OK, I think we can officially deem this the year of Miley Cyrus. In 2012 alone, the singer chopped her hair off, annouced an engagement, and, just this week, got inked up! She stepped out from her yoga class yesterday sporting a fresh tattoo on her left forearm, and when we took a closer look, we realized it was actually a quote from former president Theodore Roosevelt. Wut. It reads, "So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat." We don't want to get all history teacher on y'all, but this is from Mr. Roosevelt's Citizenship in a Republic speech from 1910, and was also a favorite passage of Richard Nixon. Whew, AND YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS A FASHION BLOG. #historylesson
Also, did you guys know this is Miley's FIFTEENTH tattoo? Yeah, we're not making this up. Other than the dream catcher on her ribcage, this miighhhttt be Miley's biggest tat yet, and we're into it. We totally think this tattoo fits with Miley's style (which we lovingly call "badass boho chic"), but is anyone else super surprised that a bride-to-be would get such a large tattoo right before the big day? It's a bold move, but Miley is known for her statement-making ensembles! Tell us—what do you think of Miley's new ink?
