Who Wore It Better? Olivia Palermo Or Kim Kardashian's Lace Preen Dress

Lingerie as outerwear was a huge trend for spring, and The City's Olivia Palermo and Kim Kardashian both knew it. The two ladies scooped up the same lace dress by Preen, a label designed by Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi. Olivia wore the dress (a runway version, as Red Carpet Fashion Awards points out) backstage at New York Fashion Week on February 12, and made the see-through garment more modest by wearing it over a satin camisole and black leggings. Kim skipped layering and went for a more provocative look when she hosted the Beach Bunny swimwear fashion show in Miami on July 16. Kim's is a little different — it has cloth panels on the front, so it's not entirely transparent in the woohoo area. And, just so you know what the going rate is, a similar dress by the designer is $1,695 at Blue & Cream online.

As for a favorite? We know we're shocking ourselves here, but we're loving how this looks on Kim more than Olivia. Olivia treated it as an oversize tank top, which it's clearly not, while Kim kept her look simple and vivacious.
