Rihanna sure knows how to make a tribute, doesn't she? Fresh off her white knuckle "Thug Life" tattoos, she's already paying homage to yet another late great. This time, Ri lends a celebratory nod toward the life and memory of Michael Jackson at the grand opening of Cirque du Soleil's "Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour" and does it in a saucy head-to-toe leather ensemble.
We haven't seen this kind of exemplary display of leather-on-leather since Justin Bieber showed up to The Tonight Show in a tanned hide tux shirt and skinny tie, like a walking (and squeaking) "Ode to the Leatherman." But Bieber's commitment to the leather look is totally one-upped by Rihanna here. She doesn't stop at the top half like The Biebs and adds a pair of Helmut Lang leather skinnies to her gorgeous hand-painted Claire Barrow moto jacket.
She finishes the outfit off with a pair of Christian Louboutin Lady Max T-Strap sandals with spike details that scream, "I'M BAD!" She's just a patent bow headband shy of truly dipping herself in head-to-toe leather, but this pair of cat-eye sunnies has a suspiciously matte black finish that could potentially fit the bill. While we would have loved to see RiRi resurrect this extremely Michael-esque denim Balmain band jacket, we definitely love this all-leather look.
