Style has moved! come with us to mtv news »

We are fully in prom mode here at MTV Style, even though we attended our own proms many moons ago. While we've brought you dresses for different price points, an entire outfit for under $100, and nail art perfect for your prom night, you may be in the market for something a little more familiar. Some of our fave celebrities wear prom-appropriate dresses on the red carpet all the time, so why not look to them for inspiration? Their duds, of course, tend to be designer and costlier than what most students want to spend on prom looks, so we found some similar alternatives. Peep them all below!

Lupita Nyong'o was the queen of the red carpet this year, especially at the Academy Awards, where she wore this "Nairobi Blue" Prada gown. The best part of Lupita's dress, as Emma Stone is well aware, is the swingy skirt. This dress from Nordstrom ($298) nails the color and the flowy skirt, but provides more coverage on top. You will not be able to stop twirling—what could be better?

Throughout the past couple of weeks we've been talkin' about prom. We've shown you dresses for different price points and rompers and jumpsuits to consider instead of a dress. Sure, finding a prom dress for under $150 is cool, but you know what's cooler? A billion dresses for $150. JK, it's finding an entire prom look for $100. Yep, even though it sounds impossible, we've found three dress/shoe/bag combinations that not only work together, but are under 100 bones. TOTAL. While there are plenty of expensive dresses out there, you definitely can cop your entire look for less, if you want to. Check out our three fave combos below!

When it comes to prom, tulle is probably the fabric that first comes to mind. Like, LBR, your mind doesn't immediately go to cotton when the word prom is uttered. This dress ($22.80) reverses typical prom dress styles with a layer of tulle on the outside of the skirt. Throw on a leather jacket you already own and pair it with metallic silver shoes ($47.04) and a small clutch ($19.99) and you're good to go.

TOTAL: $86.83

Over the past week we've brought you a bunch of different prom dresses for every price point. Whether you're in the market for something under $150, over $350, or anywhere in between, we've got ya covered. Today, though, we're switching focus to something a bit more exotic, as far as prom wear goes—we're talking jumpsuits and rompers. Since the all-in-one pieces are having ~such a moment~ right now, there are a ton out there. We scoured a few of our fave sites and narrowed down the options into pieces you may actually want to wear in lieu of a dress. Peep them in all their glory below!

BLACK-TIE JUMPSUITS

If you decide to wear a jumpsuit to prom, chances are you're pretty sartorially courageous. These full-length and solid-color jumpsuits combine the length and elegance of a traditional prom dress, but let you crawl into the back of a limo, no problem. The first option gives you a sparkly top and basic bottom—it looks more like a tucked-in shirt and pants than a one-piece ($103). The second option is black and features flared legs, which gives it a skirt effect ($79). In case you're worried you'll feel all buttoned-up next to your dress-wearing counterparts, fear not—the back on this bad boy is totally open. The third option is strapless and taupe ($122). You'll be able to accessorize with anything because it's so simple. The final option has a full front and back, but it's completely sheer thanks to its lace inserts ($122).

With prom season in full swing, we've been keeping our eyes peeled for the best dresses out there on the interwebz. Last week we brought you dresses under $150 and between $150 and $350, but today we're breaking out the big guys. We looked around for the 10 dresses we think are worth the splurge. We're talking big bucks here—$350 and up—so we only included ones we are 100% in love with. Check 'em out below!

SOLID AND STRUCTURED

If you're in the market for a dress that is, as far as prom dresses go, simple and something you may wear again, these three dresses are what you're looking for. The first option, a peachy color, is structured at the top, but flares into a full skirt at the bottom ($348). The second, besides being a gorgeous royal blue, is structured in an unusual way—you're guaranteed to have one of the most unique skirts at prom ($398). The final option is a simple, strapless red dress that you can definitely wear after prom, if you so choose ($425). It might be a little formal, but if I owned that dress I'd wear it to, like, brunch. I'd want everyone to see it constantly.

Yesterday we brought you prom dress options for under $150. Today we bumped the budge higher—up to $350—and found 10 more dresses that are totally perfect for prom. These options are affordable and high-quality—you may even want to wear your dress after prom. Yeah, that's how good they are. Check out all 10 picks below!

OVERLAY OBSESSED

Prom

Based on our research (aka trolling our favorite websites), we can confirm that sheer overlay is a huge trend for Prom 2014. The first dress option is classic and feminine, with black lace on top of a nude bodice ($198). The full skirt is perfect for twirling, which is all that really matters at prom. The second option is one of the few colorful lace options we saw out there, which automatically makes it a contender ($179). The third option is the most expensive on the page ($338), but, I mean, look at it. The strong lines across the front create a harness effect, which toughens the dress up without completely undermining the delicate lace. The final option is a bold choice cause who knows what types of foods and drinks will be spilled at prom, but it's also worth it ($170). It's prom—live on the (sartorial) edge!

Prom season is surrounding us, peeps. It's already mid-April (HOW?) and the big day is approaching. Fast. If you haven't started looking for your dress, shoes, accessories, etc.—don't worry, we got you. We took a few online trips to some of our favorite retailers and rounded up the best prom dresses out there this season, all for under $150. OK, let's stop talking and start shopping—these bad boys are prob not gonna last much longer.

METALLIC MINIS

A metallic dress may look expensive, but there are plenty of cheap options out there. Here are three. The first is a gold metallic number ($115) with geometric threaded detailing and shoulder cutouts. While the shoulders and dress length show some skin, the rest is totally full coverage, which means you'll be able to dance and pose for pictures without constantly adjusting. The second option is a two-tone metallic dress with an unusual neckline and flared skirt ($150). Because this dress is so reflective, it'll appear as different colors throughout the night—multiple dresses for the price of one! Finally, there's this silver-and-black fitted mini ($43), which, post-prom, can def. be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe.
