Lady Gaga opens up Philip Treacy's spring 2013 show during London Fashion Week on Sept. 16.

Whew, Lady Gaga's been busy this week! Exactly seven days ago, she was spotted in London wearing a white gown that resembled a wedding dress to the Arts Club in Mayfair, then she flew back to NYC to promote her Fame fragrance (complete with a partially-shaved head and skull tattoo), and just this weekend she was back across the pond making QUITE the impression during London Fashion Week. For the first time in 12 years, iconic Irish milliner Philip Treacy (yes, the guy who made Princess Beatrice's infamous pink fascinator) showed his collection during LFW, and Lady Gaga did her best to properly support the designer—by opening his show in a dramatic sheer pink burka over a floral-embellished nude bodysuit. She stepped out onto the pitch black runway with nothing but a spotlight and the sound of her platform heels hitting the ground, extended her arms out to the side and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, the greatest milliner in the world, Philip Treacy—in the clothes of the late Michael Jackson. Open fashion!" And just when we thought that would be the highlight of the show, Lady Gaga continued to switch up her ensemble off the runway so many times we could barely keep up.
Looks from Christian Siriano's spring/summer 2013 collection at New York Fashion Week on Sept. 8.

Unlike Christian Siriano's dark and vampy fall 2012 collection, his spring 2013 runway was filled with tons of light pink, baby blue and seafoam green pastel pieces that screamed summer. His line included everything from work-ready pearl-accented peplum dresses to button-up brocade jumpsuits to flowy landscape print frocks. Between the tutu silhouettes, soft high buns, and blaring remixed classical music during the show, the inspiration behind the collection was clear—it was ALL about the ballet. When we caught up with Christian backstage, he told us this season's looks were about being "romantic and pretty" and inspired by the American Ballet Theatre's Dream Ballet. "It's kind of an adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream—so very dreamlike, very whimsical," he said. "The whole collection really has that kind of ballet dancer feeling." Ah ha! We knew we were onto something.
Holland Roden at the 2012 Video Music Awards on Sept. 6 on L.A.

OMG, the VMA red carpet has officially opened, which means our MTV.com red carpet host Holland Roden is about to talk all-things fashion with some of our favorite celebs. Eeee! As you may remember, we followed the Teen Wolf star all week long on her timeline to the VMAs—we watched her try out some hairstyles, test out some makeup looks, and even try on some dresses. So, what did she decide to wear on her big debut? A DARLING Pamella Roland number! Her flirty light green frock has a sheer overlay with tons of tiny beads embroidered all over. GLAAAMMOORR. She nailed her beauty look by pulling her hair back into a bouffant retro updo and paired it with a seriously heavy smoky eye and nude lip. PERF. For her accessories, she finished the look with beige peep-toe Giuseppe Zanotti pumps and Neil Lane jewelry. To get all the latest updates on the red carpet, keep checking back on our live blog!

Alicia Keys shows off her new Reebok collection.

We all know Alicia Keys can SANG, but did you know she also has some serious design chops too? The singer hooked up with Reebok Classics to create some limited-edition kicks, and, um, we want them ALL. Alicia did a totally new take on our old Reebok favorites—the Freestyle Hi (5411), Freestyle Double Bubble, Classic Nylon Slim and Princess—which she models oh-so-adorably in the campaign images above. The coolest part, though, is that during the Video Music Awards tonight at 8 P.M. EST (where she is also performing at! Check out her rehearsal pics from last night where she is, yes, wearing the brand), Reebok will debut her new Classics commercial that shows her "soul-searching journey to the top against the world's greatest canvas and Keys' hometown—New York City," according to the press release. Oh la la! "I’ve been a Reebok fan ever since I put on my first pair of 5411's," Alicia said. "Collaborating with Reebok and designing this collection has been such a cool experience because I’ve been able to tap into my creativity in a whole new way. Reebok's one of those brands that have endured the test of time and partnering with them felt like a really natural fit." I mean, when her hubby Swizz Beatz is creative director of the brand it can only BE natural fit, amirite?
Taylor Swift at the 2010, 2009, and 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Hot on the heels of announcing her forthcoming album Red and dropping a record-breaking new single, Taylor Swift isn't quite finished sharing awesome news: this morning we learned that the pop star is officially the fifth artist slated to perform at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards! YES. The singer (and bonafide style darling) has had some seriously epic moments both onstage and off in the past, but the superstar is ready to top it ALL come September 6th. Until then, though, let's predict what Taylor's going to be wearing on the big night. Here's a hint: it just might involve the color red....
Alexa Chung wears overalls on July 15, Feb. 9 and Aug. 1.
Photo: Splash News/Getty Images
OK, we need to talk. Whenever we see Alexa Chung do anything we totally take note because, duh, she's a fashion "It" girl. She's always on the forefront of trends and trying new things and blahdy blahdy blah, but sometimes we're a wee bit skeptical of the next big thing she's trying to pull off. And lately, that means overalls—real, actual, TLC-style oversized overalls (See also: That House of Style segment on colored denim.) OK, maybe they're not that crazy, but still! We haven't seen these bad boys pop up since the '90s (well, if you don't count Miley Cyrus' denim jumpsuit thing from a few weeks ago), and we're kiiiind of not quite sure if we're ready for it to come back. In mid July, Alexa sported vintage-y denim dungarees with a statement necklace and black tank. She accessorized with ankle espadrille wedges, a snakeskin bag, and circle sunnies. We're sorta feeling this retro vibe, but these overalls are bordering on culottes territory, and yeah.... *shiver*
NastyGal and Eastpak backpacks.

We can't explain it, but backpacks totally have a bad rap. Maybe it's the feelings of impending homework, or teachers, or tests *shudder*, but this back-to-school staple doesn't have to be only about lugging heavy textbooks through the hallway. If you ask us, backpacks are the one school supply that we'll happily keep with us even long after we've graduated. Besides the fact that they're actually useful (not many purses have the roominess of a good ol' rucksack), but thanks to goods from labels likeASOS to Baggu to, yes, even Mary-Kate and Ashley's The Row, the massive selection makes these double-duty accessories surprisingly stylish. We've rounded up our favorite back-to-school carryalls below.. Because, after all, we've got your back!

My obsession with Dragonette front-woman Martina Sorbara has recently reached a concerning kind of level. Here's why: On stage, home girl's basically an adorbs pint-sized mind-losing sugar-free Red Bull mascot. She totally gives me Tinkerbell vibes—well, if Tink rocked messy bangs, thrift duds and belted out lovelorn synth-pop bangers to a sea of shredded skinnies-clad hipsters. Also, Dragonette's addiction-resulting shimmering pop gem smash a.k.a. "Hello" (OH HAY Top 40 in over 30 countries!) remains to be my perpetual pre-gaming-on-a-debaucherous-summer-evening go-to jam. Thanks for the devastating hangovers, girl. *chugs three Kombuchas* Incredibly important newsflash: Dragonette is back with new music (!!!) via their Bodyparts LP, out September 25th, and their video for their single, "Let It Go", finds Sorbara getting her Winona Ryder (!!!) circa Girl, Interrupted on, complete with a Robyn-esque, arms-flailing, bangs-whipping, legs-turning-into-squiggly-boiled-pasta hot scorching mess of a dance-a-thon. Because we're amazing and stuff, MTV Style got Sorbara to dish on all of her fave fashion-y thangs, and then our <3s immediately exploded into fairy dust.

Dudes, we need to talk. Specifically, about floral crowns. The beautiful flowers of the world are suddenly going straight from the fields to our foreheads, and it ain't stopping any time soon. We don't mean to point fingers, but we're 99.9% sure this is all Lana Del Rey's fault. She's a flower crown-wearing FIEND, and she's warmed us up to the fact that it's totally OK to wear roses in our hair. In fact, this trend has spread so far that even guys are beginning to sport these bad boys as hair accessories. Uh huh, GUYS. *hides nearest bouquet of flowers from boyfriend* We'll admit we were a bit skeptical of this trend at first, but we've seen sooo many bloggers posting the most 'DORBS floral crown outfits as of late, we can't even deny it anymore—they look dang cute. It adds an instant touch of softness to even the most edgy ensemble and pulls the entire badass boho chic look together in seconds flat.
A still from Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" Video.

Did we say Katy Perry's new video for "Wide Awake" was premiering tomorrow? Well, turns out Christmas came early because IT'S HERE RIGHT NOW! A little gift for your Monday, starting on the set of "California Gurls" and ending on stage for her California Dreams Tour, the video chronicles Katy's journey through the labyrinth of success, from the very first taste to the present moment. The clip explores the dangers of being sucked into a fantasy world and believing too strongly in its illusions- from a poisoned strawberry to a lying prince charming - and does it all in spectacular style. We also need to point out that Katy has a strawberry tattoo on her ankle, which she got to commemorate the success of her debut mainstream album, One Of The Boys. So much meaning to be unpacked! The video is also AWESOME looking, and there are quite a few outfits to be unpacked as well. Katy is led through her journey by a little girl, who, as the license plate on her pink bicycle suggests (it reads 'Kathryn'), is Perry herself, who saves her from some evil bull-headed men in a creepy hospital, and eventually leads her into the light. This video, the eighth single from the deluxe, Complete Confection version of Teenage Dream, marks, along with the upcoming Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D concert film, the end of past two unbelievable years of the singer's career. Teasers for the video showed little girl Katy literally closing the book on Teenage Dream, and although that scene isn't in the final video, you can definitely get a sense of finality from the clip.
