FINALLY! Lady Gaga's been dropping hints about her new September VOGUE cover ever since we reported wayyy back in the summer that she was confirmed to grace the glossy. Now the wait is over...and let's just say it was totally worth it. She debuted the photos via Twitter last night, and they.are.amazing. Honestly, we weren't sure what to expect-would she work a similar cropped bob and severe makeup as her last VOGUE cameo? Would she channel her Bride alias like she did for L'Uomo Vogue? Turns out Mother Monster did a total 180, showing off her glam hourglass figure in a violet Marc Jacobs gown and sky-high blonde hair. Gaga's muse for her look? She said last night of the cover, "I'm totally channeling fozzibear," and also "Who else sees me channeling Ru Paul on the cover of VOGUE." Hey, if there's ANYONE who can turn a Muppett and a drag queen into a high fashion mashup, it's Gaga.

Along with the fact that we still can't get "Domino" out of our heads (hey, we're not mad...), there's another reason Jessie J. holds a special place in our hearts: her ridiculously cool sense of style. The girl can work a head-to-toe printed jumpsuit like it's NDB one day, then turn around and channel her inner flapper on the red carpet the next. It's almost like she doesn't even care what people think, which makes the wardrobe result THAT much cooler. Part of the credit for the U.K. pop star's amazing outfit choices goes to her longtime stylist, Karl Willett, who also dressed Jessie J. on her new "Laserlight" video. However, the twosome (who've worked together forever, we hear) have since parted ways, leaving the singer with a whole new look.
These are 12-inch tall platform shoes by Buffalo.

We have EYES. We've seen platforms before. From Nicki Minaj to Taylor Momsen to Kerli we've been witness to our fair share of high-rise kicks, but these Buffalo Classics certainly take the cake. With a 12-inch heel and 11-inch platform, these black flatform sneakers will make their wearer a full FOOT taller for the equally tall price of $599.95. While they're still shy of the Guinness World Record-breaking 16-inch stiletto heels that hold the title of World's Tallest, I think we can all agree that these are still some MONSTER shoes.
Alexa Chung wears overalls on July 15, Feb. 9 and Aug. 1.

OK, we need to talk. Whenever we see Alexa Chung do anything we totally take note because, duh, she's a fashion "It" girl. She's always on the forefront of trends and trying new things and blahdy blahdy blah, but sometimes we're a wee bit skeptical of the next big thing she's trying to pull off. And lately, that means overalls—real, actual, TLC-style oversized overalls (See also: That House of Style segment on colored denim.) OK, maybe they're not that crazy, but still! We haven't seen these bad boys pop up since the '90s (well, if you don't count Miley Cyrus' denim jumpsuit thing from a few weeks ago), and we're kiiiind of not quite sure if we're ready for it to come back. In mid July, Alexa sported vintage-y denim dungarees with a statement necklace and black tank. She accessorized with ankle espadrille wedges, a snakeskin bag, and circle sunnies. We're sorta feeling this retro vibe, but these overalls are bordering on culottes territory, and yeah.... *shiver*
Jason Schwartzman and three of his Lookmatic "Uncleanord" styles.

Full disclosure: we've harbored a not-so-secret crush on Jason Schwartzman ever since his Rushmore days more than a decade ago. We know, we know...in movie star time, which is kind of like dog years, that's practically forever. But thanks to flicks like Bored to Death, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom AND a side gig modeling for Band of Outsiders, our obsession is still in full-throttle mode, and now it's taken up a notch with his new design project. The actor has created a style of glasses for the online eyewear boutique Lookmatic, putting his adorably eccentric spin on classic vintage frames. Dubbed the "Uncleanord" after a pair of specs he received from his Uncle Leonard (get it?) when he was a kid, the revamped '50s-inspired shape comes in black, olive, and clear prescription styles as well as a sunglasses version.
By now we're quite used to sad Lana Del Rey, sultry Lana Del Rey, and mysterious Lana Del Rey. Smiley Lana Del Rey, however, is a version we haven't seen quite as often, in editorials at least. The retro-cool singer usually sticks to pouty, scorned lover poses when she's under the high-fashion lens, but in her new editorial for Vogue Italia, shot by the legendary Ellen Von Unwerth, Lana takes up all of her usual poses while also cracking one of the sweetest smiles we've seen on the pop star yet. Yes, she still has her big hair, although it's been taken down a notch, and is clad in super luxe looks that are both pin-up sexy and classically glamorous, but there's a new quality to the character that Lana is playing in the photos.
Zac Efron in the John John Denim campaign.

Gulp. What's up with Zac Efron lately? We don't mean that as a rhetorical question, we seriously want to know what happened to him. He somehow became a man over the course of the past year, and we really, really can't handle it. See: The John John Denim campaign that came out yesterday. Like, WUT. We know there are clothes in these pictures, but we can barely see them. All we notice are super ripped biceps and chiseled jaws and scruffy beards, and oh my god, we're disgusting. MOVING ON. The shoot, photographed by Jacques Dequeker, shows off tons of distressed jeans, washed-out graphic tees, and studded denim jackets from the Brazilian clothing line. Zac Efron looks ANYTHING but sweet in these badass campaign photos, which were inspired by Fast & Furious (if you can't already tell). In his first look, he showed off a killer black leather vest over a sleeveless tee and faded jeans. Me-ow.
You really just have to love Azealia Banks. The cheeky lyrics, the trademark mischievous glint in her eye, the mermaid hair for days. Azealia is a bonafide style star in her own right with designers like Alexander Wang and Karl Lagerfeld posting her up as a new muse, flocking to have her front their campaigns or play a show at their homes, AND YET she's not too big to appreciate when other ladies wield exemplary style. We especially love it when AZ takes it far enough to emulate other girlies' steez like with this self-described genie hair the native Harlemite admits is inspired by another MTV Style darling: Grimes!
Lauren Conrad modeling her LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl's.

It's time that year again—Lauren Conrad models her latest LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl's, and we give you alllll the deets on it. For her fall 2012 line, the Hillsie doles out tons of flirty flocks, statement blazers, and colorful denim. Lucky for us, some of it already hit stores and is available to purchase right this second (!!!), but the rest of the line will continue to roll out through October. So, let's talk about those duds, shall we? Above, LC sports a totally school-appropriate red, sleeveless polka dot dress ($64) with some nude pumps and quite possibly the most amazing hair braid/headband thing we have ever SEEN. For a more nighttime-ready ensemble, LC shows off a fun black floral dress ($60) with matching heels. Perf!
What do you think of Adam Lambert's new hair color?.
Photo: Adam Lambert's Twitter
If there's anyone who knows how to shake up his look, it's Adam Lambert. We're talking beauty pro status here, people. There aren't many dudes who can pull off warm-weather leather, glittery three-piece suits, and carefully sculpted facial hair, so we give him major props for that. But even with his beauty ADD, we definitely weren't ever expecting him to swap his trademark black hair for a bleach blonde 'do. But guess what- the day has come (!!) as evidenced by the Twitpic he blasted out to the world yesterday.
