Diana Agron, Zosia Mamet, and Alexa Chung at the premiere of 'These Girls'.
Last night, a group of rad ladies got together at the request of Glamour magazine to perform a series of monologues called "These Girls" at New York City's Joe's Pub. The group, which included Dianna Agron, Zosia Mamet, Alexa Chung, Emma Roberts and more, touched on everything from the internet, to bullying, to boys and everything in between. While we're dying to hear each of the girls' monologues for ourselves, we're also totally jaws-to-the-floor over their classically elegant outfits. Springtime is often an occasion for light, airy, colorful frocks, but Dianna, Zosia, and Alexa all opted to play with monochrome and textures in their still seasonally appropriate ensembles, a move which we think really worked.
Dianna Agron was probably the most classic of the bunch, in an ultra-ladylike Valentino cocktail dress featuring a sheer bib neckline and short sleeves. She kept her beauty look elegant and just a little bit old fashioned with an up-do and pointed toe pumps. Zosia Mamet, who read a monologue about technology and anxiety (can we ever relate?), put a springtime twist on all-black leather in a quilted leather mini and classic moto jacket, spiced up with a blue abstract patterned button up. Part Mad Men, part punk rock, Zosia's look was just the right balance of cute and tough. Finally, Alexa Chung was the perfect combination of Diana and Zosia, in a black crocheted sheath with white taffeta detailing on the sleeves and neckline. Black and white, sleek and embellished, the dress reflected her personality to a T. Alexa's story may have been horrifying— she recalled dealing with horrible social media repercussions after a bad breakup— but at least she looked gorgeous reading it.
