We're already well aware that Jared Leto was trying to make leggings a thing (see: our boy wearing spandex on Instagram with the hashtag "realmenwearleggings"), but today he turned heads when he arrived at Chanel's Paris Haute Couture show in skintight gold tweed trousers paired with an inside-out graphic tee, chambray shirt, beaded necklace, and his signature ombré strands. There was something about his pants-tucked-into-cowboy-boots ensemble that made us want to investigate it a bit further, and as it turns out, he was actually pulling a look straight from Chanel's Paris-Dallas Métiers d'Art 2013/14 women's RTW show.

Jared Leto posed a very complex and thought-provoking question on Instagram today: "How ya like my #stash"? The query accompanied a selfie showing off the latest in his facial hair game—a long, ombré (yes, ombré) handlebar mustache. Would you expect anything less from the man with the most perfect two-tone hair in the world? On one hand, Jared's piercing baby blues ensure he'll ALWAYS look pretty damn good. But on the other hand, this new patchy 'stache errs on the side of creepy. So, to answer his original question: AHHH WE DON'T KNOW!
Let's sort through our issues together. First of all, why are his mustache hairs so long? And more important, are they silky smooth like the hair on his head, or coarse like the facial hair of mortal men? I'm going to assume the former, because Jared Leto isn't like most other boys. And I think the dip-dyed ombré effect is making the hairs appear longer than they actually are, so that makes me feel a little bit better.
Here at MTV Style we get really excited when the worlds of music and fashion meet, so Coachella is like a homecoming of sorts, where everyone tries a little harder and flaunts their style, whether they’re turning up their usual look or testing out some riskier #FASHUN. With a star-studded lineup and killer surprise guest list, it’s safe to say that this year Coachella had some of its most eye-catching moments yet—and this was only Weekend One.

Katy Perry didn’t perform but she was (easily) spotted around the festival all weekend long—who could miss her with that new slime-green hair? Obv, Katy didn’t wear a flower crown; she already had a lot going on in the hair department. Katy showed that her green 'do is actually more versatile than you’d think, pairing it with a very ladylike black-and-white ensemble and a turquoise pencil skirt and matching crop top.
As you are probably aware, the 2014 MTV Movie Awards are a mere four days away. One of our favorite categories, especially in a year like this when the competition is so fierce, is Best On-Screen Transformation. To underscore just how incredible these five transformations are, we made GIFs morphing them from their normal, IRL selves into their cinematic alter-egos. Be warned: They're totally mesmerizing. Writing this post took me an extra 20 minutes because I kept watching Orlando Bloom change into Legolas. Now that it's finished, I will resume my watching.
JARED LETO INTO RAYON IN 'DALLAS BUYERS CLUB'

For his role in Dallas Buyers Club, Jared Leto lost 30 pounds and lived as his character, Rayon. As you can see in the GIF, his face grew thinner, he lost his beard and eyebrows, and became an expert at contouring. Whether the world's most perfect ombre is under that cap, we may never know.
If pictures just aren't cutting your desire to relive the 2014 Academy Awards red carpet, maybe GIFs will do the trick. Watch celebs do things on repeat, for the rest of time. You can pick up their mannerisms and, like, IDK impersonate them at parties (for fun or money). Peep Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto doing their thangs, below!
Yeah, I'd take a lot of selfies if I had ombre as flawless as Jared Leto's.

Jared Leto is a man of many talents. In addition to fronting Thirty Seconds to Mars and having some seriously enviable ombre hair to ever grace this Earth, he beautifully portrayed a transsexual AIDS patient named Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club. Jared went through a major physical change in a short amount of time for the role, so we figured, in honor of Jared's nomination for Best Supporting Actor, we would take a look back (mostly via Leto's own Instagram) at his transformation. Let's get this started.

Before undertaking the role of Rayon, Jared had a full beard and impersonated Abe Lincoln for fun. He wore his hair in a man bun.

Even though the show has yet to begin, music's brightest stars are already lighting up the 2014 Grammys red carpet. BIG TIME. And little do they know that before the competition starts to heat up for RULL, an unannounced battle royale has been brewing on the sidelines—and the winner won't be going home with a golden statue. MWAHAHA. They will, however, be going home with our highly coveted accolades, so, you know, there's that.
It's not often that we come across two dudes with hair SO GOOD that we'd trade it for our own. It's even less often that the dudes in question are old enough to be our dads. (Most of us, anyway.) But tonight, both Jared Leto (who's a mind-blowing 42, FYI), and Ozzy Osbourne (who's 65), have given us
ombré *ACHEM* homme-bré strands to envy.

Dang, Jared Leto has been killing it as of late. Between his cotton candy pink-colored bob on the cover of Candy and his high-fashion spread for Mr. Porter, the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman is constantly surprising us with his transformative (and inspiring!) style. Today, he added another magazine to his ever-growing collection by doing a super artsy shoot with BULLETT, and we're—GULP—loving it a bit too much. Basically, Jared is juxtaposed against some seriously '80s backgrounds including spray-painted drywall, a hot pink, photo-covered tarp and, um, garbage bags? Yeah, garbage bags. In his first look, we peep Jared rocking his signature stubble and baby bun in a graphic black and white John Galliano blazer and matching shirt. In another shot, he gets little kookier in a Muppet-inspired (à la Rihanna?) fuzzy teal Paul Smith sweater with a silver Siki Im apron (!!!), Dior Homme shirt, white Calvin Klein trousers, Jared's own checkered socks and metallic Comme des Garçons oxfords.
We need to get something off our chest, y'all—we're jealous of Jared Leto. The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has sported everything from spiky mullets to mesh tank tops to bare brows and STILL always manages to look amazing. At this point, it's just become straight-up unfair, but today, he dropped the mega bomb. He posted an Instagram pic featuring his gorge face on the cover Candy magazine's summer 2013 issue—completely in drag. The cover, shot by Terry Richardson, features Mr. Leto KILLING. IT. in a cotton candy pink bob with blunt bangs, out-of-this-world lashes, and shiny, crimson lips. LAWDY, we can barely handle this. #WERK
Ahhhh, the beauty of the internet. While we normally wouldn't be able to weigh in on Jared Leto's hair choices, the 30 Seconds to Mars frontman took to Instagram last night to ask fans (and us, duh) what his next 'do should be. He posted a pic of himself sporting his gorge blonde-tipped tresses, a thick beard and aviator sunglasses with the caption, "Should I cut off this hippy hair?" Well, Jared, we are SO glad you asked. Now, as much as we love his beachy waves in the pic above, let's be real for a hot sec--he often throws those strands back into a baby bun, which isn't necessarily the best look he's ever sported. I mean, sure, it's better than the Dragon Ball Z 'do he once had or spiky mullet he's donned before, but we have to admit, if you're gonna wear it long, let it ALL hang out.
