A still from Robyn's "U Should Know Better" music video featuring Snoop Dogg.

Late last week, Robyn and Snoop Dogg released a music video for their extra-special duet "U Should Know Better" from Robyn's 2010 Body Talk. We may have been bumping the track for the past three years, but that doesn't make us any less excited for the new excuse to play it even louder (which is exactly what we did this past weekend). Now that we're back in the office, we're lending a more serious eye toward the video and its gender-bending concept. Robyn herself only makes one IRL cameo in the short, letting a mini boy-version of herself take center stage alongside Pernilla of 2faced1's Lady Snoop. The likenesses of both are uncanny, due mostly to expert styling, so obviously we're inclined to break down the fashion.
All due respect to "Time After Time," but the typical high school dance playlist has us feeling a little sleepy. DJing is a serious business, particularly for a night as highly anticipated as prom. You want to set the right balance between songs people like to dance to with their friends, crowd favorites, and, of course, the obligatory slow dances. We set out to create a 10-track playlist to get you in the mood for prom, and maybe to inspire some DJ booth requests, as well. Listen to it while you're browsing websites looking for the perfect dress, while you're testing our that flawless celeb-inspired beauty look, or when you're packing up your prom survival kit before heading out to the dance. Even better, dance around your room to these songs in your PJ's and prom shoes—you want to make absolutely sure those bad boys are broken-in when it comes time to break it down on the dance floor.
SKY FERREIRA - "EVERYTHING IS EMBARRASSING"
One of the "It" songs of the year, Sky Ferreira's "Everything is Embarrassing" is a great ice-breaker. You're a little nervous to get out there on the floor and start just breaking it down, and you DEFINITELY don't want to start with a slow jam. Might as well just acknowledge the fact that you're feeling a little bashful, own it, and get on out there.
If you've laid a finger on the interwebz this week, you're probably MORE than aware of Miley Cyrus's drastic new bleach blonde pixie haircut. Not only has she been tweeting pics of it at a break-neck pace that seems almost hourly, but fans and fashion blogs (what has two thumbs, y'all?) alike are going nuts over the "Party in the U.S.A." singer's new look. Our pals at Buzzworthy made an argument recently that the punkier baby blonde 'do might be channeling Gwen Stefani - a conjecture we can totally see, especially when she breaks into the bright red lip look. But this see-through shirt + printed leggings outfit from one of Miley's most recent photos is screaming ROBYN to us!
Looks from the Fall 2012 Kenzo show at Paris Fashion Week.

It's official. We're completely OBSESSED with Kenzo. The love affair began with the newly revamped label's first Paris Fashion Week show last October, which featured Chloe Sevigny on the runway and Jason Schwartzman behind a drum kit. Our hearts swelled even more with the crazy colorful pre-fall presentation turned out to be our dream wardrobe. But the fall 2012 show—which took place in a space-age looking French university building with 50 models walking a runway that spanned four floors—catapulted us to beyond smitten with its bold mix of pattern, color, print (GRAPES!), accessories (WALNUTS!), and a front row cheer section that included Robyn and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Did we mention there were Magnolia Bakery cupcakes flown in from New York and placed on every seat? (#delicious) But, seriously, the clothes were even yummier.

Givenchy has long been a beloved fashion house of celebrities, particularly musicians, for years, so it only makes sense that the hottest stars of the music scene turned up in droves for Riccardo Tisci's latest showing at Paris Fashion Week. The edgy luxury collection of sleek leathers and buttery silks in rich seasonal neutrals and punches of neon was watched by a front row glittering with music heavy-hitters. Tisci muse Kanye West posted up in a star-spangled white Givenchy sweater to watch the autumn womenswear collection's debut just a few days before his own Paris show tomorrow. Singer Cassie also attended the show, looking stunning as always in a large black fur draped over her shoulders and opulent hand (and nail!) jewelry. Cassie's mentor Diddy was also spotted front row, as well as the lovely Miss Alicia Keys.
Katy Perry at the 2012 Grammy Awards in L.A. on Feb. 12.

We've already dished on our top red carpet dresses from the 2012 Grammys, but when we looked a little closer, we noticed something else beautiful happening with all of these ladies' looks—their spectacular nail art! Not only did they bring out their best nail game, but they all matched their tips to their frocks perfectly. First up—Katy Perry. She smothered herself in blue from her hair, to her dress, to even her nails. She sported a clear and azure blue French mani with a single rhinestone placed on each finger to complement her sparkly baby blue Elie Saab gown.
It's got to be stressful knowing you'll be photographed every moment of your waking life. Some celebrities respond to the pressure by giving in to comfort, taking back their lives, and being relegated to "Stars They're Just Like Us" columns of tabloids by near-exclusively wearing jeans, cashmere wraps, and Uggs while schlepping around Best Buy bags. Others swing violently to the other, battier side of the spectrum, upping the ante each time to dip themselves in progressively bananas ensembles, and and it's to those folks that we clink our drinks and tip our hats because they actually give us something to talk about. So in celebration of head-to-toe candy raver outfits, zip-up down-filled cactus cowls, rabid blood-dipped bird head ornaments, and wearing a big-ass sheet to the Met gala, we bring you The Most Outrageous Outfits of 2011.
ANNA DELLO RUSSO IN A SQUAWKING SWAN HEADPIECE
Anna Dello Russo at the Irreverent Dinner hosted by Carine Roitfeld on Oct. 4, 2011, in Paris, France.
Anna Dello Russo is the editor-at-large at Vogue Nippon and one of our favorites for obvious reasons. Look it, this bish is out of her treeeeee! While I didn't necessarily love this taxidermied lunatic bird mere weeks before on the runway at Giles Deacon during London Fashion Week (in fact, it topped my list of WTF Headgear From London Fashion Week) this ruffled avian flu bomb appearing atop an equally scrawny, akimbo-armed Anna sorta made my day. It's hilarious. It honestly looks like some couture-wearing parasitic insect laid an egg in the swan and now Anna, its merciless offspring clawing out of its underbelly with a triumphant, s***-eating grin and $1,200 shoes. It's fantastic.
Robyn performs on "Saturday Night Live" on Dec. 10.

The pop music stars were (literally/figuratively/awesomely) aligned on Saturday evening when Swedish pop gem Robyn (and her BANANAS custom platform Timbs) took the SNL stage and former tour homegirl Katy Perry was the night's hostest-with-the-mostess. But was America ready for the Swedish pop tart with a bite and her body-rollin, making-out-with-herself dance moves? She did a backwards-somersault-into-a-full-on-dance-floor-hump while rocking a pristine bowl cut (which our little brothers totally had in '96) WHILST singing "Call Your Girlfriend," and it might've actually changed our lives, like, forevs. *dead* Call US, girlfriend. Not only do we wanna borrow those bouncy moves, we also want to raid that suitcase of yours.
Katy Perry at her Wild West Ho Down Throwdown birthday party.

So, Katy Perry threw a birthday party, and in TRUE Katy fashion, she went ALL. OUT. Even though her actual birthday was in late October (the 25th to be exact!), she continued the celebration by throwing a "Wild West Ho Down Throwdown" themed fete and invited allll of her cute-to-boot friends. I mean, we're not really THAT into theme parties, but when we were perusing through Mark The Cobrasnake's photos, we began to SERIOUSLY rethink every Cowboys and Indians college party we were invited to—our outfit could've been so much cuter. Just look at Katy! She wore a head-to-toe pink, black, and white outfit straight from Jeremy Scott's spring 2012 collection, and (as you'll see in the last photo) she even got a customized studded vest that says "Bday Gal" on the back! Adorable. Jeremy also showed up to the shindig wearing a pink and green fringe vest from his spring 2012 collection, and, um, some very revealing chaps. (Scroll down for the money shot.) Katy and Jeremy are obviously besties, and there's nothing we love more than seeing one of our favorite artists and designers collab for an all-out adorable ensemble. Other highlights from the party include: Robyn dressed up as a cactus (yes, THAT Robyn), Russell Brand as a shirtless Indian, and Katy Perry shooting another cowboy with her pink rhinestone gun. Uh-mazing. Peep TONS of photos below!!!
Robyn talks to MTV Style about her style on the road.
As you know, we're all bananas about Robyn and EXTRA stoked that the platinum-topped Swedish fashion plate is performing TONIGHT at MTV O Music Awards at 11:30 p.m. ET/ 8:30 PT at OMusicAwards.com. Honestly, it's kinda a relief since we've all been AGGRESSIVELY celebrating Halloween for three days now. Our pores have only just begun to normalize after being inundated with lead-based scary-face makeup and our hair follicles are mad at us and all we can think about is being ENTERTAINED by PROFESSIONALS like presenters Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Odd Future, and of course, our girl Robyn, from the comfort of our homes. We'll be treating her set like a metronome as we rhythmically stuff our pie-holes with ordered in Pad Thai. NOM.
In this interview with MTV Style, Robyn chats on a number of topics (on our sister site Buzzworthy she teaches you how to say, "I love you" in Swedish and Prince!!!) but mostly about the logistics of being on the road, what she HAS TO bring on tour, her platform Timbs, and her favorite designers. OBVI, J. Scott is mentioned.
