Rachel Korine, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Ashley Benson on the set of "Spring Breakers" in Florida.
Photo: Ashley Benson's Instagram

OK, ready to have your mind blown? Selena Gomez, Pretty Little Liar Ashley Benson, and Vanessa Hudgens are in a movie together called Spring Breakers that is currently shooting in Florida. (WE KNOW.) Oh, yes, and James Franco and Glee's Heather Morris are in it, too. Also, just to up the craymazing WOW factor, the film is written and directed by Harmony Korine, who pretty much changed the face of teen flicks with his hard-core '90s indie film Kids. There are so many exclamation points we're mentally inserting right here, but what we must discuss right now is this seemingly '90s on-set style. You guys, we spy denim overalls, mega ombre pink hair, and a MUST HAVE Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt. Also, accessories from Cracker Barrel.

Heather Morris visits "The Late Show with David Letterman" in New York.
Photo: Splash News

Heather Morris was a full-on accessory CHAMPION while visiting The Late Show with David Letterman this week. Although she wore a subdued black blouse and brown skirt for the actual show, we were delighted by the accessory-laden post-show ensemble she debuted on the streets of NYC. Yes, all it takes is a delightful Japanese animal hat and we're SMITTEN. You see, we have a thang for kicky animal chapeaus (they topped our Best Accessories of 2011 list) as well as the lovely ladies who wear them (hi, Kreayshawn). But this particular plushie noggin warmer is special because it's KORILAKKUMA. For the uninitiated, KORILAKKUMA is a little white bear who likes strawberries, apples, her radio-controlled duck, and listening to really loud music. Could Glee's Heather Morris be trying to tell us something with the choice of this hat—namely that she has a penchant for forest berries and deafening volumes—or is she just really into cute Japanese Cosplay characters?

Heather Morris

It's because of Heather Morris (well, her character, Brittany S. Pierce on Glee) that "unicorns" have reentered the vernacular. If you're a Gleek, you'll be familiar with the terminology (or if you're into hair, you'll *fist pump* in adulation of the recent hair horn trend). UNICORNS are all about being magical and knowing it, kind of like Heather on the November cover of Seventeen magazine. Her sunny smile, flawless skin, and color party outfit are infectious, and how UH-MAZE does she look striking that dancer pose, too? (Egads, we need to hit the GYM.) Sporting newly dyed hair tips, a gagillion neon bracelets, and a touch of pink makeup, we'd say Heather's confident glow is all about harnessing her inner-UNI. Either that, or she's just jazzed about getting to wear those Jeremy Scott for Adidas panda sneaks we're still dreaming about every night.

Like most of the fash-hungry population, we here at MTV Style just LOVE ourselves a good awards show. The sparkle of every sequin and bead, the sheen of every satin and silk—we want it all. From the red carpet to the stage to the pretaped vignettes, the starlets of tonight's 2011 Emmy Awards pulled out all the stops, and so compelled were we by the parade of scintillating beauties that we HAD TO note our top 10 dresses from the night.

Lea Michele stunned on the red carpet in a bright red floor-length Marchesa gown. She kept things simple with natural makeup and glossy, straight hair, left down. All the better to showcase the drama of the dress's ruffled shoulder embellishments and sweeping open back.

What started as an experiment in TV formatting (Musicals?! Gay teenagers? Jane Lynch!!!?) has turned into a worldwide phenomenon and a certain guarantee that the McKinley High Gleeks aren't falling off our radar anytime soon. Lea Michele, with her powerhouse voice and dark-eyed beauty, is not only a star onstage, but she's certainly earning her sartorial stripes on the red carpet. Instead of tapping into the traditional Hollywood steeze she has made her calling card, for the Glee 3D Premiere, Lea hiked up her hemline and opted for a fancy mini Marchesa tube-dress, with plenty of details and bunches of chiffon to add volume. It appears that Lea wasn't the only one who kicked her skirt-length up a notch. Heather Morris (whose spot-on Ke$ha impression still echoes every time we look at her) balanced her super-short skirt (and CRAMAZING legs) with a long-sleeve, plum-colored Tibi dress. In order to anchor her silk shift, the dress had heavy metal shoulder details. Jury is still out on the heels, which take center stage thanks to her above-the-knee dress, but look a little utilitarian underneath her simple dress. Naya Rivera, who plays troublemaker Santana, ditches her bad girl persona but keeps the sex appeal in a monotone royal purple Rue du Mail dress and the all-the-rage Walter Steiger curved pumps. Though her dress is practically micro, we wish she woulda ditched her is STILL August, after all. But the understated, single-color details and her sleek hair and makeup make her look together and composed.

Just when you thought Sex and the City was getting a little too middle-aged for the Jimmy Choo-clad crowd, author Candace Bushnell has come out with “Summer And The City,” a young adult novel based on the titular characters’ first interactions with the city, following a young, senior-year Carrie in the Big Apple. Not only do we love YA novels (especially YA novels about the city in which we live), we love seeing the girls who practically defined ‘90s NYC as unsure, post-teen city dwellers who teeter around town on un-sensible shoes much like the young authors at MTV Style. (There are four of us, TOO…no one calls Miranda, though in reality it would most likely be me. Womp-womp.)

In speaking about her novel, Bushnell says she’d like to see it on the screen. Which means, of course, today's Bright Young Things not only need to embody ICONS, but also the history of being some of the most stylish women (fictional and not) of all time. But can the gals today cut it? The chic lit turned YA novel(ista) thinks so, since she told The Daily Caller about her secret casting visions—not for heroine Carrie, but the young (and presumably pristine) Charlotte. “I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking ’she’d make a really good young Charlotte.” Whoa. Candy, you are so right on; Selena's clean-cut charm practically oozes a slightly less WASP-y Charlotte. (Demure, well-heeled, but exceptionally assembled. Charlotte would applaud young Selena.) To make Hollywood’s job easier as they scrape together a script, we’ve picked the gals who've got the look down pat.

Jared Leto performing in Tampa on Oct. 15.

• Yes, it's true: 30 Seconds to Mars' frontman Jared Leto and Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" backup dancers wore the SAME Hot Topic bondage pants. Also, like Jared—one of Brit's dancers even sported blue hair! Is someone copping Jared's style or is it just one big coinkydink?

Nicki Minaj proves it's OK to be different (or straight up "weird" as she puts it!) in this month's BlackBook magazine. We're loving her kooky style and wouldn't settle for anything less! Get it, girl.

• Hillzie Lauren Conrad debuted her new clothing line Paper Crown, and we've got every single look! Which outfit are you obsessing over?

• MTV debuted a new Supervideo featuring sultry '60s bombshell Emma Roberts and cutie Dave Franco's roller-coaster relationship set to the Cults' song "Go Outside!" Basically it's three minutes of pure eye candy.

• What were those hot hustlers up to this week? Elijah Wood showed off his vintage flair; Alexander Skarsgård got checked out; Kanye West, Cee Lo Green, and Lenny Kravitz took to the NBA All-Star stage in stylish ensembles; and Matthew Bomer confirmed that he is really, really hot.

• It's a race to greatness in this week's episode of Gossip Girl! Blair's up to her usual naughty antics while Serena is put in quite the pickle. But regardless of all their Upper East Side problems, their amazing wardrobe still manages to steal the show.

The City's Olivia Palermo proves that she can SERIOUSLY layer! From furs to knits, she leaves nothing in her closet behind (and we love her for it!).

• Um, is it just us or did Heather Morris completely ACE acting/looking/singing/talking like Ke$ha on this week's Glee? Yeah, we knew we weren't the only ones who thought so!

• The Jersey Shore cast's style continues to amaze us! From JWOWW's personalized hoodie to Snooki's leopard obsession, we can't get enough of their over-the-top duds.

• Wanna dress like a celeb? Well, now you can! Get Alexa Chung's houndstooth sunglasses, Katy Perry's polka dot dress, and Selena Gomez's budget-friendly frock.

• Our girl Abigail Breslin is all grown up! But don't get too sad about it—we LOVE her ladylike style.

• Did you know that Oscar-nominee Hailee Steinfeld used to model for Guess? Yep, neither did we! Check out this cutie's fall campaign.

• Goodbye black! Spring trends are finally in full force. This week we loved bright blue pumps and colorful leather jackets.

It's Oscar weekend, friends! Check back with MTV Style on Sunday night for all the hottest red carpet looks.

Are we the only ones who were surprised by the uncanny resemblance actress/dancer Heather Morris had to Ke$ha during last night’s episode of Glee? The cast performed their version of the glitter/garbage bag-loving pop star's song "TiK ToK," while Heather channeled Ke$ha circa "We R Who We R" video. The liner-smudged face, the feathers and bandannas, the short shorts, the messy blonde strands...are we sure these two aren't related? Distant cousins? Something? Maybe we shouldn't be too shocked. Heather DID nail Britney Spears' mannerisms in an episode back in September. Talk about method acting; this girl is good.

Like Ke$ha, Heather's face glistened (glitter, maybe?), while her lips looked icy courtesy of a swipe of silvery-blue lipstick.

Here, Heather rocked an American Flag tee like Ke$ha's. But the similarities don't end there. The actress also wore super-cropped shorts, feathers and bandanna bracelets, and messy hair.

• We totally thought there was already a NARS brick-and-mortar store someplace in the world. We were wrong. But, the makeup brand will soon be opening a stand-alone boutique in New York City's West Village. {Fashionista}

Helmut Lang is prepping for its first collection of bags since 2006. We already (heart) the too-cute "Syn" a half-clutch/half-shoulder bag creation. {T magazine}

Kate Middleton's wedding ensemble has been hogging all of the attention (who will she wear? short or long? veil or no veil?), but it turns out that Prince William's wedding ensemble is just as hush-hush. {Styleite}

Even though the SAGs are sort of like a scaled-down version of the Golden Globes, the red carpet at last night's awards show was nonetheless impressive. In fact, it was near impossible to find any WTF looks (a rarity when it comes to red carpet ensembles). So which stars sizzled? These are our picks...

MILA KUNIS: Black Swan's Mila Kunis looked sexy-cool with her beachy hair and belted orange-and-red Alexander McQueen dress.

JANUARY JONES: The constant fashionista, Mad Men star January Jones gave her gold lace Carolina Herrera gown some dramatic flair by sweeping her hair up into a super-smooth chignon.

HEATHER MORRIS: If it seems like Heather Morris is always on our best-dressed lists, it's probably because she is! For the SAGs, the Glee girl teamed a stunning Romona Keveza peach gown with sleek strands.

JULIA STILES: And you thought ombre was just for hair! Julia Stiles wore a navy-to-white strapless Monique Lhuillier gown with big, vintage-y earrings and perfectly wavy hair.

AMBER RILEY: Actress/singer Amber Riley of Glee looked AMAZING in a fitted black Anne Barge gown with a ruched bodice and mermaid skirt. We love the dress, but her pink pout is our fave!
