One of the items we've spotted on every hot style star, from Kim Kardashian to Whitney Port to Lauren Conrad, is a cool, military utility cargo jacket. Why is this topper such a wardrobe staple? Because it's perfect for transitional fall weather. But there are so many ways to wear it! That's why we hit up some of our favorite style blogs for tips on how to style this versatile coat. Bloggers Amanda Negrito of The Upside Of Wonder, Julia Leung of Just Like Judas and Christina Brown of LoveBrownSugar showed us some ideas. Read on for more.

Blogger Amanda Negrito demonstrated the girly side of army green. She took a flowy lace dress from Charlotte Russe and added a thick button-down ThreadSense top which doubles as a light coat, and finished her outfit with casual booties from Target. Her military topper is great add-on that's perfect for when you need a minor adjustment as temperatures change, like in her native Texas. It's amazing how one piece transforms a simple loose dress into a totally different look.

Let's not forget that sometimes a jacket isn't just for fashion — though, it's a fun part of it — and when it's the dead of winter, the best way to face the elements is to bundle up. That's why we love Julia Leung's DKNY coat. It stays true to the utility jacket trend, but offers a more seasonally appropriate approach, perfect for braving wind, snow, and bone-chilling temps. The New York-based blogger also topped the look with a scarf from Forever 21, which is cute and warm, like her jacket.

New York City blogger Christina Brown took on the urban trendsetter look with her entire outfit, including her vintage military jacket. With this look, she wore her jacket as she would a blazer, which means on top of an already-amazing outfit. H&M leggings, a chainlink purse, and Anne Michelle chunky booties complete the sleekness of her outfit overall, while her jacket's light green hue adds just a pop of color.
