We watched last night's Ed Sheeran doc. You did, too. But did you catch all those close-ups of his kicks? Our favorite loop-pedaling ginger is a bunch of things—singer, songwriter, Taylor Swift needlepoint recipient—but did you know dude's a sneakerhead, too?
For a guy who's constantly on the go, jet setting from one side of the globe to the other, he switches up his kicks with a truly mind-blowing frequency. In fact, he's pretty much never photographed wearing the same pair of shoes...quite the style statement for a guy who's allegedly not into fashion. (He recently told Billboard magazine, "I’ve just never really given a F about what people are wearing, so I don’t know why people care about what I have on.") Regardless, the people (me) do care what he has on, particularly if he's wearing a pair of VERY RARE Airs in a sold-out colorway.
I, for one, would love to know his secret. Does he travel with suitcases full of Jordans? Or does he wear 'em once, leaving a trail of Yeezys in his wake and picking up new ones as he goes? Or does he spend all his spare time trolling eBay and bidding on limited-edition Dunks? Whatever the explanation, Ed's collection is cool enough to impress even the most discerning sneakerhead out there. Also impressive? The fact that he's literally never been photographed in shoes that aren't sneakers, not even on the Grammy red carpet. His dedication is admirable.

Last night in the motherland of Nike, otherwise known as Portland, Oregon, Drake took a concert breather to let the crowd know he drove 28 hours through a snowstorm to stand there before them. He praised the city's roaring populace of bicyclists and single women. And then he announced his induction into the Team Jordan family, claiming it was the best day of his life. Not long after, he posted some teaser pics to his Instagram account.
Last week, Kanye West said "OK BAHYE" to Nike after a five-year partnership and signed a reported $10 million deal with Adidas. Three Stripes publicly confirmed their alliance yesterday.
COINCIDENCE? Prooooooooobably not.

Winter's coming! Hide your kids (sneakers), hide your wives (other sneakers). Shackle the shutters, gather your loved ones and light a fire! (Not with sneakers. #RIPLeftEye)
All right, calm down. Just because snow will soon dust the ground doesn't mean that you absolutely must say good-bye to sneaks for several gloomy months. In fact, there's hope for us all, sneaker lovers. We have options. Good ones! So take a deep breath, find acceptance in your mind grapes for the upcoming season, and let's discuss ways to keep sneakers in regular winter rotation without sacrificing them to slush, salt, snow and doom. No shade to boots, though. Boots are great. We love boots. All hail boots! But back to sneakers.
Am I the only one who feels compelled to eat these?

God’s greatest gift to man is the Air Jordan sneaker. In this particular case, God being the God of Basketball himself, Michael Jordan. His second greatest gift is a tie: either his 1988 Slam Dunk competition-winning-jam-from-the-foul-line OR his game six winning shot against the Jazz in ‘98. [Ed Note: If you were looking for Space Jam here, EXHALE. We haven't forgotten it. No study of Jordan is complete without it.] But that’s not what this article is about. This article is about Js.
Earlier this week, Mike WiLL Made It dropped a video for the track “23”, which features Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J paying homage to what may be the most beloved, revered and collected sneaker in all the land. For the uninitiated who may be thinking, "Well dang, where have these been all my life?" (everywhere, TBH) or, "I wish I could wear Jordans but don't think I can pull 'em off!" (you can) or, "Does this mean I have to play sports now?" (no)—we are here to act as a gentle guide. Let us introduce you to the majestic and enchanting world of Air Jordans. (Fair ladies/gents of #TeamJordan #Been#Trill#, you may not need this guide, but stick around for fun. Have a snack. Chime in, if you will.)
While the rest of the world is still reeling from her jaw-dropping VMA performance, Miley Cyrus is keeping it moving. Miles spent last night shooting Mike WiLL Made It's upcoming music video, "23," in Brooklyn. If you haven't heard any of the track yet (AND being that, currently, Miley and Mike are 20 and 24 years old), this isn't akin to Taylor Swift's age-anthemic, "22." Instead, judging from the behind-the-scenes wardrobe that Miley revealed via Twitter, the double-digit numerical song title refers to G.O.A.T. NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Rita Ora at the Ad Week concert in New York City.

If there's one thing we know about Rita Ora, it's that this girl LOVES her sneakers. Since Day One the U.K. singer has paired her kicks with everything from minidresses, to maxiskirts, to jumpsuits, and seriously DOMINATES every time. And sure, occasionally Rita will swap out the sneaks for heels, but let's be real: it's tough to find a pop star who's singlehandedly monopolized the shoe game as well as this one. Just when we thought it couldn't go any further, this week Rita took her sneaker swag to the next level- literally- with customized Air Jordan platforms! (Pause to re-read the previous sentence). No, we're NOT kidding. And yes, they're just as amazing as they sound. Rita showed off her new pair on Twitter, saying "TONIGHTS FOOTWEAR, CUSTOM JORDANS..... DONT GET MAD. I KNOW YOU ARE." We're not mad, Rita...we're just really jealous.

Every morning when we get ready for work, we always ask ourselves the same question, "What shoes should I wear with this outfit?" For Rita Ora, the answer is easy: sneakers! The Kosovo-born singer can't get enough of her trainers and neither can we. She'll sport lace-up sneaks with literally every ensemble in her wardrobe, and she's totally teaching us a thing or two about how to exude utter chicness while still being comfortable. Yesterday while promoting her ORA album release, she wore a fiery two-piece Meat Clothing latex flame number. She finished the look with black and red patent leather Air Jordans that are a DEAD. ON. match with her ensemble. Nicely done!

Remember that one time when the chorus of Far East Movement's "Like A G6" was the only thing you'd sing whilst self-exfoliating at home on a lonely Saturday night? Those were the days. *Sigh* Anywho, one inebriated evening circa 2010, I bolted/tripped over to the jukebox at my fave local suspicious-smelling gay dive faster than a frenetic pelvic thrust because I HAD to know the name, and then obvs the steeze, of the enigmatic, purring female serving it to the kids on the euphoric jam. The answer is now, obvs, Dev. First of all, 'Dev' is a bad-to-the-bone, Dev-ilish name, so fierce hand waves to that hotness, girl. But following much chin-scratching and a Google Image search via iPhone minutes later (which basically = a rad pompadour situation, a slew of tattoos and cuckoo kinds of bling) another (totes healthy) obsession was born. Nowadays, I'm driving the MTV Style office all sorts of "STFU!" cray as a result of my latest fave sang-it-loud-and-proud jam, "In My Trunk" from Dev's popgasm of a debut album, The Night The Sun Came Up. Sing it with me you guys: "I got that thump it's in mah trunk, it's in mah trunk…" The lyrics are basically >>>>> and Fergalicious. So, duh, I hit up Dev for this week's installment of Favorite Things. Homegirl e-mailed me a detailed map of her uhmazing tattoos (!!!) and more sartorial hot sauce, so if you hear me shrieking profanities and/or catch the sound of "In The Dark" lyrics echoing across St. Mark's today after work, don't be alarmed... I'm just wearing my <3 (inspired by Dev) on my sleeve. #NoPainNoStyleGain

We're already head-over-heels for Theophilus London's one-of-a-kind style, but then we peeped his recent interview with StyleLikeU, and now we're straight-up obsessed. The Brooklyn-based rapper dishes on everything from his Anna Wintour mockery tee ("I'm sure she'll think it's funny") to his uh-mazing purple dip-dyed shirt, and even admits he doesn't have a stylist! We were flabbergasted and thought we should share all the other amazing style facts we learned about Theophilus from his interview. Check it out below!
