In this day and age, we're used to our BFFs—Rihanna, Beyonce, etc.—sharing their new looks with us on social media. So imagine our COMPLETE shock last night when, Demi Lovato, another member of our
tight-knit crew, stepped out to perform on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno with blue hair. Oh, hey, Demi, ever hear of Instagram? You're supposed to give us a preview on that bad boy before we see your new 'do IRL, that way, we can mentally prepare and say to our friends, "Did you see Demi Lovato's hair? Oh, you didn't see pics? Guess you guys aren't frandz like we are. It's blue now."
Vanessa Hudgens debuts her new 'do on Instagram.

Aww yeahhhh, Vanessa Hudgens just turned up the ombre hair game by 1000%. The dark on top, light on bottom look has been around for a while and was due for a change, and Vanessa is just the lady to provide that ~inspiration~. V. Hudg, a proud member of the Frequently Changing Hair Club™, debuted her new look on Instagram and only one word comes to mind: autumnal. That word could be stuck in our brains because her caption tells us it's her "autumn hair" (my autumn hair is the same as my winter, spring, and summer hair!), OR it could be because the blend of red, yellow, and brown really evokes a feeling of fall foliage. I know exactly what having nature-inspired hair is like: mine often feels and looks like a nest.
Ke$ha and multi-colred strands.

Ooo LAWD. It looks like Ke$ha has summoned the sacred essence of Rainbow Brite for her new ‘do, y’all. (CAN I GET A WITNESS?) And TBH, I ain’t mad atcha, girl. I ain’t mad atcha. Not one bit. Would it work for me? Newp. Reason #1: My hair is RULL dark. Reason #2: ROYGBIV is a tough color-combo to match clothes to and I cannot be havin’ my hair throwin’ off my steez. No thx. I’ve spent way too much money binge-shopping online to be forced to ignore multi-colored prints and patterns for fear of the dreaded clash. But I digress.
She wants to be where the people are.

She may be a bonafide adult at the age of 27, but whenever I see her sweet lil' face, I just want to pinch her rosy cheeks and call her Cutie Rae Jepsen. Of course, I'm talking about CARLY Rae Jepsen, erstwhile singer of THE song of Summer '12, "Call Me Maybe." Jepsen’s been a brunette since / we first met her / and this is crazy / but now she’s gone / bright ginger, baby! And while she's been sporting the copper shade since June, it was Disney, not the (now-fading *whimper*) summer sunshine that moved her to lighten up.
Sheeeeee's BACK! Lady Gaga has been noticeably, achingly absent from the mass pop culture ethos for months (due to a painful case of synovitis which caused her to cancel remaining dates on her tour). Not entirely, of course. I mean, when someone says, "BRB," and wheels away in a 24-Karat gold wheelchair, you just KNOW she'll be back. And here she is, flaunting asymmetrical BLACK hair. Granted, we've seen her crop up here and there—peeking in at the Versus Versace x J.W. Anderson launch party, rallying for LGBT rights, and y'know, traipsing around Manhattan in just a bra—but multiple Gaga steelo updates in just the last 24 hours? THIS is what we've been missing.

BRB guys. We're just STILL having a heart attack (get it?) from Demi Lovato gracing our offices with her radiant presence yesterday. The golden-throated pop star stopped by our Times Square headquarters less than 24 hours ago to chat LIVE with MTV News' Christina Garibaldi and a few lucky Lovatics in celebration of the official release of her brand new album DEMI. Along with talking about her eponymously titled record, Miss Lovato played a few DEMI themed games, including one with a similar idea as Pictionary that went hilariously awry. Apparently, our girl D, like us, has a pretty lewd sense of humor, but it's her ability to balance that with looking totally poised and professional that makes us love her so much.
Miley Cyrus for "V" Magazine.

We may STILL be reeling off of Miley Cyrus' TWO ELLE UK covers, but the platinum pixie-headed girl isn't stopping there on her quest to plaster her mug all over your newsstands. Hot on the heels of the ELLE UK release, V Magazine has revealed Billy Ray's little girl as their Summer 2013 cover girl. Not once, not even twice, but THREE. TIMES. *wipes sweat from upper lip* PHEW!
It's been a big 24 hours for Azealia Banks. Our Harlem girl is in Paris right now, making her international Fashion Week rounds, sitting front row at fash-buddy Nicola Formichetti's Mugler Paris Fashion Week show, shooting the music video for "Esta Noche" (a track that closed the aforementioned Mugler show, BTW), AND debuting her new emerald and sapphire hair which she has dubbed "EARTHWEAVE." *pauses to catch breath and wipe sweat from upper lip* PHEW! *flicks disgusting sweat beads away* And judging from her heavily capitalized and exuberantly punctuated tweets, she's not slowing down aaaaany time soon.
Katy Perry on the cover of "L'Officiel" magazine.

Has Katy Perry officially (or *achem* L'Officiel-ly *ba dum TSH*) rounded out the hair rainbow yet? The orange hair she's sporting for the cover (and inside spread!) of L'Officiel magazine has to put her pretty close, right? Throughout the course of the last 365 days, we've seen Katy Perry go from pink to a brief flirtation with blonde only to go back to pink then to BLUE then purple and now she's back to trusty old black. BUT nowhere in that sequence of hair colors did we see Katy rock this particular shade of naranja. And the texture of her hair looks kinda natural, as in maybe not a wig! What gives?
Kat Graham debuts new curly blonde hair.

The girl known for her super-high, super-straight ponytail has traded in her sleek onyx locks. Kat Graham hit the red carpet arrivals of Wango Tango this weekend sporting a brand new 'do. The "Put Your Graffiti On Me" singer has ditched her dark hair in favor of a honey blonde (and what looks like ombre) dye-job. While this new, front-falling ponytail is equally gravity-defying, she's taken a cue from the perm-tastic late '80s and added some mega-volume curls.
