Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift And More Are Best Dressed At 2013 Billboard Music Awards

The Billboard Awards might've clocked in at a whopping three hours, but between ALL the performances (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez!) tonight's show flew by faster than you can say, "Wait, Shania Twain's here?!" In addition to the, you know, music, we're chalking at least a little bit of this up to all of the ridiculously awesome outfits from our faves. Miley showed us once again that you can never have too many jumpsuits in your closet, Selena had a total neon-a-thon in her gown, and Kelly Rowland proved that when it comes to fashion, sometimes silver really IS better than gold. See these ladies and more of tonight's tops looks below!

We've seen Miley Cyrus wear a jumpsuit before (yes, many times...). We've seen Miley wear black and white before, too. Hey, we've EVEN seen Miley in a black and white jumpsuit before! But somehow, the singer still managed to make this tried-and-true look totally fresh tonight, flaunting a diamond-motif crochet onepiece by Balmain that straddles the line between formal and insanely cool. Topped off that swoopy platinum 'do and a statement red lip, this is ALL the proof you need that summer 2013 basically belongs to Miley Ray Cyrus. Congrats girl, you've done it again!

TAYLOR SWIFT IN ZUHAIR MURAD

Although Taylor Swift consistently churns out red carpet hits in pale hues and column dresses, tonight the star went in the complete opposite direction, opting for a bright blue minidress by Zuhair Murad. Covered in glittery embellishment and featuring mirrored panels across the top, we'd like to this this is Taylor's way of injecting a little Vegas flair into the look...don't you think!?

Before Selena Gomez commanded the stage in a fluttery gold dress for her "Come & Get It" performance during the show, the singer hit the carpet in a white Atelier Versace gown that's HEAVY on the glam factor. Who know neon piping against the sleek white hue worked so well?! Also surprising: that clear paneling. In other words, if you're Selena, life in plastic really is fantastic.

Emmy Rossum brought the drama to the blue carpet, showing off some of the year's biggest red carpet trends—cut outs and peek-a-boo lace—in a classic mermaid silhouette. With polka dots threading through the sheer panels on her dress, Emmy put a twist on a go-to look. Her elegant black Zuhair Murad gown, complemented by a classic and romantic up-do and silver drop earrings, was on-trend enough to look young, but also showed off the Emmy's classic beauty. Like many of the ladies on the carpet, Emmy kept her beauty look basic, with a neutral lip and soft smoky eye.

CHLOE MORETZ IN FENDI

Cutie Chloe Moretz can't step onto a red carpet without alas sauntering onto everyone's top looks list. Her turn on the Billboard blue carpet was no different, and she looked modern and gorgeous in a geometric Fendi mini dress and tastefully checkered heels. Chloe let the dress take center stage, keeping her makeup single with a pink lip, smoky eye, and long, straight center-parted blonde hair.

Kelly Rowland has been TEARING up carpets lately. She's a master at finding figure-flattering gowns with just enough of the extra-oomph to make them really stand out. Her silver, textured Rami Al Ali Couture gown was slit to there, with a decolletage-baring neckline that Kelly highlighted with a delicate silver chain. The real stunner here, though, is the fabric. It looks like a cross between studds, quilting, and some kind of alligtor skin, only from space. It's all in the details.

Nicki Minaj Switches Up Red Carpet To Stage Style At Billboard Music Awards

Throughout tonight's Billboard Awards, we saw tons of stars bringing their sartorial A-game to both the red carpet and the stage, but no one donned two totally opposite (but equally amazing) looks quite like Nicki Minaj. When she walked the carpet, she sported a soft and elegant floor-sweeping crimson gown with sequin detailing along the bustier. She finished the look with sky-high red platform shoes and matching nails on both her hands and feet. #dedication For her beauty game, she opted for platinum ringlets, extra thick lashes and nude lips for an-understated-yet-still-red-carpet-ready look.

When Barbs hit the stage with Lil Wayne to perform "High School," she ditched her ethereal gown for a badass all-black ensemble. She wore a Chanel logo snapback with a SERIOUSLY studded black and gold jacket, ripped leggings, fur-trimmed stiletto booties, and a black crop top. She swapped her blonde curls with super straight, long black strands and light pink lipstick. We love how she managed to rock two completely different ensembles in equally awesome ways, but if we HAD to pick a favorite look, we'd say we like her onstage outfit just a tad more. It felt more Nicki to us since it was super on-trend but still girly, and we can't help but LOVE seeing our Barbs back in her signature black hair. Jennifer Lopez Or Adam Lambert: Who Looked Fiercer In Fuzzy Sleeves By The Blonds?

By now you might've peeped all the killer 2013 Billboard Music Awards red carpet looks, but, HOMG, y'all, we need to talk about the performance outfits. We're straight-up astounded by all the sartorial realness we've seen onstage tonight, particularly from the likes of Ms. Jennifer Lopez. She BA-ROUGHT it in a fiery head-to-toe red ensemble while singing "Live It Up" alongside Pitbull. She sported The Blonds sequin red leotard with out-of-this-world feather sleeves and matching thigh-high studded peep-toe boots. For her beauty look, JLo wore straight dark blonde strands with piecey bangs, a smokey eye and nude lip. Halfway through her performance, though, we couldn't help but think her ensemble reminded us SO much of something we had seen before...

With a little research, we remembered that Adam Lambert had worn a strikingly similar look while performing at the VH1 Divas show late last year, which was also by The Blonds. His outfit included a red studded leather jacket with fur gorilla sleeves, a black top, a thick chain necklace, metallic pants, and motorcycle boots. He also sported a smoldering smokey eye with spiky tips. But, we have to know, who do you think wore The Blonds better—Jennifer Lopez or Adam Lambert? Let us know in the comments below!

Justin Bieber Wears A Ton Of Leather At Billboard Music Awards

It should probably come as no surprise that Justin Bieber wore leather to the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. In fact, weeee can't really recall a time in the recent past when Biebs hasn't performed in SOME iteration of the luxe material. And sure, he's even been known to rep head-to-toe leather on occasion, but we're shining a major spotlight on The Biebs and his love of tanned hide NOW because that's pretty much ALL he wore tonight. He skipped the red carpet, but his grand entrance for a "Bieber Air"-themed performance of "Take You" was dripping with leather from his custom one-armed jacket to his extra tight drop-crotch trousers. We had barely stopped reeling from his mirrored Top Gun shades when Biebs returned to the stage to accept an award in ANOTHER all-leather look—this one a slightly unbuttoned baseball jersey and slightly baggier drop-crotch pants.

That would be more than enough leather to warrant a double-take or two, but then Justin took the stage a THIRD time for a performance of "#ThatPower" with will.i.am. Instead of all-black, Biebs infused a little metallic silver paneling in this leather look, replete with silver ribbing flanking the knees of yet another pair of leather drop-crotch pants. Also, he accessorized with silver leather fingerless gloves that kinda sorta looked like they bled into his jacket. #glovesleeves?

Taylor Swift Wears "Haters Gonna Hate" Unicorn Tee in Billboard Music Awards Performance

Taylor Swift may not actually be 22 anymore, but she's become the official ambassador of that oh-so-very fun and confusing early 20's age with her song of the same name. Tay performed "22" at the 2013 Billboard Awards tonight, and while we thought at first that she was wearing the tap shorts and tee that have become her go-to performance look as of late, our eagle eyes quickly realized that Taylor wasn't just looking like a cutie in her on-stage look. No, she was telling us something. Her bright blue baby-t, which she wore tight and tucked into her nautical shorts, featured a picture of a sparkly unicorn with a thought bubble. What do you think rainbow bright is thinking while adorning Swifty's tee? If you thought "HATERS GONNA HATE," and let's be real, you didn't, you would be right. "HATERS GONNA HATE," you guys! Any joke you could have made about Tay or her performance, well, failed, because she sees you.

Taylor paired her sassy tee with tight fitting sailor-style tap shorts with gold buttons and a pair of easy-to-dance in brogues. With her hair in a high ponytail and that signature red lip, Taylor Swift looked every bit 22, and we loved it. The look went along with Taylor's blue theme (was she making a nod to the Billboard Music Awards blue carpet?), which she began in a glimmering blue Zuhair Murad mini on the red carpet.

Selena Gomez Does Gold Futurism For Billboard Music Awards Performance

Talk about a change of pace! Earlier tonight, Selena Gomez hit the 2013 Billboard Music Awards red carpet in bright, neon, summery Atelier Versace—a vision of '90s raver steez updated for the step-and-repeat. For her performance, though, Selly opted for warm metallics and over-the-top glamour, swaddling herself in all-gold-everything from the tippy-top of her fashion bindi to the hem of her shimmering double-slit curtain skirt. Gomez performed her hit single "Come And Get It" in an ensemble we're affectionately referring to as "Bollywood meets that one Princess Leia outfit courtesy of Jabba The Hut *WINK*, also Barbarella"—point being, girl looked HOTT (two Ts very necessary).

In a sharp contrast to her ethereal music video styling, Sel embraced the power of a well-constructed metal harness for her Billboard performance outfit. With figure-flattering demi cups, super-high slits, waist-sculpting metal caging and matching thick wrist cuffs, this ensemble totally reads "hottest girl in the post-apocalyptic future universe," and we are SO into it. Selena finished off her stage look with dainty face jewelry, a very healthy tan, and sleek, straight, center-parted hair.

Taylor Swift Glitters In A Zuhair Murad Minidress At Billboard Music Awards

Taylor Swift has always been one of the most consistent style stars on the red carpet, taking an "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" approach to event dressing. There's nothing wrong with that, but that just means it's an even huger deal than usual when the singer strays away from her go-to look. And at tonight's Billboard Music Awards, Taylor decided to go against both her trademark color palette (red, white, silver, gold) AND her signature silhouettes (long gown, princess frock), showing off a side we rarely get to see. Perhaps coordinating with the blue carpet, Tay sported a sparkly blue minidress by Zuhair Murad with sheer panels at the top. Paired with stappy black heels and working major leg, is this Taylor putting her own spin on the Las Vegas locale?! We're betting yes.

With a crazy eyecatching dress like this one, it's always best to keep the rest of the look relatively pared-down. Taylor opted for a bold kohl-rimmed eye and pink makeup, and practically no jewelry except earrings. It's a good look for the star, who's already nabbed a whopping six trophies this year before the show aired! And judging from her outfit, it looks like Taylor's night is going to get EVEN better.

Ke$ha Wears Side-Butt Revealing Givenchy On The 2013 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet

You really never know with Ke$ha. Will she go all out with glitter, crazy talons, and insane makeup on the red carpet, or will she take things in the opposite direction and wear something more classically glamorous. For her turn on the 2013 Billboard Music Awards carpet (which, incidentally, is blue and not red), Ke$ha decided to go with a little bit from column A, a little bit from column B in a daring, ultra-mini Givenchy LBD. With a high neckline and modern, sculptural ruffles down the front, the dress looks at first like it might be may closer to 'nun' than 'naughty,' but then Ke$ha turns to the side and BAM!, you see that the dress has a slit almost all the way up to her hip. Is side-butt the new side-boob? Daring, indeed.

Perhaps to offset the "whoa" factor of the dress, Ke$ha kept her hair and beauty look more towards the minimal side. Her long blonde hair was swept tightly into a smooth, low ponytail, and she kept her lips neutral and wore only a basic, graphic cat eye on her eyes. A pair of chunky nude wedges kept the look springy and all-diamond accessories brightened the otherwise monochrome palate of the look. There was one thing missing from her look, however—Ke$ha had been wearing a ring, but lost it on the carpet! We can't even imagine the horror.

Happy Sunday, y'all! You know it's a good weekend when you can cap it off snuggling up at home for hours upon hours of awards show antics. Tonight, we're settling in for a landslide of summer red carpet steez and performance outfits as the 2013 Billboard Music Awards get underway. The show itself doesn't start until 8 p.m. EST, but the ~~red~~ blue carpet is already heating up as our girl Selena Gomez has just hit the step-and-repeat. It's an earlier-than-usual entrance for Selly, but that's because she's also performing tonight.

The "Come And Get It" performer arrived to tonight's show looking summer-ready in Atelier Versace. A kind of red carpet version of the '90s raver chic trend, Sel's white column dress was accented by BRIGHT neon (pink, lime green, and yellow) contrast piping, silver zipper detailing, and clear plastic paneling over a jigsaw, cross-body cut-out. Gomez kept her beauty game summery as well with glossy light pink lips and a low ponytail that appropriately toed the line between fancy and effortless.

Miley Cyrus Wears Crochet Balmain Jumpsuit To 2013 Billboard Music Awards

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards are off and running, and who better to kick off the night than Miss Miley Ray Cyrus? Even before the singer hit the red— er, blue— carpet in Las Vegas tonight, she tweeted out this photo working the camera in a black and white crochet Balmain jumpsuit. Now, we're already well aware of how much this star LOVES both formal and informal onesies, but haven't seen her in a knitted version of the comfy staple...well, until now. Fresh off the French label's Spring 2013 runway, this intricately-woven piece comes covered in diamonds and teeny tiny cutouts. The result is simultaneously boundary-pushing, effortlessly chic, and 100% Miley.

There's really no bigger fan of achromatic color palettes than Miley (remember those rad Beetlejuice pants?!), but we love how she continues to shake up the classic black and white with pops of color in her beauty look. Still going strong after that gorgeous Valentino jumpsuit she wore to the Maxim Hot 100 party, this time she's showing off bold brows, bright red lips, and a swooped-up, side-parted coif. The PERFECT outfit for her huge BBMA announcement, right? Her new single 'We Can't Stop' is coming out June 3rd, so the countdown officially begins right this second.
