We spy a family feud! No, we're not talking about all those fights you had over the holidays with your siblings—we're talking about sisters Elle and Dakota Fanning BOTH flashing their faces on the February covers of two huge mags. Younger sis Elle Fanning covers Teen Vogue, while Dakota dons the front of Elle UK. We love both of the fresh-faced blonde beauties' fearless approach to fashion shoots, but we NEED to proclaim a winner. Why? Because we can, duhhhh. Elle rocks a sleeveless red lace Miu Miu dress on Teen Vogue paired with long, no-nonsense flowing locks, natural makeup, thick black lashes, and a cute-to-boot smile. Dakota went a bit more sultry for her cover—she sports a pink, lace-collared Louis Vuitton spring/summer 2012 dress, a deep-parted barrel-curled bob paired with a swipe of goldish-brown eyeshadow, a crimson red matte lip and matching nails. Judging just by the covers, it's already a close match! Do we love Elle's approachable, all-American look or Dakota's come-hither beauty game? I think we need to peep their fashion spreads to declare a winner!
Inside Elle's Teen Vogue cover shoot we find one 'dorbs springy frock after another! She's all smiles in a bright pink Carven dress and Miu Miu heels, pretty as a princess in a sparkly Louis Vuitton tiara and bouffant in a Valentino frock, and a smoldering beach babe in a bow-tied bandana and ruffly Bebe top. And while Dakota's spread isn't out JUST yet, we watched her behind-the-scenes video and still got the ENTIRE fashion-y vibe she's going for. She looks '50s-housewife chic in a hot rod emblazoned pencil skirt paired with a tucked-in printed top, a low-cut pale pink lace button halter dress and jacket, and a pleated pink, black, and turquoise dress. Dang, do we have to pick a winner? (We totally brought this on ourselves, didn't we?) OK, OK. *drum roll* This may be cheating, but we think they both nailed it! Dakota ROCKED the cover with her show-stopping stare, but Elle worked all her cute ensembles inside the spread. Looks like both sisters are perfect in their OWN way—even though inside the Elle UK interview Dakota says she wishes she could be more like her little sis. Awww, sisterly love.
