Jennifer Lawrence on the November cover of Vogue UK.

It's undeniable: Jennifer Lawrence has made it. She's been nominated for an Oscar (for her role as Ree in Winter's Bone), been in a gigantic hit movie, and even has a Barbie made in her likeness--if that's not success we really don't know what is. But up until now, guess what? She's never been on the cover of any version of Vogue magazine. Sure, she's done W, Rolling Stone, and yes, appeared in a spread in the American edition of Vogue, but never the cover. It's all gonna change when the November issue of Vogue UK is released, with Lawrence absolutely killing the cover shot. Wearing an ornate black and white, body con dress, loose waves and orangey red lipstick, Lawrence looks much more relaxed than she did on her futuristic bird themed W cover, but still looks 100% as glamorous.

Taylor Swift at Elie Saab at Paris Fashion Week.
Photo: Getty

We've really got to hand it to Taylor Swift: girl has the demure, lady-like look down PAT. She manages to look elegant and girly without ever looking dowdy or like she's playing dress up, which is unfortunately the trap we see a lot of girls fall into when they're trying out classic looks. It might just be because she's so consistent that she's really figured out what works on her and how to rock it. However, this also means that she can switch up her standby's, changing one aspect of her usual look, and it's super surprising, even though everything else is still in her safe zone. We're referring, of course, to Taylor's usual color palette of red and white. She switched up her look at this year's VMA's by wearing a perfectly tailored white J. Mendel suit, and now she's been switching it up in Paris by wearing dresses in her go-to A-line, but in the most insanely flattering shade of bluebell. For Elie Saab's spring 2013 show, Taylor wore a dress, by Saab of course, in said blue, featuring a high neck, super youthful short sleeves, a waist accentuating fitted bodice with ribbon detailing and a just-above the knee hemline. Paired with some killer greige peep toe sandals, loose waves and her signature red lip, dark eyeliner combo, Taylor looks just like herself, but with the tiniest twist.

Joan Smalls, Sky Ferreira, and Karlie Kloss at Carine Roitfeld and MAC's Le Bal in Paris.
Photo: Getty

Oh what we would give to have been in Paris last night, even just a fly on the wall at Carine Roitfeld and MAC's Le Bal last night? MTV Style was in the house, with our House of Style hosts Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls looking INCREDIBLE (but is that really a surprise *hair toss*), though, so we can't say we totally missed out, but still. We wonder if there was a dress code in effect because the theme of the night was definitely all black everything. You can count on the high fashion set to take something simple and work it out, though, because this black was most certainly not even close to basic. Joan went sheer with her black, wearing a long, filmy gown with strategically placed embellishments, sleek, center parted hair, and the night's other necessary look: a super smokey eye. That last part should come as no surprise, as smudged kohl is one of Carine's signature looks, and this was her party, after all. Sky Ferreira took a different tack with her all black, wearing a super 90's short sleeved turtleneck (the trend continues!), A-line skirt in what is either velvet or sateen, a wide belt at her waist and her signature super bleached-out hair messy and parted deep on the side. Sky's beauty look was still based around a smudgy black eye, but unlike Joan, who paired hers with a nude lip, Sky went with a punch bowl pout, looking like she had moments before been eating a cherry popsicle. Karlie's look was something akin to a Parisian warrior, in a high-necked dress with a perfectly placed slit up and gorgeous geometric cut outs. Karlie kept her lips bare like Joan, but went for a side part, adding that Parisian, "oh this old thing?" flair that's so totally irresistible.

One of Laura Willis' expertly styled costumes for Target.
Photo: Target

If you're a vintage fashion fiend and have ever visited New York City, there's a good chance one of your first stops was Screaming Mimi's in NoHo. The eclectic village boutique offers expertly curated vintage wares making it one of those stores that you enter and leave three hours late in a euphoric fashion daze. And that's just for most of the year. If you're planning a trip to Screaming Mimi's, as the name might suggest, the best time to go is around Halloween. The shop's owner, Laura Willis, is the queen of Halloween, and decks out the bright exterior of her shop with heart-stoppingly elaborate window displays that would put the winner of any costume contest to shame. It's only natural, therefore, that when Target was looking to add a little stylish flair to their Halloween lookbook they would enlist Willis, and that she, in turn, would create amazing, totally prize-worthy costumes from just what the store already had in their stock.

lena dunham asos

Lena Dunham in ASOS Magazine.
Photo: ASOS

Anyone who is acting like it's any big surprise that Lena Dunham gives great face in the latest edition of ASOS magazine is just plain silly, because we've known she was basically the coolest for a while now. The 26 year old renaissance woman (I mean, writer/director/actress kind of qualifies, right? Or maybe triple threat would be more appropriate?) has taken the world by storm this year with her HBO smash Girls, which we usually love but sometimes hate because it's a liiiiittle too close to our own lives in New York (but we still love it, even then). But all that aside, Lena looks super cute running around the streets of Brooklyn in a-line skirts, adorable embellished collars, acid washed denim, and saddle shoes. It's basically a fall trend feast, brought to you by ASOS. Before we max out our credit cards getting ourselves suited up to reenact the shoot (where can one get balloons shaped like dogs wearing bandanas?), we just wanted to squeal over this spread a little more. Check out more photos after the jump, and see what Lena has to say about her own fashion sense.

Liz Lee showing off some of her EBay wares.

Not only are they super fun, but they also show the clothes in action, which is super important and basically the thing that's missing when shopping online. Well, Liz Lee knows our pain, which is why she has given MTV Style exclusive gifs from her shoot for her eBay store (launched today!) The.Grays. She's selling everything from limited edition Black Milk bathing suits and leggings, vintage starter jackets (GET AT US), Jeffrey Campbells, vintage boots and denim, and TONS more. She will be adding items throughout the day, so keep checking back as more and more awesomeness goes up. Need even more incentive? kiernan shipka hailee steinfeld teen vogue

Kiernan Shipka and Hailee Steinfeld channeling Peter Pan with their collars at Teen Vogue's Young Holywood party.
Photo: Getty

Let us tell you: we've seen the future of Hollywood, and it's bright. Not to say that there aren't some promising young actresses in the older half of the "young Hollywood designation," but we sincerely think that there are a few 16 and unders who are poised to give even older actresses a run for their money. Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka and True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld are two of the most exciting young whippersnappers making their mark on movies and TV these days. Add to their jaw dropping acting chops the fact that both these young ladies are also budding fashion plates and what you have is a recipe for MTV Style to plant ourselves firmly in their corners, forever. Hailee is the face of Miu Miu and took a turn as a fashion correspondent for Teen Vogue at this year's New York Fashion Week. Kiernan is quickly becoming a red carpet favorite and showed off her formidable closet to Harper's Bazaar earlier this year. With a combined age of less that 30--Kiernan is 12, Hailee 14--these two young a-listers are undeniable. At Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood party, they embodied yet another of the traits that we love about them: while both are sophisticated and meticulous dressers, they always wear age appropriate, fun dresses, experimenting with trends and high fashion while still sticking firmly in the realm of (really fancy) kid-dom. On last night's red carpet, both girls wore Peter Pan collars, one of our favorite trends for fall. Kiernan went the traditional route, with a collared cocktail dress, while Hailee Steinfeld decided to switch up the trend in a detachable metal collar. Will we be able to decide who wore it better? See for yourself after the jump.

Michael Jackson rehearsing for the 1995 MTV VMAs.
Photo: Getty

In Michael Jackson's groundbreaking video for "Black Or White" he used a technology known as "morphing" to seamlessly transition from one face to another. When the video was released in 1991, this was cutting-edge film making, and that, coupled by Jackson's enormous star power, let the video to be one of the most-watched video premieres of all time. Technology has come a long was since the 90's, however, and we now have digital means to "morph" faces without having to go through all of the steps we used to. This is the technology that was used to create a new tribute to Jackson's "Bad," which is celebrating its 25th birthday this year (it was released on August 31, 1987). In the video, 1000 Michael Jackson fans of all shapes, ages, and sizes were recruited to perform the song while wearing shirts featuring Jackson. When the frames were edited together, the t-shirt Jackson dances like he did in the video, creating an effect where the fans and Jackson are almost dancing together. We love a good old classic Youtube tribute--you know the ones, photos of an artist slowly fading into one another while a song plays--but this is by far the best artist tribute we've seen so far. The video was, in fact, produced by Sony Japan, who picked through over 30,000 fans to pick the final thousand for the clip.

& Other Stories atelier will be the more luxe version of H&M.
Photo: Courtesy of H&M

First of all, can we let out a collective petulant foot stomp, pout, and arm-cross for the fact that H&M is holding back online sales for the United States? We were so excited when we heard that we would be able to shop without leaving our beds/houses/desks (not that we EVER shop at work) this fall, just in time for the retailer's collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela, but we've learned that, alas, our dreams of lazy consumerism have been dashed, and online retail won't be available until next year. Before we run off to get in line for the MMM collab (months early, if that's what it takes *straps on fashion sleeping bag and backpack*), we do have some good news, though. The European retailer has announced the launch of another brand, this time with a higher price point and more luxe spin than it's sister stores H&M and COS, and this time, for women only. The brand, called & Other Stories, is designed for a woman who cares deeply about fashion, and wants to meticulously create her entire look.

Sarah Jessica Parker's big reveal on Glee.
Photo: Fox

When we heard that someone would be portraying a Vogue editor on Glee, of course our mind immediately started spinning. Who could it be? What actress could possibly fill Anna Wintour's impossibly chic shoes (besides, obvs, Meryl Streep, our all time fave Anna impersonator)? Why, Sarah Jessica Parker, of course! The veteran actress, is a stranger neither to singing (she got her start on Broadway!) nor to the hallowed halls of the legendary fashion magazine. In her role as Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, Parker wrote for Vogue, and some of our favorite episodes took place there. In her episode of Glee, she plays the editor of Vogue.com, who is interviewing Kurt, played by Chris Colfer, for an internship. We have a sneaking suspicion that her portrayal is going to be pretty far off from the icy, tough editrix Meryl portrayed in The Devil Wears Prada. In fact, from the promo video below, SJP's editor seems positively, well, sweet.
