NYFW

The stars have certainly made this Fashion Week an exciting one. We've seen them stomp the runway à la Rita Ora, or even make a NYFW debut, facial hair included (you can't hide that miniscule moustache Biebs). And while we're struggling to remember whether we even put makeup on this morning, we're glad the celebs are still well-groomed and out in full force for the photogs. We're on the downward slope/climb/exhausting long-haul of the week, y'all. Here's who we've spotted perched in the front row.

Just when we think we have 'em figured out, they go and pull a fast one on us.

Ellie Goulding postponed a few shows on her Halcyon tour to run the Nike Women Half Marathon in D.C., raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition to being a total BAWSE, she dished about her workout style and running playlist! {Refinery 29}

• When designer Tory Burch isn't building her uptown-chic empire of ballet flats, she's jamming out to the one and ONLY, Tupac. Perhaps there's a double meaning in those iconic "T" emblems? {Racked}

• Indie darling Sufjan Stevens might have a history with outrageous performance outfits, but one time in college, he published a scathingly honest guide to fashion dos and dont's. Take heed, y'all. {BuzzFeed}

Zach Galifianakis took a break from his SNL rehearsals to profess a new-found passion for nail art. He's so serious about it, he got a $400 manicure that includes a sticker of Justin Bieber's face. {SNL}

• And in a new low for millennials: some college senior thought it would be a good idea to bring her cat to an interview at American Eagle corporate. (¬¬) Come onnnnn. {Complex}

The CFDA Awards, hosted by the Council of Fashion Designers in America (hence the name CFDA), is appropriately dubbed the Oscars of fashion. Of course, the Council only recognizes American designers, but that is totally great with us because it reminds us that Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenburg and Vera Wang all claim this landspace as their own. The ceremony, a rather small affair that is about as easy to get invited to as the Royal Wedding, is the time when American designers get to walk with their current "muses." Past award winners featured Iman (as an icon), Michelle Obama (as a special tribute) and Rodarte (best womenswear).

The real Oscars are for beauty and classic-ness, but the CFDA's prove that a celeb has the fashion chutzpah to own the red carpet. And, of course, there was Lady Gaga, who is now an official CFDA Fashion Icon.

Love her, hate her, or shut off each time she is mentioned (which in all fairness, is quite a lot), her CFDA nod firmly cemented her status as a real game-changer, not just a punk kid in wacky boots. We love that she brought her vamped out sister Natali as her red carpet date. The piercing eyes and Italian fierceness is clearly genetic—though definitely NOT genetic was Gaga's blunt cut aqua bob, which appeared front and center. However, we aren't massive fans of her unwieldy and dragging train, which was reportedly such a hassle she couldn't make it into the press room for interviews. Yet, in true Gaga-watching form, we wrestle with conflicting emotions on her acceptance getup: She ditched the train and then turned around to moon the industry—Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington included. Maybe not the most classic and respectful of moves, but hey, even as a game-changer, she still is a punk kid in wacky boots. But she wasn't the only one who kept the paps a-snappin'.

From left to right: Kanye West at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rodarte, and Tory Burch.

Kanye West closing out the Video Music Awards last Sunday was just a blip on his busy radar. He sandwiched in SO MUCH ACTION last week that it was hard to keep up! And the main focus of his attention: New York Fashion Week. He attended a handful of fashion shows, and he dressed to impress. So the real question is, did he? You tell us.

Outfit 1: Black suit, sunglasses, white button-up shirt, black pin, black patent sneakers.
Kanye West wore this look to the 3.1 Phillip Lim menswear show on Sept. 10, before jetting off to Los Angeles for his VMA run. The wearing-sunglasses-indoors is a nice touch — how very Vogue editor Anna Wintour of him!

Outfit 2: Black suit, black V-neck tee, white sneakers.
Kanye West simplified his look when he attended the Rodarte fashion show on Sept. 14. It looks like he's more casual than his first Fashion Week appearance, or maybe he's just tired and jet-lagged from flying across the country twice in 72 hours.

Outfit 3: Hot pink blazer, white tee, white jeans, black patent sneakers, black rose pin, sunglasses.
For the last day of Fashion Week, Kanye West closed the week in his brightest outfit yet — a hot pink blazer! Way to throw some color in there, Kanye! He wore this outfit to the Tory Burch presentation as well as the Jeremy Scott show, where he sat front row next to Kelly Osbourne. This is our favorite because it proves you can totally wear white after Labor Day. And better yet, MEN CAN WEAR PINK!

Outfit 4: Shiny black jacket, black tee, and gold chains.
Later, after his bright pink blazer moment, Kanye West changed into a shiny black jacket for the L.A.M.B after-party, where he met up with the label's designer, Gwen Stefani. But, this had to be our favorite Kanye look, because he brought back some of his VMA flair! The gold chain necklace is the same one from his performance at the VMAs. Way to reuse and recycle!

New York Fashion Week just wrapped last Thursday, and we’re still thinking about the gorgeous spring collections that designers sent down the runway. Some labels, including Preen and Alexander Wang, were defined by nude tones and flowy silhouettes, while other collections, such as Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. and Betsey Johnson leaned toward bright colors and bold prints. Here, we round up the nine most fun collections from the weeklong fashion fest (and don't forget to check out Whitney Port's entire collection here).

1. Betsey Johnson
What message was Betsey Johnson trying to send us when she sent every model down the runway with a collar necklace that read, "Ride Me"? Surprisingly, it was literal — she created a bike-inspired collection, and models carried wheels, bike chains, and helmets down the runway. Betsey Johnson herself even rode down the runway at the end of the show on a cruiser. As for the clothes, there were leotards, striped tights, and bra tops. So fun!

2. Marc By Marc Jacobs
Stripes were EVERYWHERE on the runway at the Marc by Marc Jacobs fashion show. They covered '70s-inspired dresses for ladies, as well as cute sweaters for boys. Marc Jacobs balanced some of the brighter yellows and oranges with gray blazers and skirts, too.

3. Charlotte Ronson
Charlotte Ronson, twin sister of DJ Samantha Ronson, presented a '90s collection with floral dresses, slouchy hoodies, and romantic peasant skirts. Nicky Hilton, 90210's Shenae Grimes, and Solange Knowles all showed up to support the designer in the stylish front row, while her twin Sam spun tunes for the event.
