Prints reigned supreme at the Los Angeles premiere of Country Strong last night. Leighton Meester, who stars in the film, and Minka Kelly (twins?) both chose short frocks, while Kristin Cavallari picked a floor-length number. But not to be outshined was Gwyneth Paltrow's patternless winter white gown with a shocking body-length slit.

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester's floral Christian Dior dress, flirty Pierre Hardy wedges and slick-looking scarlet lips reminded us of a spring day, which is not a bad thing considering it's the dead of winter and we're FREEZING.

Kritin Cavallari's silk Tibi dress with a bustier bodice and a billowy, watercolor-printed skirt looked so soft and warm with her blonde locks.

Not all high notes at the 44th Annual Country Music Awards held in Nashville last night happened during the ceremony. Some of the best moments happened on the red carpet. The fashion standouts ranged from crooners like LeAnn Rimes to country music-loving actresses like Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester. Here are the five best looks of the night.

BEST DRESSED: CARRIE UNDERWOOD
Being an awards show host is the best job. Carrrie Underwood, who cohosted with country music singer Brad Paisley, wore seven different outfits during the ceremony (lucky her!). But our favorite remains her red carpet dress — a Talbot Runhof strapless, multi-tiered gown made with layers of gunmetal gray tulle.

BEST TRAIN: LEIGHTON MEESTER
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester shined in a fun and flirty patterned dress by Emilio Pucci. We love that her gown and train didn't cover up her fierce platform sandals.

BEST ACCESSORIES: LEANN RIMES
LeAnn Rhimes, who presented the nights first award to Lady Antebellum, was one of the only stars who dared to go short in a cute Ports 1961 dress, which she paired with peep-toe booties, a wallet-size silver clutch, and oxidized sterling silver and pave diamond stud earrings and snake ring by Irit Design.

BEST USE OF OMBRÉ: GWYNETH PALTROW
Gwyneth Paltrow's live singing debut of 'Country Strong' was just as remarkable as her red carpet appearance, where she wore Atelier Versace beaded ombré, one-shoulder cutout gown with a slit-to-there. What can't this woman do?

BEST BLING: KELLIE PICKLER
American Idol alum Kellie Pickler provided some of the night's biggest sparkle in a Pamella Roland gold paillette plunging V-neck cap sleeve gown.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Blake Lively are both in Europe right now, and it looks like they packed the same wardrobe for their trips abroad. Blake, 22, is filming Gossip Girl in Paris this week — the same week as the Paris haute couture fashion shows — and showed up to the Ritz Hotel yesterday wearing black shorts, a white button-down, and sequin jacket, which she accessorized with a small black clutch and lace-up platform booties. Over in London, 37-year-old Gwyneth wore a very similar top and bottom to the opening of photographer Mario Testino's Kate Who? exhibit last night, only with different accessories — black pointed-toe pumps and a gray clutch.

+ Who wore black and white better — Blake or Gwyneth?
