valentines-day

Get it while it's hot!
Photos: Etsy/Society6

Picking out the perfect card for your Valentine can be a daunting task. Do you go for one that sings? Should you settle on sentimental or funny? If you go for funny, is the one you picked out, like, FUNNY-funny or is it funny-ha-ha? Meaning will they laugh out loud or feign a courtesy chuckle? So many questions! Only one real answer: get him/her/them a pizza Valentine. No, not a pizza in the shape of a heart, but one of these pizza-themed Valentine's Day cards that we rounded up for the occasion. We guarantee you'll knock this one out of the park. As long as they love pizza. (But, I mean, if they don't love pizza, you should probably consider that a red flag.)

valentines-day

Take it!

IDK about you, but my favorite greeting cards are the ones that inspire a classic rock sing-a-long (and trust me, they're few and far between, my friends). Double-dog-dare your significant other to try and NOT and belt out their best Janis Joplin when they open up this card, and then make them pay you in kisses when they lose. Or money. Money's good, too.

Cookie

Cover yourself in cookies.

Our past few Food Fridays have been dessert-filled and today's is no different. Why stop a good thing, amiright? Today we turn our attention to cookies: the flavor variety in the world of cookies allows for a diverse selection of cookie swag, which we've rounded up for your consideration.

Michael Jackson

Look bad (but in a good way) in this throwback Michael Jackson "Stan Swag."
Photo: Etsy

55 years ago today, Michael Jackson was born. The man has been and will continue to be a pop culture/music icon for decades, and on top of that, he had an inimitable personal style that always felt relevant and genuine in everything he did. In honor of what would have been the King of Pop's 55th birthday, we've rounded up a few of our favorite pieces of MJ Stan Swag. Because, honestly, who isn't a Stan for Michael?

Strawberry swag.
Photo: 1991 Inc./Urban Outfitters/Society6/ShopJeen/Lazy Oaf

Happy Friday before the VMAs, peeps! Since it's begun getting dark before 8 PM—the worst—we figured this installment of Food Friday should honor a prominent summertime food, one that is not only good on its own but a key ingredient in a number of summertime dishes. We're talkin' strawberries, y'all. While we can (and do) eat pizza and ice cream throughout the year with abandon, our strawberry consumption is limited to June-August, so we betta take advantage. If you wanna incorporate strawberry styles into your summer game, you're gonna have to act quickly, so we've rounded up the best strawberry-themed swag out there. The good news is that, unlike the actual fruit, these pieces will stay fresh the entire year, so, now you can have a strawberry [sweater] in February.

Lazy Oaf and Nasty Gal have combined forces and produced this fruit-filled dress (it's not actually filled with fruit, it's just the print, SO DON'T WORRY!) that not only features strawberries, but watermelons, cherries, all the faves, etc. Tip: this dress is perfect for any fruit-themed parties you may have in your social calendar. Another party possibility are these strawberry-printed peep-toe platforms from Urban Outfitters—they're on sale for $25, which, coincidentally is about the price of five containers of real strawberries, and one will last you a lot longer than the other, so...no brainer.

There's a graphic strawberry print iPhone case from Society6 that, in the colder months, will remind you that summer will return and you'll once again be able to eat as many strawberries as you want/are capable of. There's also a pair of strawberry socks from ShopJeen that, at $6 are quite a steal, TBH. The final piece of the collection is not only printed in the colors of a strawberry and its seeds, but actually features pictures of strawberries. Quite a few of them. We're, of course, talking about the 1991 Inc. Strawberry Sweater. Looking at this sweater is like looking in a bushel of strawberries (a sight I'm quite familiar with, JK!), or like looking in a container of strawberries you bought at the supermarket. Either way, better stock up on strawberries/strawberry swag while you can!

Did you know Kanye West has a new album coming out next week? It's kind of a small project, and Ye generally downplays everything he does, so it's understandable that you might not have heard about it... JOKES. Yeezus the man and the record have been everywhere for the better part of the past month and definitely this week. From premiering music at Governors Ball to celebrating his birthday with a star-studded party, from his Manhattan album listening party to the New York Times interview heard 'round the world, Kanye has ramped the anticipation for his sixth studio album waaaay up over the last few days. As we broach release week (the album officially drops on Tuesday, remember?), we want to make sure all the true blue Kanye fans are prepared for the coming of Yeezus. Thus, we've wrangled up a haul of the best Yeezy fan merch (affectionately termed around here as "Stan Swag") for your consumption. And don't worry, it's all (relatively) reasonably priced, so you won't be spending everything on Alexander Wang.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
