If you want to see dudes draped in lace and fringed body-con dresses (I mean, why wouldn't you?), you needn't look further than London Collections: Men. This biannual fashion fest showcases the best of British menswear, giving designers the opportunity to debut their trendiest, most envelope-pushing looks. Those lucky enough to attend the Spring/Summer '15 edition of LC:M (June 15-17) get to check out everything from tailored suits to Japanese-inspired mankinis. Meanwhile, I passed a shirtless man wearing flip-flops and jorts on my sidewalk this morning—but their way sounds cool too, I guess.
It can be admittedly hard to digest some of London Collections' avant-garde styles, so we decided to use our trusty Fashion Math method to break down this season's crazier looks. Enjoy!

Considering we're in the throes of a polar vortex, looking at clothing for next autumn/winter may seem unappealing. We prefer shorts and bathing suits and clothing that makes us believe it will be warm again, not sweaters that make it seem like winter will last forever. Fashion doesn't adhere to our feelings though, and Fashion Week is starting up again, kicking off in London with men's collections. Though these clothes are technically for next fall, there are a few trends we found that we're not sure we'll be seeing at all. Ever.

Weirdly enough, two different designers had models walk out with Mickey Mouse ears. "MICKEY IS HUGE FOR FALL 2014, TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!"—people in the fashion world (or so I imagine). MAN attached Mickey's iconic ears to a baseball cap and accessorized it with something you'd likely find in a dentist's office/nightmares, while Kate Eary constructed a plastic Mickey mask, complete with a red mohawk. I'm pretty sure this would not fly on the subway.
Truth be told, it's HARD to dress well in the summer. We want our outfit to be cute but not totally sweat-inducing, and when it comes to dudes, it's not much different. I mean, how many more sweltering months will have to endure spotting the dreaded tee and jorts combo all over Brooklyn? *winces* Well, hopefully not much longer thanks to the men's fashion experts over at Mr Porter. They showed us the ins and outs of hot (heh) summer duds with the help of The Vampire Diaries' Paul Wesley. Me-owww. They styled the actor in some seriously stunning ensembles that we want out boyfriends (and BFFs!) to cop ASAP. First up—kelly green pants by Jil Sander! I know it sounds crazy, but bright colored trousers are a super simple way to transform a typical outfit to totally head-turning look. Also, hai color blocking, only THE biggest trend happening right now. Think of the possibilities! Paul styled his bold pants with a black and white striped A.P.C. sweater and a breezy combed-back 'do. For a more dressed-up look, Paul sported a white Acne tee under a sleek gray Carven jacket, and cork wedge Burberry Prorsum lace-ups.
