Style has moved! come with us to mtv news »

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards are fast-approaching, and as we count down the days until the doling out of the golden popcorn, MTV Style has all the fash-related coverage of the awards and nominees. So far, we've brought you the most-memorable style moments of this year's Best Female and Male performance nominees and showed you our fashion homage to Easy A. Today, we're serving up our very own Polyvore shrine to a film that is up for four awards: Black Swan. AND don't forget, you can watch clips and vote for all of your favorite performances here!

A 'Black Swan'-Inspired Polyvore Set
Photo: Polyvore

If you're a member of the American female population, you have 100 percent seen Black Swan because you think Natalie Portman is the prettiest human to ever live and you've been obsessed with her since Star Wars: Episode I/Garden State/V for Vendetta/Mars Attacks! If you're a dude, then you've also undoubtedly seen this movie, but you fall under one of two situations: either you were dragged to see it by your significant other, or you and your buddies went to see it solely for this scene (click and scroll down) (side note: If you fall into the latter category, then you're probably not reading this blog anyhow but WHATEVZ). Either way, Black Swan is totally one of those iconic films of the current era that we're going to be talking about for years, and Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis give some of the most impressive performances of their careers and arguably of any young starlet of this generation. PLUS, the costume department for Black Swan is totally high-fash-conscious—ZOMG RODARTE—so it obvi holds a special place in our hearts. To commemorate our undying love for this film (aside from the feather-strewn candlelit shrine we've erected in its honor), we offer you this humble Polyvore set of Black Swan-inspired amazingness.

As a more wearable interpretation of Nina's Black Swan costume, we found this black Cynthia Rowley feather tutu and a set of charcoal/gray Stila eye shadow. Since most daywalking citizens are averse to traipsing around with a gem-encrusted tiara on their heads, we tracked down a more subtle way to channel your inner princess with this Lucyn's tiara-shaped ring. A light pink Dion Lee tulle short-sleeved dress, Essie nail polish, and lady-like ribbon-laced Vionnet heels call to all things ballet. A swipe of red Stila lipstick harkens back to when Nina went totally crazy-pants and stole that tube from the dressing room of legendary dancer Beth MacIntyre, and the nail files in the top right are to remind you of/prevent you from re-creating that revolting scene where she rips her nail out in the sink for NO GOOD REASON. NIGHTMARES. Finally, we top the set off with this George Angelopoulos mirrored clutch for reasons you'll never know unless you've seen/until you see the movie. Fin.

It's OFFICIAL! It's Movie Awards season again! The 2011 MTV Movie Awards site was just launched yesterday for your viewing (and VOTING) enjoyment. We'll be covering the MMAs starting now until the big day, Sunday, June 5 (mark your calendars, y'all!), when Jason Sudeikis takes the stage as your host for the evening, so there are NO EXCUSES for missing it! Our 2011 MTV Movie Awards coverage starts up with a look back at all the most stylish moments of this year's Best Female Performance nominees: Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Jennifer Aniston, Kristen Stewart, and Natalie Potman. Vote for your leading ladies and check snippets of each performance here!

EMMA STONE

Emma Stone at the "Easy A" premiere in Toronto on Sept. 11, 2010, at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California, on Jan. 16, 2011, and at the Conde Nast Traveler Annual Hot List party in West Hollywood, California, on April 11, 2011.
Photo: Getty Images

Nominated For: Best Female Performance - Easy A
Character Name: Olive
Memorable Style Moments: Emma Stone has been an undeniable fashion force of late. She's been experimenting with her hair, running the options from deep scarlet to stark blonde, and rocking insanely vibrant lipstick like it's NBD. Needless to say, we've been loving it. We love her age-appropriate ice-blue cocktail-length dress with floral overlay and monster shoulder pouf where an updo and minimal jewelry don't jockey for attention, but it was at this year's Golden Globes when she swanned in an impossibly sleek apricot Calvin Klein in which she truly knocked us dead. The tousled milk-white hair, fuchsia lipstick and cornflower blue ensemble with the prettily demure accessories was a definite close second.

EMMA WATSON

Emma Watson at the world premiere of "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows" in London on Nov. 11, 2010, visiting "Late Show With David Letterman" in New York City on Nov. 15, 2010, and attending the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Ball in New York City on May 3, 2010.
Photo: Getty Images

Nominated For: Best Female Performance - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Character Name: Hermione Granger
Memorable Style Moments: Emma Watson gets all the points in the world for having the most-gorgeous features that allow her to rock a pixie while appearing totally chic and feminine. A style muse and the face of houses like Burberry, Watson wowed crowds at the London premiere of the latest Potter flick in a Rafael Lopez feathered frock wherein she again defied logic and expectation by proving that petite ladies can appear as stunningly leggy as 6-foot-tall models. Of course, Watson looks just as breezily stylish in jeans and an oversize sweater + shirt combo. Especially when her studded status bag shines as hard as her impish grin, and finally, we've got blast-from-the-past Watson, in Burberry (of course) at last year's Met Gala, where we perhaps first noticed that wee little Hermione had grown the hell up in a white couture gown cut to there.

JENNIFER ANISTON

Jennifer Aniston at "Exposados" (The Bounty Hunter) photo call in Madrid, Spain on March 30, 2010, leaving the "Wanderlust" movie set in New York City on Nov. 20, 2010, and at the premiere of "Just Go With It" in New York City on Feb. 8, 2011.
Photo: Getty Images

Nominated For: Best Female Performance - Just Go With It
Character Name: Katherine
Memorable Style Moments: Jennifer Aniston's looked good for so long (and no, dudes, that is not at all a jab at her age reeeelax) that we often forget how awesome her perfected style science is. Her hair? Perfectly colored, perfectly coiffed, perfectly spot-on for the occasion. Whether it's a sleeveless sheath showcasing her shapely arms accessorized with a simple gold watch, or suede wedges offsetting a black shrunken leather moto jacket that fits so perfectly she looks sewn in, or a form-fitting, draped-to-death blue-black Dolce & Gabbana, Aniston always looks elegant and laid-back Hollywood done right.

KRISTEN STEWART

Kristen Stewart at the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in Los Angeles on June 24, 2010, at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York City on May 8, 2010, and at the screening Of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in New York City on June 28, 2010.
Photo: Getty Images

Nominated For: Best Female Performance - The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Character Name: Bella Swan
Memorable Style Moments: Kristen Stewart's just got good genes and that youthful insouciance where she looks cool no matter where she's at or what she's wearing. Her hair, even in a braided sweep, always has the correct number of stray pieces, and regardless of what color her tresses are it never looks like it required too much effort. Whether in single-sleeved sequins and feathers from Elie Saab that created a FUHRENZY or an architectural bodice with see-through "illusion skirt" hemline by none other than Chanel (whoa, waaaay early on that trend, right?) or a immensely ornate appliqued, skintight mini Roland Mouret dress, K. Stew keeps us on our toes with an unexpected curveball and reveals a confidence that makes us 0.0034 percent OK-er with the fact that her boyfriend is insanely, unfairly, ridiculously gorgeous.

NATALIE PORTMAN

Natalie Portman at the 67th Venice International Film Festival in Venice on Sept. 1, 2010, at the "Black Swan" Press Conference in Toronto on Sept. 14, 2010, and at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' second annual Governors Awards in Hollywood on Nov. 13, 2010.
Photo: Getty Images

Nominated For: Best Female Performance - Black Swan
Character Name: Nina Sayers
Memorable Style Moments: The thing everyone says about Natalie Portman is that she's a consummate professional, and that's hardly a surprise since when it comes to looking awesome, this chick's on her job. The whippet-thin actress would look good in jeggings and a canvas smock, but when it comes to event dresses, N. Port keeps it well played with a *golf clap*. Look at the way this scarlet Rodarte she wore to Venice moves? Flawless. And check out this contrast: Even with a somewhat shapeless, super-casual, sweater dress, the peekaboo sleeves and truncated length make it not only cute but really freaking cool. The Lanvin she wore to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences' Governors Awards got torn by critics for the unflattering draping, but we have to say we LOVE the color and find the asymmetry wholly pleasing. In short, haters can suck it.

Stock up now—tutus just might be one of the hottest trends for spring (point shoes not required). According to The New York Times, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte (who created the costumes for Black Swan) aren’t the only designers with ballet on the brain. Pieces from the spring 2011 runway collections of Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, and J. Mendel included everything from poufy miniskirts to shredded fabrics and feathers (sounds dancer-esque to us!). Plus, stores like Bloomingdale’s and ASOS are already selling the ballerina skirts. Not to toot our own trend-spotting horn, but we sort of saw this coming from a mile away. Remember?! And now, celebs including actress AJ Michalka, singer Katy Perry, and model Jessica Hart are rocking the tutu like it’s going out of style. But it’s not!

If a dress is like a Christmas tree, then accessories are definitely the trimmings! Bags and jewelry are small pieces that can have a big, dramatic effect on the overall look of an outfit, as we saw on a number of celebrities this year. From Katy Perry's Gummi Bear ring to Kanye West's bold, gold BET Awards necklace, it appeared that accessories could be just as attention-grabbing as the main outfits themselves.

LADY GAGA'S WHITE BIRKIN BAG: Lady Gaga showed some love to her Japanese fans in a unique way in April when she landed at the New Tokyo International Airport in Japan for her world tour stop. Gaga carried a white Hermès Birkin bag, which had the phrase "I love little monster, Tokyo love" written in Japanese characters with black marker.

STEPHANIE PRATT'S ALEXANDER MCQUEEN CLUTCH: Stephanie Pratt jazzed up her little black dress with a fuchsia eel-skin knuckle-duster clutch by Alexander McQueen at a "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" party in August. The finger loops, which were adorned with huge baubles and metallic skulls, added major glam to Stephanie's otherwise basic outfit.

ALEXA CHUNG'S ALEXA MULBERRY BAG: Oh, Alexa Chung. Oh, leopard print. How we adore you both. The "It Girl" rocked this Mulberry bag (named after her!) during New York Fashion Week in February, and it was the perfect accessory for her low-key but gorgeous outfit.

NATALIE PORTMAN'S BOOK CLUTCH: Natalie Portman showed off a look that was brainy AND beautiful for the New York premiere of Black Swan in November. The actress carried a gorgeous green "Lolita" book clutch made by Olympia Le-Tan.

RACHEL BILSON'S RED CHANEL PURSE: The other Gossip Girl (Blake Lively) may have landed the endorsement deal, but that didn't stop Rachel Bilson from sporting a red version of Chanel's iconic quilted bag with chain straps to Paris Fashion Week. The pop of color made her stand out in the sea of other fashionistas.

KATY PERRY'S ACCESSORIZED HANDS: Katy Perry wore a ring that was downright delicious before a performance in Berlin this September. The ROMEiNGPANDA 3 Finger Multi-Colored Ring featured five colorful Gummi Bears! A few days later at the MTV Video Music Awards, Katy modeled mini-portraits of her beau Russell Brand on each of her nails.

KANYE WEST'S BIG GOLD JEWELRY: The gold necklace Kanye West rocked at the 2010 BET Awards was so huge, it went all the way down to his waist. The rapper's bling, a pendant of Egyptian deity Horus, looked amazing teamed with his bright red suit, and just-as-large double-pyramid ring.

NICKI MINAJ'S CHANDELIER NECKLACE: To say that Nicki Minaj's fashion statements are over the top may just be the understatement of the year. But somehow, the singer makes it work every time. At the BET Awards, Nicki decorated her beige dress with a huge, dangling chandelier necklace with oversize crystals that almost outshined her bright orange 'do.

JARED LETO'S STRIPED SUNGLASSES: Jared Leto showed that animal print isn't just for the ladies (or for clothes) when he wore zebra-striped sunglasses to an MTV press conference in August. The pink and black frames looked hot with his bleached blond hair and bright blue jacket.

Natalie Portman at the 'Black Swan' premiere in New York.

• It was a huge week for Natalie Portman! She rocked the Black Swan premiere in a gorgeous gown and went for a shorter frock at the Gotham Film Awards. Our favorite look? When she paired a fun Lolita book clutch with a black Dior dress. Smart!

• What were our favorite hustlers up to? Jared Leto dyed his hair blue, Cee Lo Green stopped by to talk women's fashion, Rivers Cuomo rocked geek-chic attire, Josh Duhamel embraced the laid-back look, and David Beckham grew a burly beard.

• After Rihanna told Kanye West in an interview that she's "over the whole structured clothing, overly shoulder-padded s***," we officially said goodbye to her shoulder pads, too. They lived a short life, and may they rest in peace.

• The mean girls are at it again! Gossip Girl stars Taylor Momsen and Katie Cassidy looked killer in their sky-high heels, while Leighton Meester added a girly twist to a men's suit.

• This week, our favorite trends were all about texture! We fell for the spikes and studs, faux fur, heavy metal, velvet, and yarn necklaces.

• William Rast for Target released their entire lookbook, and we picked our three must-have ensembles. (Ahem, holiday wish list? Thanks.)

• We loved all the fun bras from the Victoria's Secret fashion show, and now we can scoop them up online! Sorry, supermodel bodies not included.

• Our favorite diva Ke$ha ditched glitter (gasp!) for the cover of Complex. Not that we want her to nix sparkle for good, but it was a pleasant surprise.

• Celebrities love wearing Reem Acra on the red carpet, and we love seeing it! Check out our favorite looks.

Try to stay warm this weekend, everyone! We've got some cool stuff coming up on Monday morning. See you then!
