While at the Met Galas of the past attendees tended to bring designers as their dates, this year a number of IRL couples hit the carpet together. Between Beyonce and Jay Z pretending to get engaged to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian serving some real old school glamour vibes, this year's Met Gala was full of stylish couples who deserve our attention. Let's give it to them!

Beyonce, Jay Z, Met Gala 2014

Beyonce and Jay Z matched in Givenchy–she in a plunging sheer gown, he in a black-and-white tux. Bey accessorized with a sheer veil and dark lipstick, while Jay accessorized with a sparkly ring. JK, he merely picked it up for Bey when she dropped it. What a gentleman.

Gisele and Daft Punk for 'The Wall Street Journal' Magazine.
Photo: Wall Street Journal/Terry Richardson

Aww SNAP! Karlie, take your earrings off and put your dukes up, girl. Gisele just popped up on the cover of the Wall Street Journal magazine with BOTH of your men. Oh, you didn’t know Karlie Kloss was in a thruple with Daft Punk? JK, she’s not. But she did appear in an oddly similar editorial spread with the helmet-clad electronic duo for Vogue in July. Those two are gettin’ lucky, indeed.

For the November cover of the Wall Street Journal magazine (which was shot by Terry Richardson), Daft Punk got handsy with Gisele Bündchen, wearing what looks to be the ~exact~ same helmets they wore in Vogue. Hmm. *strokes imaginary beard* But hey, at least they took their suit game in a totally different direction with some SUPER shiny sequined blazers and slim-line tuxedo pants. Oh, wait. Turns out that while their suits may appear to be from another planet entirely, Saint Laurent actually dressed Daft Punk for *both* editorial spreads. WHATEVER. Maybe they're just particular! Besides, they’re musicians, not models!

Gisele strikes a power pose on her WSJ cover in a navy, plunging, semi-sheer Atelier Versace jumpsuit and surprisingly, doesn't seem to have a problem with how close that one gold guy's hand is to her, um, ladyplace. (*Insert another "Get Lucky" joke here.*)

Gisele Bündchen, Shalom Harlow, and Carmen Kass walk in the Alexander Wang Fall 2012 New York Fashion Week show.
Photo: Getty Images

Alexander Wang is one of the fashion community's most celebrated young designers of late. At just 28 years old, he's already won a slew of awards including the 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award and has grown his collection to being featured in over 200 stores. Fashion heavyweights like Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld are consistently vying for a spot in his front row at New York Fashion Week, and it's not hard to see why. Along with boundary-pushing fashions and a gift with leather and metal, Wang is a showman. And never was that more evident than at today's Fall 2012 runway presentation.

Jennifer Lopez on the set of her 'I'm Into You' video shoot.
Photo: Jennifer Lopez's Twitter

American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez tweeted photos from her "I'm Into You" music video shoot, wherein she donned a Lanvin python-print silk halter gown with a matching head scarf and wrissssssssssssssssssssssstfuls of chunky Lanvin bangles. {InStyle}

• In a VERY rare act of cavalier bananasness, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour wore real-life J. Brand skinny jeans while watching a tennis match at the Sony Ericsson Open. The new look didn't last long, though, and order was restored to the universe when the fashion plate quickly changed into a Prada skirt later in the day. {Fab Sugar}

The Outnet, an online fashion outlet, is celebrating its second anniversary with a $2 birthday sale. What does that mean?! It means that you can scoop up ridiculously priced designer threads (i.e. a $1,795 Proenza Schouler leather jacket) for 2 bucks. For real-for real. {Glamour}

• Hottie actor Cam Gigandet recently went Chris Brown (who went Sisqo [lolololololol at a Sisqo reference]) by bleaching his 'do platinum blond. Fingers crossed that the new hair hue is for a role because we're not feelin' it. {Just Jared}

Aerin Lauder, heiress and SVP to the Estee Lauder beauty empire, will launch her own fashion company (with help from NBC's Jeff Zucker and Vogue's Anna Wintour). Watch out Tory Burch. Actually, watch out EVERY FASHION COMPANY EVER. Damn. #hardbody {She Finds}

• PR guru/reality show reg Kelly Cutrone is releasing her second book, a self-help tome called Normal Gets You Nowhere on May 3. Sign us up. Kelly had us at the title. {Styleite}

• According to the fella who makes the Victoria's Secret's Angel wings, Heidi Klum is a sweet saint to work with, while Gisele Bündchen is "always screaming." Who knew? [raises hand quietly] {Huffington Post}

• Despite the fact that American Apparel is facing Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the company is launching a new denim line. In denial or smart move? You be the judge. {Fashionista}

• The same company that made those tinsel extensions that Beyoncé wore to the Grammys last year, has now set their sights on plumage. Hair Flairs now offers an at-home feather extension kit. Feather Party. {Allure}

• We thought that a fragrance made to smell like human poo was gross enough. Then we saw the fragrance's ad. GROSSEST. {Fashionista}

• More fashion designers. More legal woes. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (Dolce & Gabbana) have been accused of tax fraud for failing to pay taxes on more than $1 billion in income, and will soon stand trial...and could face jail time. We're deeply upset. And intensely preoccupied with what they'll wear to court. {The Cut}

• Check out Gisele Bündchen's full Vogue Paris spread. It's bedraggled (seriously) in all of the right ways. {Styleite}

• DIY-ers, for goodness sakes, don't subject your man friend to modeling EVERYTHING you make (especially homemade hats!). Some things are better left, ummm, sooo much less sadface. {Refinery 29}

• As witnessed by Zara's new collection, hot pants—orange, yellow, sky blue, oh my!—are in for spring. {Nitrolicious}

• We never thought we'd be saying this, but it's time to revisit flared denim. Apparently, it's taking the crown back from skinny jeans. {Fashion Indie}
