The quack is back! DJ duo Duck Sauce has finally rolled out a new single in "It's You," two years after "Big Bad Wolf" and three after their immensely popular "Barbra Streisand," and it's (expectedly) a banger if we do say so ourselves. The track itself hase been in circulation for a few weeks now, but yesterday, Armand Van Helden, A-Trak and their team released the "It's You" music video. Which brings us to why we, purveyors of all things style, are talking about it: it's ALL. ABOUT. HAIR.

Riding high off the luxe leopards and leathers of last season and the rich metallic experimentations of the preceding spring/summer collection, Diesel Black Gold went for an extra specific inspiration this Spring 2013 New York Fashion Week. Creative Director Sophia Kokosalaki looked to the Josh Brolin '80s skateboarding flick Thrashin' (often alternately referred to as Skate Gang) as the cultural muse for this, her last collection with Diesel Black Gold. The movie, if you haven't seen it, takes place in '80s L.A. and centers around Brolin's character Corey Webster, his crew "The Ramp LOCALS" who are characterized by their feathered bangs and faded neons, and the run-ins they have with the other resident skate gang "The Daggers" - purveyors of many leathers and denims.
Waka Flocka Flame, A-Trak, and Big Sean all made an appearance at Kanye West's fall 2012 after party.

Not to be all, "We told you so!" but we totally called it earlier today when we thought Azealia Banks would be performing at Kanye West's second-ever Paris Fashion Week show. Little did we know, we wouldn't be graced with just Ms. Banks presence, but also Waka Flocka Flame, A-Trak, Big Sean, Common, AND Mos Def. Um, did Yeezy go big or what? The rappers took over Kanye's runway space in Paris (which included a racing track around the seats) for an all-out after party that we wish soooo hard we were invited to. *single tear* Luckily, thanks to this thing called THE INTERNET, we were able to scrap together what this fashion-filled event entailed.
Diplo, Skrillex, and A-Trak on the cover of 'Billboard' magazine.

Electronic dance music gods Diplo, Skrillex, and A-Trak cover the latest issue of Billboard magazine, and, well, we're a little swoony. First of all, we're super into the fact that electronic music is having its fair share of attention these days, and that it has been catapulted to the forefront of popular music again thanks to pioneering DJs and producers like these fine fellows. At a time when the way we discover music—let alone the way artists release it—is forever changing, it's refreshing to see what was often considered a subculture scene find its way to the more mainstream. Also, these three gentlemen have several Grammy Award nominations between them. Oh, and they're seriously stylin'. Let's break down this mega blazer-slash-varsity-jacket-slash-scarf action bizness because, BOY, are we're feeling it.

• We've covered EVERY SINGLE THING you need to know before going to prom this year! We took dress inspiration from our favorite prom movies (and the streets!), found ways to do your own hair for less, picked out the best frocks for under $100, got tips on what NOT to do on the big day from the Worst. Prom. Ever. movie, picked up some hot dress trends from Sherri Hill, and finished our entire prom look with some KILLER nails.
• But to look good at prom, you're going to need a date! We picked out our top prom king contenders: high-fashion guy Kanye West, all-American pretty boy Ethan Peck, class clown Aziz Ansari, supercute music dude A-Trak, and loner outcast hottie Robert Pattinson. Who do YOU think should be crowned prom king?!
• It's been a HELLUVA week in the shoe department! Lady Gaga sported shoes with dildos on them, Skechers started making Shape Ups for little girls, Madonna put her cray cray black and white Chanel boots up for auction, and Keri Hilson rocked GINORMOUS bright yellow platform wedges.
• This week we noticed some, erm, more interesting trends. Take a gander at: larger-than-life hair, wedding dresses made out of toilet paper, exposed bras in public, cat hairball jewelry, and REALLY REALLY huge septum rings.
That's all, folks! Stop back in on Monday for more must-have fashion news!
For the whole week, MTV Style is bringin' you nothing but mega-awesome-super-must-have-everything-you-need-to-know-before-going-to prom coverage. But you know what? We can't forget about the boys! Each day we're picking a hot dude with SERIOUS jealousy-inducing "I wish he was MY prom date" style and at the end of the week, we'll pick our prom king! Who shall be crowned the ultimate prom style icon? Check back on Friday to find out!
In high school, there are three types of dudes that get all the attention: the superstar athletes, the crazy-smart brainiacs, and the lead actor in the plays. But we bet your bottom dollar that A-Trak prooooobably blew ALL of the other sophomore boys out of the water—he won the DMCs World DJ Championship when he was only 15. Yeahhhhh. Imagine sitting next to him in music class. Since then, A-Trak (who also happens to be brother to Chromeo hottie David Macklovitch) went on tour with Kanye West as his DJ, announced that he would also be touring alongside Travis Barker from Blink-182, became a record label MOGUL in launching Fool's Gold, and co-helmed the creation of that "Barbra Streisand" song that NEVER EVER LEAVES YOUR HEAD. (P.S.- Kind of hilar that both Kanye AND A-Trak made our prom court list considering they're BFFs. What can we say? We like our music dudezzz.)
But to be crowned the ultimate prom king, it isn't just about smarts and popularity—it's also about style, duh. When A-Trak stopped by NYC in April, he pulled out the WORKS for his onstage ensemble. He wore an unimpeachably classy, black, single-button, shawl-collar tux, crisp white shirt with contrast button detailing and a super 'dorbs, jauntastic velvet bow tie. The fit, of course, was impeccable. The minute we saw this getup, we just wanted to coax/shove him into our limo IMMEDIATELY and dub him our prom date who you "don't know" because he "doesn't go here" and make alllll of the other girls jealous on the big day. So what do you think, ladies? Is he crown-worthy?
