The sounds from SXSW, Coachella, and Pitchfork might still be ringing in our ears, but hold up! Festival season isn't over quite yet. There’s still Lollapalooza, the three-day music extravaganza happening this weekend in Chicago. With too many bands to keep track of (including headliners like M83, The Black Keys, Jack White, and Florence and the Machine), the event is MASSIVE--from the ridiculously awesome lineup to the mile-long trek from one end of the grounds to the other. Luckily, this means there's ample opportunity to check out festival street style, so we're spending the weekend pounding the pavement (er, grass) to find some of the coolest-dressed people in Grant Park.
On day one, our first stop was backstage, where we peeped performers like Metric's Emily Haines, who told us she she loves vintage sunglasses, Die Antwoord, and Neon Indian. We also snagged sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, of the Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit, to talk festival must-haves fresh off their Lolla performance. "We always take the same things on the road with us," Johanna told us. "One pair of comfortable shoes, one pair of really nice shoes that we only wear onstage, earplugs, and dry shampoo! Dry shampoo is so important."
