Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Lily McMenamy

Photos: i-D

The latest episode of Lily McMenamy's (brilliant! underrated! hilariously entertaining!) web series for i-D guest stars the legendary Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, who imparts style wisdom and life advice (specifically and winningly: "FASHUN HAVE TO BE FUN") while wearing a Jeremy Scott track suit accessorized with Chanel bags worn as necklaces.

If you're all, "Wait, what, who?," Carlyne is the genius stylist behind Anna Wintour's first-ever Vogue cover (and about a billion covers since), and Lily is the 22-year-old model offspring of '90s supermodel Kristen McMenamy and French nightclub owner Hubert Boukobza. Together they're the coolest chicks you could ever want to have a slumber party and girl talk with. And since you can't actually do that, watching this video is the next best thing.

Selena Gomez i-D magazine

Selena Gomez on 'i-D' magazine's pre-fall 2013 issue.
Photo: Scott Trindle/i-D

As much as we love seeing Selena Gomez hanging out in the back of limos decked out in THE most fancy ensembles, we'll admit that sometimes we just like to see our girl chillin' in some no-nonsense duds. In the pre-fall 2013 issue of i-D magazine, they do just that. Sel is stripped of all her couture gowns and hits the streets of London in nothing more than a jeans and a sweater. In her super 'dorbs debut cover photo, she sports an all-black Margaret Howell pullover with perfectly-tousled waves and barely-there makeup. We LOVE seeing Selena's natural beauty shine through, and, um, can we talk about how she may be the only person in the universe who looks cute while making this face? *bows down*

CL 2NE1 i-D Magazine

CL in 'i-D' magazine.
Photo: Via 'i-D' magazine

Just when we think the bond between Jeremy Scott and 2NE1's CL can't get any stronger, the fashion designer and K-pop star collab once again to make our stone cold fashion hearts melt--this time for i-D magazine! The oh-so-cool twosome have been extremely open about their BFFness (yeah, that's a word), and CL even explained how they partnered up in i-D's latest issue. "When our first album came out, Jeremy saw the video, and I was wearing his shoe collaboration with Adidas. [...] You know when you meet someone and you just know you’re going to be good friends? We had that connection and since then we’ve been like best friends." Awwwww! Well, we couldn't be more happy the two besties linked up because the results we get when they are together are PHENOM. See: The photo above. JS decked out CL in his finest (and most fluorescent!) duds for their latest i-D shoot, and we're obsessed with her hot pink and yellow street wear-meets-raver Jeremy Scott for Adidas puffy coat, hoodie, bustier, and sweatpants ensemble. WERK.

Kreayshawn

It's no secret that we at MTV Style are head-over-heels in love with Kreayshawn. I mean, what's not to love, y'all? A great eye for style, killer eyeliner skills, swag pumping out her ovaries, and, oh yea, she's been IMMORTALIZED in BAPEd-out fashion! We told you the BAPE x Kreayshawn limited edition tees were on their way, but that's not where the streetwear meets Oakland rapper collisions end. i-D magazine caught up with Kreay during a visit to the London flagship store, shot some video and photos, and thankfully, shared the wealth with the Interwebz.

Chelsea Wolfe, pop witch goddess.
Photo: Angel Ceballos

I'm really into this whole "Pop Witch" thing, which probs relates to my Saturday night ritual of partaking in a DIY seance in my witch-stick-smoke-filled bedroom whilst watching the '90s movie magic known as The Craft for the bajillionth time. #FairuzaBalk4Evs We've already got some spooky company in the Pop Witch department (see: Stevie Nicks' iconic shadowy bohemian frocks and Florence Welch's billowing gothic Goddess numbers.) But make (b)room (LOLz) for indie shadow-y siren, Chelsea Wolfe, y'all, whose tunes are often awesomely described as "doom-drenched electric folk." Besides the mind-losing reviews for her most recent LP, Apokalypsis (WHUT!), there's also her UH-MAZING style game-particularly her penchant for a good veil. *Sartorial spirit fingers* So, for this week's Favorite Things, I had a chat with the dark crooner about her killer closet, which includes a seriously spooky horse hair and horn cuff/and which may or may not have resulted in me sliding under my desk. *J'Dead* In other words, don't mind me as I pretend it's 2004 while getting a tramp stamp with my fave Wolfe lyrics ("We could be two straight lines in a crooked world") before, duh, uploading that ish all up on mah MySpace. #EmoChic

Andrew Garfield on V Man and i-D

Welcome to the summer of Andrew Garfield. Thanks to starring in one of 2012's biggest blockbusters , The Amazing Spider-Man (which hits theaters in July!), no matter where you turn, you're going to see his precious little face staring right back at you. (Including the 2012 Movie Awards because he's presenting! YASSS.) We're so not mad at this because 1.) It means we have more reasons to ogle him in that crotch-hugging Spidey suit and 2.) It also means, YAY! He's on the cover of, like, every magazine ever. Just this week we were hit with two gorge cover shots of Andrew—one on i-D and another on V Man.

Emma Watson for "i-D" magazine.
Photo: Courtesy of "i-D" magazine

Don't think that just because our worlds crumbled catastrophically when Harry Potter ended earlier this summer that this would be the last time we'd ever see Emma Watson (Hermione, don't go!!!) again. Our favorite brainiac wizardess is booked SOLID for the rest of the year with a new Marilyn Monroe movie and an edgy role in the upcoming teen rebellion flick The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Oh, and then there's the new campaign for Lancôme cosmetics, which will soon gift us with L'eau d'Emma (aka Lancôme's Trésor Midnight Rose perfume). Whatever will we do in the meantime? We can thumb through the glammed-up 'n' golden photo shoot of Emma in the new September issue of i-D magazine for starters!

Kreayshawn on the cover of "i-D Magazine."
Photo: Courtesy of i-D

It's no secret that we're a little obsessed with Oakland rapper/director Kreayshawn. The ease with which she shape-shifts through look after look is the kind of stuff we wish for with fingers crossed and eyes squeezed shut. The VMA Best New Artist Nominee's chameleon-like power to mesh hip-hop swag with a hipster DIY spirit has us watching her EVERY move and taking notes Memento-style all over our body. But above all else, what we admire the most about this girl is her diamond-solid, consistently mind-melting beauty game, blazing at white-hot temperatures on this cover of i-D Magazine.

One of Katy Perry's looks from her 'E.T.' music video.
Photo: Courtesy of Katy Perry's Facebook.

• This week Katy Perry TOTALLY stole the show us with her new, alienesque 'E.T.' video! We pulled out every single look from the out-of-this-world vid, interviewed Kabuki, the miracle makeup man behind her transformation, and when Katy called for fans to re-create her extraterrestrial looks, we spotlighted our favorites. Why? Because we love you.

• BRITNEY'S BACK! And she showed off her hot bod in bejeweled bodysuits as she performed back on the stage like the good old days. Plus, gurl was ROCKING some Dolce & Gabbana all over her Femme Fatale album artwork!

Justin Bieber upgraded his bling and showed off his fandom at the same time when he switched out his dog tag necklace for a pendant of Stewie Griffin from Family Guy. All the while, his main lady, Selena Gomez, took Perez Hilton's Blue Ball Birthday Bash theme to heart and came out as queen of the Smurfs in her all-out blue ensemble.

• This season of Jersey Shore may be over, but that doesn't mean the casties are in hiding! Snooki stepped out in a homemade "Brunette Mafia" shirt that we're sure would be way easy to knock off.

Kelis wore crazy frontless pants, Jena Malone showed us how to wear blue eye shadow with class, style bloggers showed off their favorite animal prints, and we saw celebs sporting thick-strapped shoes all over the red carpet.

Vanessa Hudgens played it casual cool in a few T-shirts, and we showed you where to snatch them up. Meanwhile, Jennifer Hudson glammed it up in gorgeous bracelets, which got us hunting for more animal-themed jewelry that's just as drool-worthy.

• We peeked across the pond to see what our favorite British babes were wearing! Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller, Adele, and more showed us what's what with their stylish selves.

• The black hearts that British singer/songwriter Kate Nash and "90210" actress Shenae Grimes recently rocked on their cute mugs grabbed our attention! Did you <3 or </3 it?

• Before peeking between the pages, a magazine's gotta catch your eye! We rounded up all our favorite cover girls on the latest issues of Glamour, Rolling Stone, Elle and i-D. Some wore supercute getups, and others wore nothing at all!

• What were those hot dudes up to this week? Korean loverboy Rain showed off his glistening Hot Dude torso. Thanks to our moms' love of Criminal Minds, we finally discovered Mr. Hot Patootie Matthew Gray Gubler. Patrick Wolf proved that he is the ultimate boss of buttons. Oh yeah, and Ed Westwick looked supercute as he canoodled with a manfriend. Finally, Romeo picked daddy David Beckham's nose in public, but still managed to look hot. Plus, Moby and Marilyn Manson hugged it out while we captioned the pic!

Have a very stylish weekend!

We love magaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiines (and blogs too, obvs) and having worked on a couple in my day, you ALWAYS feel crazy-triumphant when you know right down to your stomach lining that you've nailed your cover shot. To celebrate the ultraMEGAgorge frames that emblazon our favorite glossies, we're starting a new franchise called "Cover Girl Roundup" (yeeeeeah, SEO whadaaaaaps?! [just a little internet insider LOLs, humor us]). Anyhoo, in this installment we've got 'Glamour,' 'Rolling Stone,' 'Elle' and the "Exhibitionist" issue of 'i-D.'

GLAMOUR:

Freida Pinto, Emma Stone, and Ashley Greene.

Glamour has brought you the darling buds of May. Namely Ashley Greene, Freida Pinto and Emma Stone for a three-way split where the ladies are looking fresh-faced, tousled and freakin' AWESOME in floral prints with retro cuts. Mmmmm... Dolce & Gabbana (back tax kerfuffle notwithstanding).

ROLLING STONE AND ELLE:

Rihanna and Robyn.
Photo: Courtesy of 'Rolling Stone' and 'Elle'

Uuuuuuum. Hi RiRi. So, you look wonderful. Rihanna is wearing a Tom Tom Fashions tank and shorts that appear to have been applied with a STEADY HAND AND A STENCIL. Good lord, girl mess with the entire internet's productivity, don't you? One of our FAVORITES, Robyn, rocks a Prada baroque motif dress for the fashion ladymag's music issue (she's also seemingly encountered some sort of alarming GIANT judging from her expression).

i-D MAGAZINE:

Lady Gaga and Karlie Kloss with Jourdan Dunn.
Photo: Courtesy of 'i-D'

Gaga going Mugler has been seen all over these information superhighways care of the social networking might of Nicola Formichetti, but what you may not know is that the aptly titled "Exhibitionist" issue of i-D featured three other covers. AAAAAAAND some of them were naked, lest anyone slept. Say hullo to Karlie Kloss and Jourdan Dunn. And then stay a while to tip your hat (a hat making you WAY overdressed for all of this) to Anja Rubik; plus, Meghan Collison, Shu-Pei and Tati Cotliar. They're hot. And NOT down to wear "Hello My Name Is..." tags just so you can keep 'em straight. IT WOULD RUIN THE SHOTS. GAWD.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
