With every new episode, we're inching closer to the end of Gossip Girl. While this third ep "Dirty Rotten Scandals" was devoid the customary weekly high society soirée, it did include another GG favorite: a fashion show! Despite completely missing New York Fashion Week, Blair (Leighton Meester) makes her public debut at the helm of Eleanor Waldorf Designs with this mid-October runway show, but not without enduring a few hang-ups along the way. Busy B runs herself ragged to the point of severe exhaustion and dehydration, but lucky for her, Chuck (Ed Westwick) swoops in, taking time off of his quest to usurp power from his father Bart (Robert John Burke) to wield his impeccable understanding of Blair's taste all over the Waldorf runway.

Dan (Penn Badgley) and Nate (Chace Crawford) partner up for the launch of Humphrey's Inside reboot (now with real names!) in The Spectator. The subject of Lonely Boy's first post? His dear old dad, Rufus (Matthew Settle). Serena (Blake Lively) juggles some family issues of her own this episode. Nope, we're pretty sure Lily (Kelly Rutherford) still has no idea where her daughter is. We're talking about Serena's new beau Steven (Barry Watson) and his wily and angsty daughter Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia). Sage gives B and S a run for their scheming money, but if you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. Check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

With just 10 episodes comprising this sixth and final season of Gossip Girl, each weekly installation brings us closer to knowing the long-concealed identity of Gossip Girl and *sniffle* the end of an era. But just because the GG writers have a limited amount of time to wrap up story lines definitely doesn't mean they're skimping on the character adds. This season introduces Nate's (Chace Crawford) newest love interest, Sage (Sofia Black-D'Elia), and Serena's (Blake Lively) new beau, Steven (Barry Watson), and the episode kicks off with a messy relationship triangle square involving all four.

Hell-bent on usurping his father Bart's (Robert John Burke) unjust assumption of power over Bass Industries, Chuck (Ed Westwick) has devoted his time to uncovering the dark secret that caused Bart to fake his death back in the day. Meanwhile, Blair (Leighton Meester) rounded up some minions to help ensure that Waldorf Designs' change-of-hands continues to go as smoothly as possible. And Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) acts as Dan's (Penn Badgley) publicist and manager, shopping for the perfect outlet to publish Lonely Boy's Upper East Side tell-all take-down. If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you, but check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

I guess this is it. The final season of Gossip Girl is officially underway, and this first episode marks the beginning of the end. *single tear* With a whole summer between now and last season's finale, there was a lot of catching up to be done. Dan (Penn Badgley) spent his summer at a writing fellowship in Italy where he enlisted Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) to help him pen his next scathing exposé of the Upper East Side. We found Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) going from wild nights together in Monte Carlo to serving out the rest of their summers sorting out business in different parts of the globe (Paris and Dubai, respectively), but promising they would end up together, you know, eventually.

Chuck's father Bart (Robert John Burke) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) spent their vacation rekindling their old flame and returned home happy and relaxed with Rufus (Matthew Settle) barely an afterthought. That is, until they discovered Serena (Blake Lively) hadn't been home all summer and disappeared without a word. Lily called Nate (Chace Crawford) who had spent the last three months devising a plan to revive his newspaper The Spectator. Shocked by the news, he rounded up the rest of the friends and initiated a mission to find S and bring her home. After a major negotiation with Gossip Girl herself, Nate was able to lead everyone to Serena (or should we say Sabrina?) in Poughkeepsie where she had created a new life with a new beau (all in a few months???). If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you, but check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

Gossip Girl is back this week after Blair's (Leighton Meester) frantic escape from her own wedding reception. She hopped in the backseat of a wedding wagon driven by Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley). After a brief recap of her situation, Lonely Boy then agreed to take her to LaGuardia Airport in a desperate attempt to flee for the Dominican Republic and carry out a divorce overseas where Louis' (Hugo Becker) expressed consent isn't needed (à la Liz Taylor).

Back in Manhattan, the rest of our Upper East Siders (and some Monaco royalty) search high and low for the missing would-be princess. Mommy Sophie (Joanne Whalley) is hell-bent on smoothing over the outward appearance of her son's sham wedding and her family's reputation. Meanwhile, Serena (Blake Lively) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) attempt to track down Blair before the Grimaldis and the evil Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) get to her first. On the fringes of this juicy main plot, Nate (Chace Crawford) further explores his mounting interest in cute caterer Lola, but if you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. Check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

Gossip Girl was so insanely monumental this week, we can barely form words beyond ZOMG, GAHHH, NO WAY, and SAY WHAT. (And yes, they need to be in all-caps.) You guys, it was epic, and it should be as it marked the 100th episode of the show! What started as a tribute to Marilyn Monroe's iconic performance of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" courtesy of Serena (Blake Lively) in full-on pink dress va-va-va-voomness morphed into Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) arriving as Audrey Hepburn and doing a tug-of-war with S over Lonely Boy Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley). Alas, it was all part of Serena's dream, and when she awakens we're smack-dab in the middle of Blair's wedding day. The house is royally atwitter with B's impending marriage to Sour Patch Kid Prince Louis Grimaldi of Monaco (Hugo Becker)—even though we know she's still totally in love with Chuck (Ed Westwick)—and royal mama Sophie (Joanne Whalley) is still intent on stopping this wedding charade, calling it a "business deal." Well, she's not the only one who wants to see this "happy" day perish.

As is typical of her über-villain style, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) appears out of nowhere to ruin Blair's special day and decides to go about it by posing as an altar boy. ("Bless us Father, we are about to sin.") Meanwhile, everyone's appealing to Chuck to be the one to rescue Blair from this sham of a marriage, including his best bud Nate (Chace Crawford) who seems to be falling for the sweet catering girl who may or may not be the new/real Charlie Rhodes. So, what happened? There was a wedding (sort of), an intervention (kinda), a complete character turnaround, and then the ultimate reveal of reveals that will leave you GAHHHHing as much as we still are right now. (Like we said, EPIC.) If you haven't caught up yet, we won't spoil the rest for you. Check back here weekly for our fashion recap!

Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Kaylee Defer help "Gossip Girl" celebrate 100 episodes.
Photo: Getty Images/WireImage

Can you believe that Gossip Girl is already celebrating 100 episodes? It seems like just yesterday we were tuning in to the relatively newly renamed CW network to give this cast of unknowns (*achem* extremely good-looking and well-dressed unknowns) a chance. It wasn't long before Blake Lively's Serena van der Woodsen and Leighton Meester's Blair Waldorf and the rest of the Upper East Side's young elite had captured our hearts, attention, and Wednesday nights. Since then, the series has experienced cameos, character appearances and banishments, and more formal parties than you can shake a stick at. The series has become a hot bed for contemporary fashion and as the years have gone on, stylistas have tuned in at growing numbers, like moths to a flame. Naturally, a celebration of the storied fash-forward show would, of course, yield a gang of exquisitely wardrobed attendees.

We know that New York Fashion Week is all about the clothes, but let's be honest here, we also really love the celebrity spotting. When scouting out a new spring/summer 2012 collection, aren't you also SUPER psyched to see who's on the front row? We are! Who doesn't have a relentless desire (nay NEED) to see Hollywood stars sipping on champagne at parties or roaming around pretending they don't want to be photo-mobbed? When it comes to catching stars in their native hand-on-hip, Fashion Week environs, MTV Style totally has you covered.

Last night, we caught Emma Roberts, Michelle Tractenberg, and Elizabeth Olsen (hands! hips!) at the Missoni for Target party. Both Emma and Elizabeth rocked the signature Missoni zigzag print while Michelle opted for a formfitting dress with a shiny clutch and shoes. Who else did we spy with our stylin' eyes? You'll just have to flip through and see! Oh, and don't forget to keep checking back for more; we'll be showering you with star dust as often as possible.

Olivia Palermo at the DKNY Summer Soiree in July 2011; the Olivia-designed shoe for "Young Hollywood Cares."
Photo: FilmMagic/Stuart Weitzman

See, this we like. Instead of adding to the already-saturated celebrity-fronted clothing line hullabaloo, this "Young Hollywood Cares" collection makes a tremendous amount of sense. Not only does the Stuart Weitzman-led initiative benefit Dr. Marsha Moses' pioneering research in ovarian cancer, but it also allows four ladies with a penchant for rocking our socks off to try their hand at shoe architecture. The City style guru Olivia Palermo (whose Weitzman pumps have already debuted on the red carpet before), Scarlett Johansson, Gossip Girl Michelle Trachtenberg, and Hayden Panettiere all put their own spin on the Weitzman heel (think sky-high for Hayden, edgy for Michelle, and so on), which is rad because those girls know what goes into a good pump. They made sure their offerings stayed true to their personal style, oh...aaand contributed to a good cause. So let's see what each lady dreamed up:

Olivia went girlishly sophisticated with a pink feather-embellished wrap-heel, but kept things clean with a streamlined satin strap.

To say that last night's season finale of Gossip Girl was juicy would be the understatement of the YEAR. Because our year revolves around GG. Doesn't yours?! First of all, you KNOW the plot is thick when the party extends more than TWO episodes. This final ep, "The Wrong Goodbye," centers around the Constance Billard alumni event where the last left off. It opens with Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) reluctantly teaming up in hot pursuit of Charlie Rhodes (Kaylee DeFer) who went missing after demanding mid-hookup that Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) call her "Serena" — awkwardddd.

We witness the return of biatch extraordinaire, Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg), who desperately wants inclusion in the Upper East Side scheming she's been missing out on living in Bedford, and OH RIGHT, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) has been missing and is being HELD CAPTIVE by Russell Thorpe (Michael Boatman), though most of the characters seem pretty callous in regards to B's absence. Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) senses in that perpetually furrowed brow that Blair is in danger and elicits the aid of Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) and Raina Thorpe (Tika Sumpter) to find and save her.

Blair STILL struggles to choose between Chuck and Prince Louis Grimaldi, everyone's crazy-meter on Charlie goes through the roof, Georgina seems to be in all the right places at every single right time, Vanessa continues to stick her nose where it doesn't belong, and Gossip Girl author, Cecily von Ziegesar, even makes a cameo! Aaaaand there are PLENTY of twists and turns, but that's all you get! I'm not giving away ANY spoilers because it's the FINALE and so totally worth seeing. I mean, this is your last chance to see these fantastic vestments in movement until the cast of characters comes back from summer vaca after all. Just around 120 days until the next episode! We'll be waiting with bated breath and an unquenchable thirst for drama and sartorial beauty. xoxo

New York Fall 2011 Fashion Week is in full swing (yay!), and we're hitting the tents and following the live streams to bring you chic runway looks, hot hair trends, and easy-breezy front row looks.

• Menswear goes girly at Jason Wu's Fall 2011 fashion show with fitted trousers, lacy sweaters, and bow-tied tops.

• We can totally see First Lady Michelle Obama, who is already a fan of the designer, rocking the third outfit (polka dot blouse and gray pencil skirt) in this runway line.

• P.S. We've seen a handful of slicked-down ponytails for Fall 2011. Take note.

• Hope you still have your hair crimper from middle school, because you might need it this fall! At Rebecca Taylor's fashion show models smoothed down the top portion of their hair, and crimped the bottom half.

• Ohhhh, pretty! Red lips and gilded shadow is a match made in makeup heaven.

• Below the neck, Rebecca Taylor's fall collection was full of '70s Parisian-style tunics, dresses, and trousers.

• At the Rebecca Minkoff show actress (and March 2011 Maxim cover model) Michelle Trachtenberg looked unfussy-eclectic in a simple crewneck sweater, over-the-knee boots and a long statement necklace.
