What’s black and white and cute all over? The whole heap of starlets that came out for the end of Paris Fashion Week, that’s what. Lena Dunham, the sisters Fanning (Elle and Dakota), Dianna Agron and Hailee Steinfeld all popped up at some swanky shows in the City of Lights and—shocker—they each looked sleek beyond their years.
Dunham made her Fashion Week debut today (sitting in the front row of Miu Miu, NBD), and oh, what a debut it was! The Girls star looked chic in a plain black shift dress and a red leather coat, with chunky gold accessories and a black Prada clutch. She was joined in the front row of the row by Glee’s Dianna Agron, who wore a navy chiffon wrap dress and a black coat with a sparkly embellished collar. Also, that clutch. Agron was kind enough to tweet a sneak peek of Miu Miu’s new prints to her loyal followers, which apparently includes a ton of “meow meows.”
Between her insanely cute kitten, Meredith, and her face painting girls night, Taylor Swift is basically trying to win the prize for living the cutest life, and succeeding. The singer has been in the studio all week working on her next record, but she took some time off from writing to play dress up with her friends Roxy Olin (from The City!) and Claire Winter Kislinger. Our first documentation of a T.Swift lady-party was when the singer got fancy with Dianna Agron and friends in honor of Shirley MacLaine's birthday in flower crowns, white gloves and pretty dresses. Apparently there's no longer any need for an occasion, though, because her last two shindigs have been all just for kicks!
Taylor Swift and Dianna Agron have a floral dinner date in LA.
Along with their shiny blonde hair, crossover music and film careers, and obsession with all things girly, here's another thing Taylor Swift and Dianna Agron share: the pair loves to dress up. Case in point? Just a few weeks ago the friends celebrated Shirley MacLaine's birthday by donning old-fashioned outfits, hats, and even floral wreaths for a vintage-inspired shindig (all together now: awwww). Now they're at it again, this time sporting matching floral dresses for a dinner date at Dominic's Restaurant in West Hollywood. The girls took cues from the Spring/Summer runways in garden party-style frocks and subtle red lips for a fresh, natural look. Taylor opted for short sleeves, pairing her green and taupe printed dress with adorable tan leather sandals and topped off with a sleek straight half-up hairstyle. Dianna went with a sleeveless, boldly-patterned knee-length number that's perfectly complemented by her bright blue flats. The result is easy, cute, and proof that sometimes being matchy-matchy (with your friends, at least) isn't such a bad thing.
Fact: you don’t dress for the Met Gala to blend in. This year alone we spotted head-to-toe sequins, Barbie doll frocks, and even textured crocodile (ahem, Rihanna)...so needless to say, anyone who’s lucky enough to score an invite tries her absolute hardest to stand out from the rest of the fashion pack. But just like any big event, there were some major trends of the night- check out the three biggest below.

Camilla Belle reached glamazon status in her slinky beaded Ralph Lauren gown, but the real secret weapon to the actress’s ‘20s-inspired look? Her ultra-bold, wine-hued lipstick, which perfectly complemented her almond eyes and trademark full brows. She's not the only one who channeled Old Hollywood by pairing dark lips with shimmery metallic dresses; it's well-tread beauty territory, and we couldn't be happier. Lana Del Rey played up her music industry darling rep with her Altuzarra dress (and cape!), which strikingly offset her burgundy lipstick and swoop of black liner. But here's proof you don't have to retire your ruby red shade just yet: Jessica Alba looked to the brighter side with a cherry-tinted lipstick in her Michael Kors gown- just as dramatic, still just as gorgeous as the rest.
Prom doesn't have to be all about fancy schmancy updos that have you in a salon chair for hours and shellacked under a helmet of hairspray. Take a cue from some of the hottest starlettes gracing the red carpet this year like Dianna Agron, Rihanna, Sky Ferreira, and Katy Perry, and go for something a little more unexpected, modern, and fun. These ladies have rocked some of the hottest hairstyles of the year (the braided updo, the pin-up look, the old Hollywood waves, and the super sleek pony), and what's more, you can actually cop these looks yourself! Don't believe us? Fire up your styling wands and read on!
THE BRAIDED UPDO

The braid has been one of the biggest hair trends of the past year, and Dianna's look here for the 2012 Screen Actors' Guild Awards is extra special because it features the ultimate in plaits: the fishtail. In truth, Dianna's hairstyle looks more complicated than it actually is, so crack those knuckles, do a few dexterity warm-ups, and let's get started!

You know how sometimes boys express genuine concern about not knowing what the heck girls do when they're together. The mysteries of sleep-overs and girls' nights and group vacations and the like. There's always a joke about painting each other's toenails or pillow fights in your underwear or Sex and the City marathons and you and your girls always roll your eyes knowing full well that sometimes events as saccharine as these occur. Well, boys, take note because Dianna Agron and Taylor Swift are demystifying at least one night in girl world for you with their frou frou-dressed, white kid-gloved, flower-wreathed celebration of Shirley MacLaine's birthday.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards is the one awards show that's for actors by actors. It's like the fun younger sibling to the Golden Globes, as it honors acting achievement in both film and television and guarantees a fashion PARADE that signals that last triumphant push toward the Oscars. (We're in the final stretch, people!) Usually the SAG stahhs tend to mix it up and get a bit more playful on the ol' red carpet, and for this year's 2012 SAG Awards there was no shortage of vibrant color, mega texture, cutouts, plunging necklines, volumes of feathers, and even a 1970s studded pantsuit. So what are we waiting for? Let's get into this...

Dianna Agron opted for POW color with magenta Carolina Herrera. Always the go-to designer for ladylike red carpet gowns, we think this look is very awards-friendly yet eye-catching for both the deep neckline and intricately braided updo. It's also just straight-up pretty and makes us think about springtime, Valentine's Day, and the scent of prize-winning roses.

You expect to be awed by the red carpet fashion at awards shows—the sparkly dresses, the lavish jewelry, the gorgeous heels—but in a delightfully unexpected change of pace, the SAG Awards also featured a GRIP of approachable hairstyles on the step-and-repeat. Dianna Agron, Kaley Cuoco, Busy Philipps, and Renee Bargh all sported braided crowns of varied techniques tonight.
The Hollywood Foreign Press' Golden Globe Awards is one of our favorite red carpet events of the year. Sure, there's the Oscars, the Grammys, and of course, our own Movie Awards and VMAs, but there's a spirited mix of glamour and richesse when it's not only the hottest names in film but in television as well. Plus, there's the heightened pressure of being the award ceremony RIGHT before the Academy Awards. We're sure that picking the 2012 Golden Globe Winners wasn't an easy task, but cutting down a list of the night's best dressed to our top 10 was a VERY SERIOUS challenge, too. After some HEATED debate and 11 pounds of sugar EACH (thank you, Momofuku cake truffles and Sour Patch children) in the Official MTV Style Situation Room, *wipes beads of sweat from sodden brow* we did it. Here we GO.
DIANNA AGRON IN GILES DEACON

Dianna Agron in head-to-toe scarlet Giles Deacon may very well be our favorite look of the night. While wearing red on the red carpet is a risky move, this gown is genuinely a work of art and styled so expertly that Dianna more than pulls it off. She keeps her hair in a simple updo with bold red lips and minimizes jewelry to highlight the majestic laser-cut tiers and swans.
There's nothing that screams "HOLIDAY!" more than a pair of red and white swimsuits. Wait, what? Seriously, stay with me here. The holidays are all about festive attire in every imaginable incarnation—from ridiculous Christmas sweaters to wooly mufflers and capes—but in some parts of the world swimwear is a totally legit option for this colder holiday month. I'm talking places like Southern Cali or onstage with The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. Another place where these two examples seem to crisscross in candy cane-striped harmony? The set of Glee. Dianna Agron recently posted the cutest pic evah to her Twitter feed with the caption, "Today at the pool. You would think we were filming a classic movie with @DarrenCriss." Funny, that's exactly what I was thinking, only the classic movie I was seeing in my head had sparkly floating icicles, synchronized swimming snowmen, and Darren and Dianna singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside" to each other while dancing around an ice floe with gigantic candy canes. Seriously, though, what's going on in this adorable retro-inspired photo?
