Guys, we can never get enough of Asher Levine. We've been obsessed with the 25-year-old designer for the past few years (yep, he's been killing it since he was 22!) thanks to his mostly black, all-leather-everything futuristic ensembles that have been spotted on everyone from Lady Gaga to Rita Ora. This season, we were PUMPED to stop by his spring 2014 show, which featured a performance by funeral pop band MXMS (members include Shiny Toy Guns' Jeremy Dawson and Ariel Levitan). Asher stayed true to his dark roots and decked out his models in human anatomy-inspired pieces. Think: Molded, muscular silhouette vests and anatomical, spiky sleeved jackets. For the accessories, Asher said, "I wanted to imagine if we could grow the accessory in a laboratory, and then skin it. What would the accessory look like with it musculature underneath?" Our answer: awesome.

Yeah, yeah, we know New York Fashion Week is officially over, but we needed a FULL weekend of recovery before we dove in and picked out the top nail art looks from all the shows—and it also happens to be Manicure Monday. (How perfect!) We have to admit, though, that this year we definitely saw designs of a whole different variety. Sure, we peeped some straight-up half moon manis (Peter Som!) and glitter gradients (Nicole Miller!), but overall we were incredibly impressed with how much designers were willing to experiment with their tips. From mechanical 3D nails to purposely-imperfect manis, we found 10 shows that totally took nail art to the next level. Check 'em out below!

OK, this image alone speaks volumes about the diversity of nail designs The Blonds had in just ONE NYFW show. Their Tweety Bird-inspired collection certainly included some on-theme bright yellow designs, but they also incorporated clear acrylics and—get this—a mechanical accent nail that came with a clear hinged door (top right). UH HUH, you can thank CND for that lovely creation.

Here at MTV Style, we're pretty shameless about our love of food. We keep a snack drawer stocked year-round. If your event includes a meal, we RSVPed last week. We're in constant pursuit of chips, but we've also never met a granola bar we didn't like. Most of all, though, we reeeeeally like when fashion and food come together. We even devoted a whole weekly franchise to it called Food Friday. Welp, for New York Fashion Week, we took that love to the next level (OK, maybe several next levels) by wearing some of our favorite food-themed clothes to the "tents" at Lincoln Center.

"Fabulous" is, admittedly, an oft overused word, but never have I ever FULLY understood what it meant until meeting David and Phillipe Blond (better known as The Blonds) and seeing their work up close. Sure, you can tell from photographs that their curve-glorifying silhouettes, heavy with gems and crystals like the world's most glamorous barnacles, are major show-stoppers and how that has made them go-to designers for the high octane performance outfits of all your favorite pop stars: Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Beyonce, Selena Gomez, and, like, infinity more. But seeing the pieces first-hand, glittering less than a foot from your eyeballs? That's another story entirely.

We totally freaked out when we heard that Kristin Cavallari was designing her first ever clothing line for NYFW--especially when we realized it also involved the NFL. We were all, "Wait, MTV star + fashion + ...sports? How can this be?" In collaboration with Junk Food clothing, our ex-Hills girl (and wife of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler) designed 32 fashion-y fan looks for each team on the NFL. (Whew, girl put in WORK.) Some of our favorite pieces included a super mod patchwork Denver Broncos-inspired frock, a throwback graphic Miami Dolphins sweatshirt, and a 'dorbs oversized Arizona Cardinals floral print shirtdress. All ensembles were paired with stilettos from Kristin Cavallari's Chinese Laundry line (duh!), which totally completed the look.

Jonathan Simkhai

We don't mean to pick favorites, but we love Jonathan Simkhai. The New York-based designer is relatively fresh to the New York Fashion Week scene (his first show was in 2010!), but he's already won over buyers at Barneys, Shopbop and Bergdorf Goodman, just to name a few. His sporty-meets-edgy-meets-feminine pieces are a fresh take on super cool work wear (or, heck, any kind of wear!), and we're obsessed with his graphically bold designs. His spring/summer 2014 collection features everything from breezy palazzo pants to sultry cut-out crop tops to super mod frocks, and we NEEDED to find out more about this visually-inspiring line. Luckily, we got a chance to catch up with Jonathan himself to tell us about his collection inspiration, live presentation music, and the type of girl he designs for. Check it out below!

Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea, A$AP Rocky

As if a surprise runway walk from Rita Ora (accompanied by a seriously dope Spring 2014 collection that's both nostalgic and forward-thinking) wasn't enough, DKNY threw itself a GIGANTIC 25th birthday party last night in New York's Financial District punctuated by a high octane performance from the next face of the brand herself. The crowd itself was star-studded with a huge range of fashion fans, from Hailee Steinfeld to John Legend and his hilarious model boo Chrissy Teigen to Red Hot Chili Peppers' Anthony Kiedis. But the stage ALSO boasted its fair share of famous faces as Iggy Azalea, Melanie Fiona, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg all made surprise guest performance appearances.

Justin Bieber

That's right, folks. Justin Bieber has been topping charts, selling out arenas, and sending ladybabies and grown women (what has two thumbs and bookmarks KidRauhl?) into tailspins with his silky golden pipes, shirtless Instagrams, perma-furrowed brow, but not until this past Sunday, after three full-length studio albums, two international tours, and countless awards, has he sat front row at a New York Fashion Week show. Yup. Until yesterday, the Biebs had been a mere casual observer of Fashion Week, making a #veryrare appearance for Fashion's Night Out but not (yet) perching alongside the runway. And this weekend (perhaps making up for lost time?), Justin took in TWO major Spring 2014 shows: Y-3 (fist bumping with Yohji himself afterward) and Opening Ceremony's very first runway show.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
