapeaus!

MTV Pitchfork Street Style

Claire, Michelle, and Jen at Pitchfork 2011.

This weekend's Pitchfork Festival in Chicago was super hot. Yes, of course we mean the sweltering, near-100 degrees and the heaping piles of buzz bands (both "hot" indeed), but we are mostly referring to the hordes of fashionable, adorable concert goers. The blazingly rad styles we spotted gave the high noon sun a run for its money, and we've got to give it up to the ladies who let us snap their picture. Not only were they on their feet all day (sensible shoes!) and sweating their skin off (loose clothing!) but each one brought their own special brand of rocker cool to the concert. (For more on the festival, check out our pals Refinery 29's amazing Chicago blog.)

So not only did we get schooled on how to dress for steamy weather (Pitchfork staples included wrap sandals, bright prints anchored by solids, and leather satchels), but we spotted some styles we are going to be stealing all summer long.

EMA, Twin Sister, and Zola Jesus Perform at the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois.

Summer festivals, like this past weekend's Pitchfork Festival, ain't a walk in a densely populated park: the crowds, the lines, the endless barefoot dancing. And the girls who brave the temps to get onstage to entertain the sweltering masses have it the toughest and earn our utmost respect (and gratitude. And space on our iPods). Not only do they perform with the sun beating down like a spotlight from hell, but they all look so cool belting out songs it almost looks easy (it isn't. At all).

We caught up with emerging rockers EMA, Twin Sister, and Zola Jesus in Chicago this weekend to hear a little bit about their music and a lot about their stage garb of choice. Not only do we have three new girl crushes, but each of these ladies has a style as distinctive as their sound.

The time has come, muggles. The Harry Potter series has OFFICIALLY come to a close with the release of its final film Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2—the last installment over the course of *sniff sniff* TEN YEARS. Last night, the most hard-core fans from all over New York drove, walked, ran, flew their way to the Lincoln Center for the midnight premiere of Harry Potter in full fannish cosplay regalia. From handmade costumes to limited edition merchandise, Team Potter BROUGHT IT (perhaps with the help of our *ahem* amazing, all-inclusive learn how to dress like your favorite Harry Potter character guides? Maybe? Yes? No? YES.) Check out the video below to see what cute and crazy outfits were featured in the super-duper-long line of fans (it wrapped around the building four times. Yeahhhh.). Girl nerds rule.

If the glow of your computer screen is beginning to burn your retinas for your insatiable appetite for beautifully dressed fashion bloggers, boooooyyy do we have the solution for you. It's called a BOOK. You can, like, actually hold it in your hands. You know, take it to the beach and actually be able to read it under the bright sunlight, unlike your touch screen cell phone. Super amazeballs/famous blogger Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes wrote the foreword for the Style Yourself guide, which features outfits from all your fash faves (yes, even Tavi, Karla, and Susie) and offers sound advice on how to cop their looks. Our favorite part though? The "remixes"! Three bloggers are shown sporting a trend in three different ways (JUST LIKE WE DO EVERY WEEK!!), so of course we HAD to pick our favorite looks and share them with you! Buy the entire Style Yourself book for the full experience.

First up: monochromatic. Dressing in one color makes you long and lean, and Style Yourself says to "add lots of texture for visual variety." Zanita Whittington of Zanita wears head-to-toe yellow (daring) with a lemon motorcycle jacket, dandelion pleated skirt, and tangerine stacked sandals. Michelle Koesnadi of Glisters and Blisters took jeans and a tank top to new heights by coordinating her entire outfit (even her bag!) in shades of blue. Justyna Baraniecki of Chichichic! went for smooth dark chocolate brown from top to bottom, which we LOVE. The fur accent is purrrrfect.

It is midsummer, which means it's good to get a little loud and a lot crazy with color. From pants to belts to nails, we spotted bloggers everywhere sporting fluorescent fashion! We can't get enough of this trend, especially on bright summer days. With neon, there's no rules—don't be afraid to mix-and-match brights with even MORE brights, or add a neon accessory to a set of neutrals for a piece that really pops. Check out the deets on our favorite fashion-y ladies here.

There's something about loud, graphic prints that look like they came straight from your mom's old Tupperware collection. A bit of bright design instantly adds punch to any outfit, and summer is ALL about bold, fun colors. Plus, in case you haven't heard, the '70s are BAAACCCCKKK. (Think we're lying? Please note two out of the three lovely ladies above are also wearing floppy hats. So THERE.) We scoured the interwebz to find three fashion bloggers who sported this look in three very different (but all awe-inspiring) ways, and we think you'll fall in love with ALL of them. Because, like us, you have eyes.

Look, guys. This week we've decided not to focus on one particular fashion trend that bloggers wear well, but instead bloggers that tend to wear EVERYTHING well. In our massive weekly scouring of blogs, we somehow always end up obsessed with at LEAST one lovely lady from the UK, so we figured we should dedicate an entire post to their awe-inspiring fashion. Like, look at the photo above. No, that isn't from a magazine. No, she wasn't professionally styled. That's just a NORMAL BLOGGER girl hanging out in the vast English countryside with nothing but a camera, some nice threads, and a wild imagination. Jealous? Yeah, us too. Bloggers of the world, take note.
