Child star, shmild star. At 23, Emma Watson is a grown Muggle woman—and The Edit’s got the pictures to prove it. Polished, poised and far, FAR from Hermione, the actress and eco-activist was recently tapped by Green Carpet Challenge creator, Livia Firth, to star in an editorial spread that supports ethical fashion AND looks super pretty. BTW, if you’re scratching your head about the phrase “ethical fashion,” it’s not as cray as it may seem. And it’s not all tie-dye and Tevas and giant threads of harsh hemp made into a basket-weave bodice. (Although, if something like that exists, I would very much like to see it.)

What is it about London Fashion Week that brings out the kookiest accessory designs? New York Fashion Week has its fair share of loony togs, sure, but only a few particularly avant garde designers subscribe to that. LFW takes the cake as far as the accessory game goes with a veritable metric ton of labels taking part — Louise Gray, Kokon To Zai (KTZ), House of Holland, Moschino Cheap and Chic, and Tom Ford to name a FEW. From sunglasses shaped like bikes to unicorn crossbody bags (plus, a toilet paper roll ring or two), there are SO many quirky accessories from the London Fall 2013 Fashion Week runways, and we've rounded them up for you to decipher which ones are good, which ones are bad, and which ones are, erm, questionable.

COOL SHADES

So what if the sun is shining for less hours in the day during fall and winter? The number one accessories trend from London Fashion Week this season was hands down statement sunglasses. Whether they're outright bananas like this bicycle pair by Fad or reimagined takes on the classic cat-eye (seen in red at KTZ, opal at Erdem, and metallic pink at House of Holland), this is definitely a trend that falls under the "GOOD" category for us. We only wish the neon yellow block-lettered "VOGUE" from Ziad Ghanem were an actual pair of shades.

Kristen Stewart On The Road sheer

Kristen Stewart at the 'On The Road' premiere last night in New York.
Photo: Getty Images

If there's anyone who truly understands the saying "if you got it, flaunt it," it's Kristen Stewart. Sure, this is the same girl who prefers jeans and Converse to pretty much anything, but when it's time to get glammed-up, well, she pulls out ALL the stops. And you don't have to look very far for proof! Just yesterday the actress turned out for the premiere of her new flick On The Road, wearing a hot-off-the-runway Erdem dress and showing that her love for sheer is still going strong. K.Stew even made some changes to the original version of the frock by abbreviating the hem to a thigh-grazing mini (it was originally knee-length) and adding neon Christian Louboutin heels. One thing she DID decide to keep this time around: the pale blue satin bralet, and some seriously short shorts.

Lily Cole, Karen Elson, Kate Moss, and Naomi Campbell at the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremonies.
Photo: Getty

Of the many assets that the Brits have shown off as the hosts of the 2012 London Olympics, style has certainly been one of the strongest. From their Stella McCartney designed uniforms to their killer idea to have an on-site nail artist for athletes, there's been a lot more to gush over in these summer games than just the gymnasts' scrunchies. It's been a stylish Olympics all around, from Michael Jackson swimsuits to the aforementioned nail art, but the closing ceremony is helping us realize fashion dreams we never even knew we had. Gilded in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Roksanda Illincic, Victoria Beckham, Jonathan Saunders, Erdem, Christopher Kane, and Vivienne Westwood, a coterie of supermodels "stormed," as much of the international press is saying, the enormous, fire-lit runway at the closing ceremony, a fearsome representation of British beauty that is sure to make the Queen proud. Models including original supermodel Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Georgia May Jagger, Jourdan Dunn, Lily Cole, and Stella Tennant were like human gold medals in metallics, feathers, and beads of all kinds. The veritable model army stomped down the runway to David Bowie's "Fashion," an appropriate musical choice if we've ever heard one.

The 2011 Oscars red carpet was just the beginning. Nominees plus dozens of other celebs slipped into their cutest cocktail dresses for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party, one of the most coveted post-Academy Awards tickets in Hollywood.

SHOWSTOPPERS: A memo must have gone out! There was a TON of crimson at the Oscars, and the scene was much the same at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Zoe Saldana wore a Prabal Gurung fuchsia and red frock, Selena Gomez slipped into a body-lengthening Dolce & Gabbana gown, Anna Kendrick wore a ruffled scarlet Notte by Marchesa dress, and Anna Paquin rocked a ballet-inspired Monique Lhuillier dress.

THRILL OF THE LACE: Nothing says glamour like a little lace. Mia Wasikowska (in Stella McCartney), Zooey Deschanel (in Valentino), Ginnifer Goodwin (in Erdem), and Jena Malone (in a sleeveless, tummy-"showing" cocktail dress) chose to drive the point home in A LOT of the feminine fabric.

AU NATUREL: You'd think that wearing a dress that matches your skin tone would completely wash you out and make you look like a blob of, well, beige. But it was quite the opposite for Jessica Biel (in a strappy Versace gown), Gwyneth Paltrow (in the same Michael Kors gown she performed in at the Oscars), Taylor Swift (in a Zuhair Murad minidress), and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (in a Valentino Haute Couture dress). These stars glowed!

SINGING THE BLUES: Our new fashion theory is that ANYONE can dazzle in a blue hue. Enter: Rosario Dawson in a high-slit Diane von Furstenberg dress, Lea Michele in a long-sleeve sparkling Roberto Cavalli gown, and Dianna Agron in an ankle-length, flowing frock by J. Mendel.

TAKE THE PLUNGE: One thing's for sure—a lot of double-sided tape was used last night to keep the deep necklines of Claire Danes' cream Calvin Klein dress, Emma Roberts' sparkling Jenny Packham creation, and Gabrielle Union's stunning Diane von Furstenberg purple dress in place.

CHIC FRILLS: You have to be careful with ruffles, as there's a fine line between classy and trashy, but these ladies pull them off. Rashida Jones (in Valentino), Selita Ebanks (in red and beige one-shoulder dress), Amanda Seyfried (in Valentino), and Cameron Diaz (in Carolina Herrera), looked uber-ladylike in their perfectly frilly frocks.

PRINTS CHARMING:We know that trends come in threes (at least). But we were so mesmerized by Emma Stone's short-sleeved Chanel Haute Couture dress and Lourdes Leon's AllSaints Aztec minidress that we couldn't help but mentioning. You like, right?

Alexa Chung attends the Erdem London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2011 show at the University of Westminster on Feb. 21, 2011, in London.
Photo: Samir Hussein/Getty Images

Wearing big chunks of houndstooth in the form of a coat or dress is so 2009 (we're just being honest, here). But, rocking the black and white pattern in small doses is all kinds of chic. For example, Alexa Chung looked crazy-cool sporting the retro '80s style in the form of sunglasses to Erdem's London Fashion Week show at the University of Westminster on Feb. 21. Want to try the look for yourself? Slip these on for size...

SQUARE: No more squinting! These houndstooth-patterned Spring Hinge Wayfarer sunglasses ($7.99, GogglesAndGlasses.com) provide 100 percent UV protection.

ROUND: Alexa wore these funky Ralph Lauren Collection Keyhole Printed Sunglasses in Houndstooth ($250, RalphLauren.com) to the Erdem fashion show in London.

OVAL: These oversize sunglasses with houndstooth frames ($5, BuckleCity.com) would make Jackie O proud.

Alexa Chung in Net-A-Porter Magazine, Michelle Williams at the "Blue Valentine" premiere in London on Oct. 15, 2010.
Photo: Net-A-Porter/WireImage

Alexa Chung and Michelle Williams rocked the same gorgeous red lace Erdem dress recently. The Brit beauty wore the shift—which has three-quarter length sleeves and a pretty scoop neckline—on the cover of Net-A-Porter magazine this month, with minimal makeup and accessories. Meanwhile, Michelle Williams chose the dress for the London premiere of Blue Valentine, pairing it with printed pumps and an elegant black clutch. While both ladies looked lovely in the sophisticated shift, we think Alexa won this style matchup. We love how relaxed and effortless she looks with the soft makeup and messy hair (even if she had help from a wind machine). But what do you think?

Carey Mulligan at the 7th Annual Dubai International Film Festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Dec. 13, Michelle Williams with Kate Winslet at a "Blue Valentine" Screening in New York on Nov. 30.
Photo: Getty Images

When actress Carey Mulligan showed up at the Dubai International Film Festival last night to honor fellow actor Colin Firth for his Variety International Star of the Year award, we couldn't help but do a double take. She looked SO much like another actress, Michelle Williams! And the comparisons go far beyond their shared platinum pixie cuts. Carey's black shift dress bore an uncanny resemblance to a Balenciaga frock Michelle wore last month at a screening of her new movie Blue Valentine. Not to mention, the "twins" even wore similar strappy shoes with said dress! Which got us to thinking...are these stylish stars sharing tips? Because this is not the first time we've noticed their similar taste in red carpet attire. Take a look...

LADIES IN RED

Carey Mulligan on Dec. 5, Michelle Williams on Oct. 15.

Both ladies chose the same hot red hue for red carpet appearances this fall season. Carey wore a bright red Prabal Gurung halter dress to the British Independent Film Awards in London on Dec. 5, while Michelle chose the same color for her lacy Erdem dress at the Blue Valentine Premiere in London two months earlier on Oct. 15.

STYLISH IN SILVER

Carey Mulligan in Los Angeles on Nov. 4, Michelle Williams in New York on Dec. 7.
Photo: Getty Images

Did Michelle Williams take inspiration from Carey Mulligan's silver beaded top and black skirt by Preen from Nov. 4 when she chose her silver, white, and black Azzaro mini for the New York premiere of Blue Valentine on Dec. 7? It sure does look that way!

BEIGE BOWS

Carey Mulligan on Sept. 8, Michelle Williams on Sept. 5.
Photo: WireImage

Both Carey and Michelle recently displayed their affection for beige and bows. Carey Mulligan wore a silk Marc Jacobs dress with a crystal bow front to a press conference for her film Never Let Me Go in Beverly Hills on Sept. 8, while days earlier on Sept. 5, Michelle opted for a similar look in a Jason Wu gown for the Meek's Cutoff premiere at the Venice International Film Festival.

PERFECT POCKETS

Carey Mulligan on May 3, Michelle Williams on May 18.
Photo: WireImage

Carey and Michelle both picked pockets and similar fabrics for their high-necked frocks in May 2010. Carey wore a purple lace Miu Miu dress to the Costume Institute Gala Benefit in New York on May 3, while Michelle Williams wore a Suno mini to a Blue Valentine photocall at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18.

SPARKLY EMBELLISHMENTS

Carey Mulligan on March. 5, Michelle Williams on May 20.
Photo: WireImage

Both girls glittered with embellishments earlier this year. Carey Mulligan wore a studded Christopher Kane dress to the Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles on March 5, and a few months later on May 20, Michelle appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in this sequined Sonia Rykiel mini.

+ Sure, they look alike, but whose style do you prefer—Carey Mulligan or Michelle Williams?

Lea Michele in Erdem on Nov. 8, Sept. 7, and May 17.
All photos: Getty Images/WireImage

Lea Michele has a new favorite designer! The Glee star wore British label Erdem's colorful, patterned pieces for three red carpet appearances. Most recently, she wore a long-sleeved, colorful Erdem dress to a TV Guide magazine party in Hollywood on Monday. Erdem is designed by 30-year-old Erdem Moralioglu, who is one of Britain's hottest young talents. Earlier this year, the London-based designer received the British Fashion Council/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, an award established to help rising designers build their businesses. With the support of Lea Michele and a host of other celebrities, including Sienna Miller, Keira Knightley, and Ashley Olsen, Erdem is well on his way. Get a closer look at Lea Michele in Erdem after the jump.
