Beyonce, Jay Z

Beyonce and Jay Z launched their highly anticipated On the Run Tour last night (June 25) in Miami, and it's already looking to be the jaw-dropping '03 '14 Bonnie & Clyde spectacular we've been dreaming of all our lives. Aside from nailing their staggering 42-song setlist, Mr. and Mrs. Carter dominate the stage in some of the steamiest performance outfits we've seen in a WHILE.

The power couple kicked things off with their famous duet "'03 Bonnie and Clyde." Jay Z wore an American flag tee, beanie, and shades, while Bey bared all in a fishnet ski mask and Atelier Versace bodysuit. We can only imagine how excited the audience felt to see Beyonce walk towards them, and then how EXTRA excited they felt when she walked away from them (ya know, seeing as the back of the bodysuit is essentially a leather thong...).

Last week, when Le1f performed "Wut" on Late Show With David Letterman and made his TV debut in Hood by Air and actual snow boots, we had no idea that a week later we'd be gifted a video for "Boom." IDK about you, but after watching this video all I wanna do is avoid diners and ride shotgun in a Jeep. It looks like my weekend plans have just been confirmed. We got the deets on the video's fashion, styled by Prince Franco, from the rapper himself, so let's not waste any more time—to the clothes!

A still from Le1f's 'Boom' video.

The video begins outside the diner, with Le1f in not one, but two jackets. Winter 2014 was the winter of two jackets #polarvortex. The first is a Diesel denim jacket, and the other a Pelle Pelle leather jacket. Underneath the two jackets is a black-and-white Y-3 tank that reads "ANTI."

Nicola + Gaga = BFF.
Photo: Getty Images

Rome wasn’t built in a day, but Jo Calderone was (*GASP*), according to Lady Gaga’s former stylist and “BFF forever,” Nicola Formichetti. In a recent interview with SHOWstudio, the long-time Haus of Gaga fashion director admitted that the creation of Gagaloo’s iconic male alter-ego was basically birthed on a whim. (IDK about y’all, but my whims only birth things like online shopping debt and buyer’s remorse.) “[One] morning … we were supposed to shoot for Vogue Japan, and we were like, ‘We need to do something crazy,’” Formichetti said. “And we transformed her into a male, her male character, Jo. And it was incredible … It was so spontaneous and very theater. It was amazing.” All in a day’s work! *flips hair*

Lady Gaga and Nicola Formichetti: BFFs forever.
Photo: Getty Images

Lady Gaga's style has gone through so many tweaks and transformations but has always remained equal parts iconic and arresting. Much of that is thanks to Mother Monster's innate inimitable steez, but a heavy-handed pour of that is also attributable to longtime stylist/Haus of Gaga Fashion Director Nicola Formichetti. Apparently, the transition from Creative Director of Mugler to his current standing as Artistic Director of Diesel isn't the only change in roles for Formichetti—he told WWD at a Uniqlo launch event in Tokyo that his involvement in Lady Gaga's signature headline-making style is far less frequent now.

Nicola Formichetti's work with Mugler, Lady Gaga, and others.

Whoa. Big news in fashion as Nicola Formichetti parts ways with Mugler after two years as creative designer. According to the hot fashion goss, the Gaga collaborator and Kim K stylist may be landing at Diesel, in either a creative director capacity or for a "major collaboration." In any case, we've covered Nico's tenure at Mugler over the seasons and while I'm a huge fan of his fluid, elongated silhouettes and exoskeletons-in-outerspace aesthetic, it's his continued dedication to social-media stalking the exact the same musicians we do (ahem, Azealia Banks and G-Dragon) that keeps him on our radar. Plus, the new music that's debuted at his shows as a result of these Internet unions, ranging from Lady Gaga's "Government Hooker" at A/W 2011, to his collaboration with aforementioned K-pop star, G-Dragon, for A/W 2013 mens, is also major.

dj lindsay luv

LA-based DJ-to-the-stars Lindsay Luv is a CA-UTIE, and I’m not just talking about her adorbs DJ name. I’m talking about drooling over her penchant for a good smokey eye, blood-red lips, and major '90s towering platforms. And not just any platforms, you guys—she OWNS a pair of Scary Spice’s signed platforms (above). (When I found out she’s BFFs with Mel B, I ugly cried a little and seriously stanned out a.k.a. collapsed, got on my knees begging whilst throwing wads of cash at Luv before revealing my deep dark secret [see: my 11-year-old “job” as the founder of the Spice Gazette circa ‘97 AOL A/S/L chatroom days, which folded after experiencing post-Ginger Spice depression and discovering Britney Spears.] *sigh*) Well, Luv unfortunately wouldn’t budge on those leopard-patterned beauties, so I settled for interviewing her for Favorite Things. Spoiler alert: You’re gonna luv it (heh), particularly those Chanel gold mesh fingerless gloves and her Lady Gaga signed album LP. #killmenow Time to spice up your closets, y’all.

Shailene Woodley in Drew Barrymore's 'V' behind-the-scenes video.
Photo: 'Vs. Magazine'

We already know that Drew Barrymore has major film skills that go WAY beyond acting in front of the camera (just watch her awesome directing debut Whip It if you need a refresher). And now, after working with Hollywood up-and-comers like Chloe Moretz in Best Coast's "Our Deal" video and shooting Victoria Justice for V Magazine, the Golden Globe-winning actress is turning the lens on yet another ingenue. Shailene Woodley is Drew's latest muse, channeling '70s film icons in a sultry new Vs. Magazine spread.

Kelly Clarkson Lucky Magazine

We could NOT have been happier when we discovered Lucky magazine was coming out with its first-ever music issue this August (I mean, fashion + music = haiiiii), but when we realized Kelly Clarkson was the cover girl, our minds basically exploded. No one truly encompasses that all-American look like Kelly does, so of course she went for a jeans and T-shirt ensemble for her cover debut. She wore a coated tweed Rachel Comey coral jacket with a burgundy scoop neck Michael Stars top, a brown Lucky belt, Diesel jeans and tons of beaded jewelry. This is an outfit Kelly would TOTALLY wear IRL, and we love that! She even said in her Lucky interview, "In Texas, we practically come out of the womb in jeans." Now THAT'S commitment. #denimdiapers

Gabe Saporta

Sometimes life just isn't fair you guys. :'( Those were the thoughts swirling in my broken brain/resulting in worrisome <3 beats when I was invited to spend a rainy afternoon at the dream-on-toast Gabe Saporta's East Village bachelor pad on his day off. When the crazily charismatic Cobra Starship frontman kindly offered me a glass of water, I obliged because, TBH, this gay needed a cool-down. *Gulp* The over 6-foot-tall piping hot glass of Smart water himself lives quite the jet-setting rockstar life, (DUH), as seen in the just-released video for Cobra Starship's latest electro banger, "1Nite", in which viewers get their groupie voyeuristic thrills on as the band brings their fist-pumping friendly act around the globe and makes the coolest home-video EVS, involving an underground Japanese rave replete with pelvic-thrusting dancers, no less.

Beau Mirchoff Hero

Yes, we did a double take too, but we can confirm that this IS, in fact, a photo of Beau Mirchoff a.k.a. Matty from Awkward. The sporty stud ditched his high school duds and spiky hair for some SERIOUSLY high-fashion threads in HERO magazine, and we cannot get enough! It seems the London-based mag has a thing for super cute male MTV stars because who could forget that oh-so-sultry Colton Haynes cover? Certainly not us—although Beau is equally adorable in his futuristic poolside ensemble. He sports a black sleeveless Yves Saint Laurent popped-collar jacket over a Dries Van Noten top and black Levi's. Those killer reflective kicks are by Katy Eary (we need these!), but that unparallelled smizing ability is ALL Beau.
