Vanessa Hudgens, totally unretouched.
Vanessa Hudgens is back with her second Bongo campaign. The fact that the company tapped the actress as their face for another season isn't surprising—the fact that these images are totally unretouched, however, is. "It’s so important for girls to remember that real beauty shines from within," Vanessa said in the press release. "I’m so proud that Bongo is choosing to send such a positive message with this campaign." It's refreshing to see a model, let alone an actress like Hudgens with such a wide reach, opt out of Photoshopping—especially since heavily edited images have become the norm, setting crazy unrealistic standards for beauty.
Vanessa doesn't need any help from Photoshop, of course. She looks flawless as ever in the photos and even stays true to her OG boho style in the campaign.
Here at MTV Style we get really excited when the worlds of music and fashion meet, so Coachella is like a homecoming of sorts, where everyone tries a little harder and flaunts their style, whether they’re turning up their usual look or testing out some riskier #FASHUN. With a star-studded lineup and killer surprise guest list, it’s safe to say that this year Coachella had some of its most eye-catching moments yet—and this was only Weekend One.

Katy Perry didn’t perform but she was (easily) spotted around the festival all weekend long—who could miss her with that new slime-green hair? Obv, Katy didn’t wear a flower crown; she already had a lot going on in the hair department. Katy showed that her green 'do is actually more versatile than you’d think, pairing it with a very ladylike black-and-white ensemble and a turquoise pencil skirt and matching crop top.
Sure, the Oscars are glamorous and esteemed and a major cultural moment, but I think I'd rather attend an Oscars after-party than the ceremony itself. The casual atmosphere of the post-show bashes is way less "I'd like to thank the Academy" and way more (to quote Matthew McConaughey), "Alright, alright, alriiiiight." We saw some pretty amazing looks on the red carpet last night for sure, but the parties brought out some new fashions that totally reflected the more fun phase of the evening. Check out some of our faves:

After winning big last night, Lupita swapped out her princess Prada gown for this flirty Miu Miu dress. The sea foam fringe and buckled straps reminded us of a day spent at the beach—the perfect image for a first-time Oscar winner. Lupita held onto the same jewelry she wore at the ceremony and clutched her new statuette for the entire night (totally what I would do, too).
Vanessa Hudgens for 'Nylon.'

While we are the #1 fans of Demi Lovato's blue hair and its first feature on the cover of Nylon, we were eagerly waiting to see who the magazine tapped for their February cover. Well, we finally got our answer: It's Vanessa Hudgens! Two Disney stars in a row? Maybe Miley for March? The ex-Mousketeer hat trick is tempting.
Anyway, we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's talk Vanessa. While the actual cover isn't out yet, Nylon just released some preview shots from her spread, and we are definitely feeling her styling. In one shot, she wears a pink bra with an Armani Exchange leather jacket and sheer Burberry Prorsum skirt. Are bras and leather jackets really becoming a thing? Katy Perry just wore the look in GQ, and if that's the trend for spring, I better stock up on publicly acceptable bras now.
We're in the homestretch, you guys: less than a week 'til Halloween! We've shown you how to revive the '90s, how to dress like characters from TV shows that aren't Breaking Bad, and how to resemble your favorite merkin-mask-wearing pop star, Lady Gaga. Now it's time to consider rounding up three of your BFFs for a group costume that guarantees it's ~Spring Break 4Evaaa~. That's right, we're talking Spring Breakers.
Anyone who has seen the movie, slash anyone who has been on the Internet once in the past year, knows that the four Spring Breakin' girls—Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine—spend the majority of the film in bathing suits. They even wear bikinis in jail. They wear cut-out one piece suits to rob other revelers. They bad. We rounded up the three most recognizable looks from the film, which, with a few exceptions, you probably have all the pieces for already. We also already laid down some Spring Breakers steez tips when the trailer came out in January, so you can add mirrored sunglasses, snapbacks, anything neon, etc. to these looks for an extra Spring Break-y costume.
Vanessa Hudgens debuts her new 'do on Instagram.

Aww yeahhhh, Vanessa Hudgens just turned up the ombre hair game by 1000%. The dark on top, light on bottom look has been around for a while and was due for a change, and Vanessa is just the lady to provide that ~inspiration~. V. Hudg, a proud member of the Frequently Changing Hair Club™, debuted her new look on Instagram and only one word comes to mind: autumnal. That word could be stuck in our brains because her caption tells us it's her "autumn hair" (my autumn hair is the same as my winter, spring, and summer hair!), OR it could be because the blend of red, yellow, and brown really evokes a feeling of fall foliage. I know exactly what having nature-inspired hair is like: mine often feels and looks like a nest.

All praise be to Rita Ora, Hayley Williams, Vanessa Hudgens and circa 2011 Whitney Port. This raver pigtail bun steez just might be the answer to all my summer hair woes. Maybe I'm too impatient. Maybe I'm not tonsorially dexterous. Maybe it's just my own bad luck, but MAN, trying to style my hair in the summer is a virtually impossible feat. Back me up if you feel me. You're hot, you sweat at the sight of a curling/flat iron, you're running around a bunch because your body's all hopped up on the vitamin D you were missing by hibernating all winter, and your hair. is. a. mess. Enter Raver Pigtail Buns™.

Vanessa Hudgens, is that even you?! She looks so unbelievably different here, it's hard NOT to do a double-take when you first glance at the actress's new fashion editorial in this month's Paper magazine. The Spring Breakers star has totally ditched her classic California girl style for Dior, Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton in the boundary-pushing spread...sort of like a mashup of Joan Jett rebelliousness with a bit of David Bowie glam thrown in for good measure. Her shaggy mullet, paired with her dramatic kohl-rimmed cat eyes, berry lips, and edgy fresh-off-the-runway outfits, is Vanessa Hudgens as we've NEVER seen her before. Think '90s chokers, bold brows, and fearlessly defiant poses that practically pop off the pages. See more of her glam rock transformation below!

It's not just the Oscars ceremony itself that draws hoards of well-heeled starlets, ladies turn it out for the parties during and after the show, too. One of the biggest, most anticipated annual Oscar parties is Vanity Fair's which often boasts a stacked Young Hollywood guest list CHOCK full of shimmering, glittering, pretty young thangs. Last night's Vanity Fair Oscar Party was certainly no exception as a major trend for party-goers was dresses that shone and glinted in the light.

Despite the familiar Disney faces in Spring Breakers (Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and even Ashley Benson, by way of ABC Family, all have history with The Mouse), we're not expecting the movie to be anything like the shiny, sparkly happy endings we're used to watching these ladies act out. On the contrary, we're expecting something much closer to director Harmony Korine's first forays into film-making: Kids and Gummo. The reality of just how gritty some of our favorite on-screen good girls become for this film has been a slow reveal. Between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle tees and motorized scooters on-set and cheeky swimsuit snaps in magazine promo shots, the film's leading ladies have generally kept their Spring Break steez off the red carpet (Exhibit A: the cast's glamorous and ladylike Venice togs). That is, until now. Judging from Ashley, Selena, Vanessa, and Rachel Korine's Paris premiere ensembles, it looks like the girls are starting to rep Spring Break skin on the step-and-repeats, as well!
