Along with a GRIP of other big name musicians and Hollywood heavyweights, Kanye West hit the Madison Square Garden stage last night for "12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief." Yeezy represented for hip hop with a 12-song set, starting with "Clique" and following up with one crowd-pleaser after another including "Gold Digger," "All of the Lights," and "Jesus Walks." It wasn't Ye's impenetrable commitment to performance that had everyone talking, though, so much as his performance ensemble. He wore a leather pleated Givenchy skirt over leather leggings, and while Kanye wearing a skirt, of leather or not, isn't that new of a thing for us here at MTV Style, it certainly raised some eyebrows among the 12-12-12 Concert audience.

It's a fashion-forward look for sure, and it's probably going to rub a few people the wrong way. But ask yourself something: when was the last time Kanye gave you the impression he was dressing for anyone but himself? Frankly, our interest is actually peaked by the hoodie he wore on stage last night. Yeezy paired his leather kilt and pants with a black Pyrex Vision hoodie straight out of Virgil Abloh's brand new Pyrex Vision collection. The Religion Hood Kanye sported last night and around 25 other spring/summer 2013 pieces have hit Virgil's RSVP Gallery retailer. Additionally, with much of the Pyrex Vision look book video not only modeled but reportedly styled by members of the A$AP Mob, we can't WAIT to see who is going to be wearing this next! #DONDA #BEEN #TRILL
