Here's the thing—we LOVE when Rihanna and Kanye West dress alike. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, our hearts explode with happiness—we're just that into the whole Ri-Ye twinsie thing. In late 2011, the stylin' twosome sported a similar (see: the exact same) Givenchy rottweiler graphic tee paired with a varsity jacket and leather pants, and just recently, they dressed alike again—this time wearing (wait for it) metal patchwork sweatpants. And, no, we don't mean metal as in the compound that's great at conducting electricity, we mean music, y'all! Like, Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden—you know the drill. We first spotted 'Ye showing off his love for heavy metal back in October when he sported his sweats with a black tee, motorcycle jacket and signature Air Yeezy 2s.
Back then, we were baffled by the faux-metal patches, as they didn't represent actual bands we've ever heard of, but we dug a little deeper to find out these pants are from the British brand Kokon to Zai's spring/summer 2013 line. Their entire metalhead-meets-high-school-jock collection is covered in patchwork pieces (LOVE!), which seemed to catch the eye of Rihanna as well. She wore the same black sweats as Kanye, but decided to pair them with a matching KTZ tank, backward hat, choker chain necklace, quilted leather cuff, stacked bracelets, black and white striped clutch, and white stiletto pumps. For her beauty look, she sported deep-parted waves with a matte burgundy lip and beige nails. Between both looks, we have to go with Ri only because she went all the way with her metal patchwork ensemble (and accessorized to the max!), but honestly, though, we give major props to anyone that can successfully wear sweatpants out in public. Three cheers for Ri-Ye!
