Sky Ferreira for Maison Kitsune.

Back in November, we were gifted a single shot from Sky Ferreira's campaign for Maison Kitsune. Grungy and glamorous, Ferreira almost made us think that we too could wake up in our winged eyeliner looking just as low-maintenance luxe. Almost. Then we tried it and were horrified by the drippy-eyed monsters we saw in the mirror. Thankfully, Kitsune FINALLY released some new pics for their Spring/Summer 2014 collection, and we're, like, 90% sure we can actually pull off some of these other NYC-based shots ourselves. (Given the right Instagram filter, a tiny dose of Photoshop, and every single amazing piece from the brand's "New Wave" line, that is.)

Music and fashion have been closerthanclose since day one— after all, that's what this blog is ALL about. But while rad performance outfits and musicians modeling in campaigns is nothing new (just look at Nicki, Katy, or pretty much anyone with a recent Top 40 single as proof), it's rarer to find musicians who actually work it on the runways. And THIS is exactly why Paris Fashion Week this season is so out of the ordinary, as indie rockers are replacing top models on Maison Kitsuné and Saint Laurent Paris catwalks. Kitsuné twisted the traditional show concept this week, instead opting for a televised concert starring the fashion brand-slash-music-label's roster of artists. Genius, right? Emerging acts such as Swedish duo Saint Lou Lou, Brit band Citizens!, and French electro-popper Yelle all hit the stage decked out in the new Fall/Winter collection.
