Move over '90s floral prints, there's a new guy in town. This season is filled with tons of tropical-inspired designs, which includes everything from Hawaiian prints to palm leaves. The first tropical prints appeared in Stella McCartney's spring 2012 line AND in the highly sought-after Versace for H&M collection. Since then, we've seen the design take over large retailers like Topshop and ASOS, and it's showing no signs of slowing. We found three bloggers who sported tropical prints in oh-so-cool ways that we NEED to try ASAP. See? Hawaiian prints aren't just for your dad's button up shirts anymore!
Sietske L. of Connected To Fashion
Blog: connectedtofashion.creatorsofdesire.com. Twitter: @Sietske_L.
Sietske hails from the Netherlands and kiiiind of really amazes us. Her outfits are always simple and classic with just a touch of edginess that makes us go crazy. Here, she wears a mirrored floral Zara shirt (which we also own, NBD), coated COS black jeans, a black men's H&M cap, low-top black Converse sneakers, and an Olive Clothing watch. Sietske made Hawaiian print look SO cool, and we love that!
Camille Co of It's Camille Co
Blog: itscamilleco.com. Twitter: @itscamilleco.
Camille nails the totally-cute-with-a-sophisticated-twist look time after time. She took a Versace for H&M tropical print pleated skirt and paired it with a yellow H&M knit tank over a black bra. For accessories, she added some bright red Sunglasses Shop sunnies, a gold SM Accessories statement necklace, a gold and black Zara belt with a matching studded YSL bag, and black, gray, and beige color-block Feet For A Queen wedges.
Valerie Schroots of It's Like Passion For Peanut Butter
Blog: itislikepassionforpeanutbutter.blogspot.com. Twitter: @valerieschroots.
Valerie is also a Netherlands-based blogger who always has the most killer street style. She too got in on the Versace for H&M action and snatched up these uh-mazing red tropical print pants. She toned down the brightness of her bottoms with a gray Zara sweater, white tee, and Gio-Goi leather jacket, and added a touch of luxe to her look by wrapping a fur collar around her neck. For a pop of neon, she sported florescent yellow laces in her Nike sneakers and matched her nails to complete the ensemble. Perfect!
