Looks like Kanye West isn't the only music superstar to be showing for the first time at this year's New York Fashion Week. According to Fashionista, punk-pop princess Avril Lavigne will be presenting her line Abbey Dawn on the catwalk Monday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. at Style 360-Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC.
Until now, Abbey Dawn was sold exclusively at Kohl's and consisted of mainly casualwear, tees, hoodies, etc., plus a few select accessories. With the upcoming presentation, the "Complicated" songstress will show a fully expanded line of dresses, denim skirts, footwear, handbags, wallets, purses, eyewear, AND (get this) a full men's collection as well. Phew! *wipes sodden brow* Just looking at that laundry list of new goodies is giving me agita. I can't imagine having to actually PRODUCE them...On TOP of promoting an album and shooting music videos and writing songs for pop stars and making out with Brody Jenner. And as someone who was toootally persuaded by Avril to wear DIY studded ties to school and cut the feet off my striped knee socks to wear as arm-warmers with tank tops, mark my words, I would NOT underestimate the power of whatever Abbey Dawn has in store for NYFW.
