I'm not saying I was nervous for Drake to host SNL. I'm just saying that my insides were convulsing in meaty ways because I just want the whole world to love him the way I do, and OH GOD, what if he totally Phelps'd it? Or what if he was too cool to play along? The best hosts accept and dive into skit concepts that make them look foolish in the best ways possible (see: Hutcherson, Josh.) What if Drake was stiff, or even worse, not funny? FEAR NOT, me. This is a dude who started as an actor, see. And as it turns out, he's still a consummate pro—even in the glare of live television.
How many rappers do you know who will sword fight in a wizard costume, lunge in some shorty shorts, or seamlessly transform into a lame dad? I mean, we're talking about a superstar who FULLY knows that he's a walking meme, but embraces it and continues to propagate it in various ways. I guess he's not too worried about his cool meter—he just wants to have some fun.
ONWARDS, MINIONS! TO THE LOOKS!
We’ve got to hand it to Ye. After a year’s worth of fashion rants (will we ever forget the leather jogging pant?) and one abbreviated overpriced collection for A.P.C., Kanye West is finally living up to his design aspirations. Maybe all of those monologues are just part of his creative process? His second effort for the French brand A.P.C., which was announced on the low last December, just debuted at Paris Fashion Week and it’s full of #dopeness. Kanye’s personality is stamped all over it, from the double-denim looks—and one with a flag-like cape that could have hung in the Yeezus pop-up—to the moody zipper-stitched parkas paired with parachute pants, Timberlands, and balaclavas. For every dark look, there was a suited counterpart, styled with glasses and jackets worn as capes.
But did you really expect Kanye would deliver a collection without a monologue? Think again! After revealing that the collection was inspired by “paint colors” and his idea of the modern family—"It's about what is the new family—it's like me, Kim and North”—Kanye went innnnnn on the industry’s refusal to take him seriously: “Every factory I go to, every time I sit down and talk about it, it’s like whether I’m talking about clothes from the hip-hop side of things or talking about clothes with someone that is in the fashion industry to not have a prejudice against the U-shaped curve of success in your field.”
'Tis the season for golden statuettes and designer gowns! We've gotten a little spoiled over the past couple of weeks in terms of red carpet looks, and luckily for us, the appearances at tonight's SAG Awards did NOT disappoint. We got our fair share of classic formalwear, glamorous gowns, and dapper tuxedos, but there were also some fashion risk-takers who completely stole the show. Take a look at some of our highlights, and let us know which ones are your faves!

Let's all say it together: WOWZA. After her polarizing Golden Globes dress (Is it chic? Is it a ripoff of The Little Mermaid?), we're pretty sure Jennifer Lawrence's 2014 SAG Awards dress will earn 100%-positive reviews. Her couture Dior gown was head-to-toe sequins, sequins, and more sequins, and she pulled it off like a BOSS. Seriously, who else could look that good in THICK, horizontal blue-and-purple stripes? And since the sparkling number was so dazzling on its own, Jennifer was wise to pick just one piece of statement jewelry—in this case, a pair of long gold and purple drop earrings. Her overall look might have still been a little reminiscent of mermaids (sparkling scales and whatnot), but in a much, much better way IMHO.

OK, so the fact that Kerry Washington is a flawless angel isn't exactly news. But you guys... She just took things to a new level. A level we formerly thought could never be reached. In the midst of her second trimester, the Scandal star hit the 2014 SAG Awards red carpet in a custom Prada high-waisted skirt and (wait for it) CROP TOP. Oh, AND the crop top also was completely open in the back. Can everyone join us while we all bow down to Miss Olivia Pope right now? It takes serious guts to bare your belly, even WITHOUT a bun in the oven.

Oh SNAP. The 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet has just started to really pick up, but as far as we're concerned, Breaking Bad's Anna Gunn has already shut this thing down. Granted, our favorite Lupita Nyong'o hasn't done the step-and-repeat yet, but there's really not much that can beat what Miss Gunn has brought to the party. No, we're not talking about her navy blue Monique Lhullier gown (though it is beautiful—that athletic neckline!). We're talking about DAT CLUTCH.
There are only two episodes left of The Carrie Diaries, which means Friday nights will soon be less fashion- and Sebastian-filled. I am upset about both. Last night's episode featured Carrie making moves at Interview and, as always, looking very stylish while doing so. We spoke to the show's costume designer, Eric Daman, about what Carrie wore.

The show opens with Carrie and Sebastian walking in Washington Square Park and stumbling across a grisly scene: a hawk eating a pigeon. No thanks! Eric gave us major deets on Carrie's coat (the third week a patterned coat opens the show, BTW): "OMG. Are you ready for a real behind-the-scenes secret? Carrie Bradshaw is wearing Blair Waldorf's Chloe coat! Fabulously, I might add. Totally making it her own. I was in love with this faded-floral Chloe coat, and while wrapping Gossip Girl, I just knew Carrie could breathe a second life into it, so I 'borrowed' it from Blair Waldorf's closet! When I read this 'walk and talk in the park' scene between Carrie and Sebastian, it seemed like the ideal moment for this gorgeous coat's second coming. To give it true Carrie Bradshaw appeal, we paired it with a wide-brimmed hat, knee-high Sergio Rossi boots, and Melie Bianco color-blocked bag. Actually, it kinda feels a little Serena-y now that I take a second look! LOL!"

• The Golden Globes were last weekend and we kept tabs on all the fashion from the show, the accessories, and Emma Watson's backless dress. Peep all our coverage from the Golden Globes hurr.
• Beyonce's been wearing a ton of Versace recently and, well, we noticed. We see you, Bey, we see you.
• We spoke with Teen Wolf's costume designer about why Isaac was wearing a scarf when it was obviously warm out. Then we were like, wait, Isaac can wear whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
• We peeped a commercial that appears to be for Beyonce's new perfume. It was heavy on the glitter and hair-flips. We would've bought Rise anyway, but now we're definitely going to buy it.
• Finally, Katy Perry performed in Beijing in never-before-seen outfits. We wondered if they were, perhaps, being considered for her Prismatic Tour because they both included and reflected MAD LIGHT.

Can you believe it's chocolate?
All Photos: Getty Images
Happy Friday, errybodaaay! This week, we were inspired by photos from the Salon Du Chocolat fashion show, so in lieu of food-related items, we decided that THIS Food Friday we’d create a game: Chocolate or Couture? We're pitting fashion made from chocolate against real runway couture looks. It's sure to be the nation’s fave game by, like, next Wednesday.
Below you’ll find six pairs, each of which contains one outfit consisting of elements made from chocolate and one that is constructed completely of non-chocolate materials. To play, just click on whichever of the two images you think is chocolate. If you’re right, you’ll know. If you’re wrong, you’ll also know.
If you think you have the highest score in all of Internetland, be sure to write it in the comments below and then share it with all your friends who definitely care about your ability to correctly identify food from fashion. At the very least, you’ll earn our respect. Good luck!

We have a new fashion consultant in our midst, y'all. No, you don't have to meet her IRL to get her opinion on your look. She'll come to you through the computer and you're probably already familiar with her personal style.
OK, fine. You read the headline. IT'S RIHANNA! RIHplies, my new favorite Tumblr of all time, keeps track of every Instagram comment @badgalriri has offered up to individual fans, fan accounts, critics, and fellow famous peeps. A lot of Rih's replies revolve around #FASHUN, which makes sense since she has (a) designed her own line of clothing, (b) produced and sat on the panel of Styled to Rock, and (c) has on-point personal style. So, without further ado, may I introduce to you: Rihanna, fashion consultant.
SHE'LL OFFER ADVICE...
She has life experience and is happy to weigh in if you're having a hard time deciding what to wear.
Erykah Badu for Givenchy.
We've been waiting for over a month to see the full range of official ads from Givenchy's Spring/Summer 2014 collection. We knew the campaign was to feature Erykah Badu and some stunning up-and-coming models, and even caught a teaser last month, but the images are here folks, and let's just say they were WELL worth the wait.
The portfolio boasts four fierce black-and-white photos, including Erykah's first epic solo shot. The egdy, patterned poncho could easily be overwhelming, but Miss Badu completely commands the look with a regal stance and unwavering eye contact. The other three B&W photos are equally strong. Asia Chow and Dominik's ads feature muted jackets and structured bags, while Maria Borges and Eboni Riley showcase sequins and bangles galore in their joint frame.
