Style has moved! come with us to mtv news »

There's an avalanche of new Michael Jackson music coming out, and I honestly couldn't be more excited about it! The King of Pop has soundtracked many the poignant moment in my life: learning the alphabet, my very first Halloween party, and even that time I befriended a killer rat. All along the way, MJ has been a beacon of iconic style from his bellbottomed Jackson 5 days to his signature band jackets, so in honor of the forthcoming release of Xscape, we're taking a look back at his most stylish music videos.

You can't talk about MJ's style without talking about the "Thriller" jacket. That bright cherry red. That angular V-shaped panel. The fact that it's the style centerpiece of one of the greatest music videos of all time. This is the definition of iconic.

Michael had a knack for striking separates (something he picked up in his youth, perhaps?), and his wardrobe for ground-breaking music video "Billie Jean" was no exception. If you think a pink shirt and a bow tie is soft, try wearing them with an all-leather suit. Now who's soft, HANH?

Michael Jackson Thriller and Beat It Jacket

Without a doubt, two of THE most iconic jackets in music video history lie in the hands of Mr. Michael Jackson. His sharp-shouldered red and black leather popped-collar jacket from "Thriller" made SUCH a huge mark on the fashion and music world, and MJ's red exposed zipper "Beat It" jacket paired with his cropped black pants, white socks, and slip-on loafers embodies one of the most remembered outfits from Michael's career. (EVERYONE can picture him dancing in the brightly lit hallway with his bouncy curls and badass moves, amiright?) Well, if you've always wondered where you can get your hands on one of those incredible jackets, we've got something to add to the top of your Christmas wish list: The J5 Collection (a clothing company dedicated to The Jackson 5's musical legacy) released limited-edition replicas of the oh-so-famous Michael Jackson jackets. The jackets are signed by Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon (including a replication of Michael Jackson's signature) and are inspired by the original Deborah Nadoolman design, which was tailored to fit Michael's exact proportions. The limited-edition jackets cost a PRETTY penny, though. They cost—wait for it, waitttt for it—$2,350 a pop. (Ouch!) But, there's a catch—only 500 of each jacket has been produced. Let's hope you've been good this year! (Or know how to beg REALLY, REALLY well.)

Stills from Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video.

Julien's Auctions of Beverly Hills is kicking off a Music Icons auction on June 25, which features items from legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Johnny Cash. (You may have heard of one of those dudes before.) But the star of the show is quite clearly the undeniable holy grail of performance fashion memorabilia: Michael Jackson's infamous red angular jacket from the 'Thriller' music video. Bidding on the MJ-signed jacket starts at a cool $100,000 and is estimated to rake in double, maybe even quadruple, that. (There are very few things we could justify someone spending that type of money on fashion-wise. This MIGHT be one of them. What an icon!) Don't have that kind of dough handy? That'sOK—we found some more pretty bananas items you could score for a little less moolah: a cow-hide Liberace jacket for lounging around the house, checkered pants worn on stage by Gene Simmons, a bustier signed by Madonna, and this totally ridic-amazing double-breasted lame suit Snoop Dogg wore in the video for "Sensual Seduction". Too bad Snoop is too tall for our size... we'd take two. More pictures of MJ's jacket after the jump!

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
