MTV Movie Awards 2014, Rita Ora

Last night at the MTV Movie Awards, Rita Ora was responsible for probably our #1 fave show moment. Here's a hint: muscles. Here's another hint: Zac Efron. OK, yes, it was when Rita ripped Zac's shirt off. Snap buttons are the best invention, right? Before she was inches away from Zac's bare bod, Rita had to get ready for the show, and we snagged some behind-the-scenes photos. Just think, as she was getting her makeup done, she had no idea she'd soon be lauded as a hero. What a world.

Rita Ora #werks.

With all of her time spent on and around runways, Rita Ora is pretty much a pro at walking with ~style~. It makes sense, then, that walking is the focus of Rita's new Funny or Die video, co-starring Korean pop star HyunA. We had no idea that Rita was skilled in so many walks, let alone that so many walks exist in this world. In the video, dubbed “Girl, You Better Walk,” Rita pulls out a whopping 10 different walks. SPOILER ALERT: Sadly, none of them were taught to her by RuPaul, the godfather of the catwalk, whose song “Super Model (You Better Work)” is name-checked in the clip’s title. Oh, what a video that would've been.

The topless trend is becoming so mainstream these days, it's a wonder designers even bother making shirts anymore. The latest "It" Girl to jump on the semi-nude bandwagon? Rita Ora on this month's cover of Elle UK. The British singer clearly doesn't need fancy clothes to look totally gorgeous, as she appears in nothing more than a pink Dior skirt and a Cartier bracelet. She is forced to share the spotlight with one other pretty gal, however—"Rosetta," her detailed ribcage tattoo.

Despite the fact that Rita Ora has been seemingly everywhere over the past few months—on the runways, on the cover of magazines, working with Rimmel, DKNY, and Adidas, and filming 50 Shades of Grey—we were starting to really miss her, music-wise. It’s been two years since she released her debut album, Ora, but now we finally have a taste of what the follow-up is going to sound like, and brace yourselves, Ritabots, it’s good. In the video for the lead single “I Will Never Let You Down,” which just dropped today, Rita delivers her catchiest song yet, a pure pop love song adorably penned by her BF Calvin Harris. Of course, this being a Rita Ora video, there’s a lot of killer clothes involved, so let’s get into it!

Our first shot of Rita is a tasteful black-and-white headshot just being developed. If you’ve seen One Direction’s "Story of My Life" video, you already know what happens next: She starts singing! But unlike 1D, the vibe of Rita’s animated photos is more early ‘90s and ties into the song’s throwback sound, which, Calvin Harris told Paper, was inspired by Whitney Houston.

Rita Ora's brand new Paper Magazine cover (for their "Beautiful People Issue," because duh) might just have to get framed and put on my nightstand. In fact, the entire photo spread is pretty stellar, from lace dresses to a seriously epic Dolce & Gabbana crown. The interview with Rita's BFF Nick Grimshaw also showed off her fun and adorkable side, but the usually loquacious star was a little bit guarded on a few select topics. IDK about you, but I was personally left with some lingering questions that I need to bring to the table.

1. Wait. What is Naomi Campbell REALLY like??

Rita semi-jokes about being besties with Naomi Campbell, divulging that the supermodel served as her impromptu mentor during Milan Fashion Week. But after talking Naomi up, Rita tells Grimshaw, "She was being major, but you know what that's like. I'll talk to you about it later when we're not being recorded." Ummm...what?? C'mon Rita, we want all the Noxzema-wearing deets! But also, good for you for not being a gossip monger. (I guess. Sigh.)

IT'S HEE-RREE! That's right, Ritabots. After almost six months of waiting, guessing, and drooling, we've finally gotten our first full glimpse of the ad campaign for Rita Ora's long-anticipated collaboration with Rimmel London. Yesterday, Ora Instagrammed the world exclusive editorial spread to her loyal fans, and despite the frigid temps (on the East Coast, at least *scowls at California*), we can officially confirm that spring has sprung—and it's going to be a bright one.

Attention, up-and-coming female musicians: There's a new standard for "making it," and it ain't playing a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. (Although, that's probably not a bad indication, either.) Just like Angel Haze before her and Iggy Azalea predating that (AND the incomparable Grace Jones ahead of them all), Rita Ora made a surprise appearance at Philipp Plein's runway show yesterday, providing the live soundtrack for his "American Dream"-themed Fall 2014 collection.

Ora emerged on the stage from a custom-made, black matte El Camino, wearing a black, ruffled, high-low skirt (#RitasLeftLeg), a sweater with a gold braided band, and a gold studded ten-gallon hat and matching studded cowboy boots. And while her entire outfit was no doubt provided by the designer himself, Ora got SERIOUSLY hooked up with those boots—which, at the time of her show-opening performance, hadn't even gone down the runway yet. (But when they did, NAOMI CAMPBELL was rocking them in silver.)

Fashion Week

As you may have concluded from our coverage over the weekend, New York Fashion Week marched along on Saturday and Sunday. It's Fashion Week, as in seven days, and not just the work week of regular ol' Joes. There were a ton of shows over the weekend, including DKNY, Christian Siriano, and Diane von Furstenberg, so celeb sightings were at an all-time high.

Hey, #RITABOTS! Consider your uniform (almost) complete. Yesterday, Rita Ora's new Material Girl campaign dropped, providing us with some graphic-print goodness for our spring wardrobe. Today, Ora decided to give us a sneak peek of her upcoming Rimmel London campaign, which pretty much gives us the icing on our sartorial cake (i.e. lipstick).

With her platinum bob tussled into chunky waves, Ora flashes a perfect pout in a deep crimson color that better be included in her upcoming collection for the British beauty brand. We got a brief glimpse of the line back in October, when Rita shared some BTS snaps from her shoot and a quick look at the chubby lipstick "crayons" she created for her debut makeup collaboration.

If you're in major need of a pick-me-up on this icy day, might we suggest peeping Rita Ora's brand new Material Girl campaign? (The polar vortex better watch its back, because these pics are HOT.) While the Fall 2013 campaign for Madonna's clothing line with her daughter, Lola, featured Rita posted up alongside prominent London landmarks, the Spring 2014 portfolio is all about Miami! Rita shows off the new collection as she struts down Ocean Drive and leans on vintage cars, and the clothes definitely reflect her summery attitude.

I love these two as a couple. What a festive way to celebrate two important events in their life. Mariah looks like a dream.
