When Demi Lovato speaks up about confidence and overcoming adversity, people listen. That's probably why Seventeen picked her as the cover star AND guest editor for their August 2014 issue. No matter how busy Demi is—be it serving as Grand Marshall of the L.A. Pride Parade or heading to tonight's Trailblazers Awards (airing June 26, 9 p.m. EST on Logo)—her position as an outspoken role model always remains her #1 priority. (Side note: Can we consider for a moment how she is only 21 years old? I can't even deal.)
Demi Lovato can rock a smoky eye or a statement lip with the best of 'em—and often does—but the girl doesn't need a 24/7 makeup artist to look *flawless*. Yesterday, she posted (yet another!) inspiring makeup-free selfie for us all to collectively gasp and obsess over. Those brows! That skin! THOSE FRECKLES! It's almost too much to take.

Can you imagine being charged with inspiring and entertaining 400,000 people AND looking fabulous AF while doing it? Well, that's exactly what Demi Lovato's duties as Grand Marshall of the L.A. Pride Parade entailed, and she made it look like the most fun and natural job in the world.
During the Sunday afternoon festivities, Demi sang and danced while crowds flooded the streets to cheer her on. Her performance of "Really Don't Care" was energetic and upbeat, but her black suit gave off something a bit more serious (and borderline S&M).
Yeah, I don't look like this at 4 a.m.

We knew Demi Lovato was the queen of no-makeup selfies and of changing her hair color, but we didn't know she was so skilled at combining two of the things she's best at. Demi posted this picture of her new purple-and-silver ombre hair and captioned it, "No makeup.. 4am..." No makeup AND new hair? That's a lot for one selfie, Demi. The new color comes after almost two months of brunette locks–while she looks great with every color (and she's done a lot), we've missed her bolder color choices. She made her big return with not only one color that doesn't grow out of heads naturally, but two.

Demi Lovato is celebrating the #Demiversary (one year anniversary, natch) of the release of her last album, Demi, and has big plans for the next month, including new videos and live performances. She just released footage of her Neon Lights Tour in the form of a performance of "Neon Lights," in which we get to see some of her tour wardrobe and, most important, IMHO, how her pink hair looked up on stage. Guess what? No surprise—it looked incredible.
The video was obviously shot towards the end of the tour—Demi has her half-shaved scalp—and between her hair color, style, and embellished coat, she looks pretty tough up there. She also has leather leggings on, which just, like, knocks the entire look out of the park.
Demi's Brazilian selfie.

As we all know, Demi Lovato's no-makeup selfie game is on point. Well, she just threw another photo into her flawless collection, but it's actually, um, not her face we're focusing on. Demi uploaded this picture to Instagram with the caption "When in Brazil..." When in Brazil, do what, Demi? Take photos with the sun streaming in? Lay on a beach chair because it's warm?
Then we realized the caption involves more clues: a bikini emoji, a sun, and a heart. Wait. She's wearing a bikini and in Brazil. Brazilian bikini bottoms are famously tiny. Demi is showing off her Brazilian bikini bottom (and butt, LBR) in this photo! A full-body shot is a challenging angle to make work, as far as selfies go. Props, Demi, your selfie game is even stronger than we thought.
Demi Lovato on the cover of 'Cosmopolitan for Latinas.'

Demi Lovato has already had quite an eventful 2014. We can't get enough of her ever-changing hairstyles or fierce Neon Lights Tour, and it seems we're not alone. For the summer issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas, Demi was dubbed "Fun, Fearless Latina of the Year"—congrats, girl! We can't think of anyone more worthy. Demi looks absolutely gorgeous and dolled up on the cover (love those bird tats on display!), but we have a feeling she grabbed her makeup remover as soon as the shoot was over. “I feel sexiest when I’m comfortable," Demi told Cosmo. "This means when I’m in my element onstage, and also when I’m wearing a T-shirt, jeans, my leather jacket, and no makeup!” She IS the master of the no-makeup selfie, after all.
She woke up like dis.

Not too long ago Demi Lovato was changing her hair as fast as she changed outfits. She was blonde, blue, pink, back to brunette, and then buzzed on the side like Skrillex. Nowadays, she’s all about the natural look and to prove it, Demi posted a no-makeup selfie to Instagram with the caption “I woke up like dis…..at 4 pm.” Yonce would be proud.
Demi Lovato' hair: before and after.

Demi Lovato has undergone a lot of hair changes in the past few months. First, she traded in her blonde hair for bright blue. Her blue 'do got its 15 seconds on the cover of Nylon, but it wasn't long until she moved on to bright pink hair for her Neon Lights Tour. Then, out of seemingly nowhere, Demi went and Skrillexed herself. She buzzed a chunk of hair above her left ear off, posted the photo to Instagram, and captioned it "Oops?"
It's safe to say when it comes to Demi and her hair, we expect the unexpected. But this new change is one we suuuriously didn't see coming. After teasing her new hair on Twitter for, like, four hours, Demi finally revealed the big news—she's back to brunette.
The Neon Lights Tour just got cray—Demi Lovato buzzed off some of her hair, y'all. Demi has always played around with her hair, from bright blue to bright pink tresses and, like, everything in between, so we're used to seeing Demi with a new 'do on a pretty frequent basis. What we weren't expecting, though, was for her next hair move to be sheering it off. And it's not just a tiny part above her ear—it's a CHUNK, and it's cut very close.
