Kanye West and fashion go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. Like pyramid grommets and slouchy ankle boots. Like a February movie release and a well-timed nudie pic scandal of its third-tier female supporting actress. Basically, the two are very much sympatico. And while Kanye's clothing ventures have had false starts, like the inconsistently released and killed-off-only-to-be-resurrected sportswear line Pastelle, are alright, according to Grazia, there are rumors swirling that Mr. West has enlisted some serious guns to consult on a new line. The mind squad are rumored to be the Alexa Chung cosigned designer Louise Goldin and a legendary professor at the esteemed British temple of sartorial matriculation, Central St. Martins, Louise Wilson.

No reports on whether or not he'll be taking a stab at menswear or women's, but judging from the elbows he's been rubbing since his meteoric upshot (well, maybe it's more like across) to the Front Row, this unveiling will definitely be one to watch. Makes our blogging fingers ITCH to think about it.

Lauren Conrad for Kohl's.

When Lauren Conrad isn't busy writing for Forbes, dip-dying her hair, or launching beauty websites, she designs clothes! A whole heap of them. Not only is LC working on her personal Paper Crown line, but the ex-Hillsie also releases her seasonal LC Lauren Conrad collection for Kohl's! Just this week, we got our hands on the FULL summer 2011 lookbook (even though it's sort of late in the season), and we were reminded of how much we've been LOVING her breezy floral tops, comfy maxi dresses, and flirty skirts—which are by now mostly on sale (YUSS!). And also, that teal color? So gorgeous, especially with Lauren's new technicolor look.

The Row handbags

Not content with mere domination of the fashion world, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are setting out to claim it all as their own, one wardrobe drawer at a time. They have an iron-clad lock on the whole luxe separates game with The Row, and their latest (and much applauded) foray into affordable fashion with the t-shirts at StyleMint has been delightfully received! The only logical next step from here is to dive head-first into accessories with a line of bags for The Row which will be available at Barney's starting this week. After all, an "It" brand certainly needs an "It" bag.

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen for StyleMint.
All Photos Courtesy of StyleMint

Full disclosure: I am deeply suspicious of T-shirt "lines" as a whole and was preemptively annoyed at the prospect of the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's continued domination of the fashion world byway of something as predictable as an overrated tee collection for their new site, StyleMint. That their hair looks SO particularly shiny and pretty in the campaign photos was also found to be quite irksome.

Turns out, I am a presumptuous hater of clownish proportions.

Kelly Osbourne and Lourdes Leon for the fall 2011 'Material Girl' campaign.
Photo: Courtesy of Material Girl's Facebook

We're just smitten with the fact that Kelly Osbourne is KILLING IT as the face of Macy's Material Girl collection by Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon. Again, shot by superb, New York-based photographer Brooke Nipar, Kelly debuted their spring line frolicking around NYC's East Village bars in high-waisted Daisy Dukes, rompers, and leopard dresses, and the fall 2011 campaign maintains the Manhattan aesthetic.

This time, Kelly takes a tourist's approach to the Big Apple by visiting the "Top of the Rock" at Rockefeller Center, Times Square (HOLLER!), and taking (eerily empty) bus tours. She shows off Material Girl's staples: floral dresses, exposed zipper skirts, and off-the-shoulder graphic tees, which Lourdes styled herself. Can we just say that we love Kelly's "real girl" look that's also SUPER affordable? We can't imagine what this collection would have looked like on the original face of the brand Taylor Momsen, but we'd guess a buttload more leather and eyeliner. Check out the full ads (and a behind-the-scenes pic) after the jump.

Lauren Conrad promoting "Sugar and Spice" & "Lauren Conrad Style Guide" in New York City on Oct. 5, 2010.

No one's doubting that Lauren Conrad is a busy girl. Between a collaboration with Kohl's, her own Paper Crown line, her beauty web community The Beauty Department, and her own LaurenConrad.com, the girl totally has her hands full. Or overflowing. (We envision her daily schedule to be akin to wrangling dozens of unruly wriggling ferrets with ballerina-pink hair bows that just won't stay on no matter how many times you fix their tiny headgear.) On top of ferret, girly, fashion stuff, our girl LC has just taken on another role as the newest columnist for Forbes (P.S. Is being an advice-doling Hillzie becoming a thing?). In LC's introductory column entitled "Meet Lauren Conrad, Inc.", which went live last Thursday, she legitimizes herself for any Forbes regulars raising their eyebrows at a piece written by a girl their teenage daughters watched religiously on The Hills and/or Laguna Beach.

Usher at Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular in Chicago on May 17, 2011, and Pippa Middleton in London on April 30, 2011.

Oh yeah. Rub your eyes. Pinch yourself. Go ahead and double-check your calendar, but this is far from an April Fools' joke. Usher, in this very real life we're all living, wants to launch a brand spankin' (had to) new lingerie line with the bootylicious Miss Pippa Middleton. He was quoted in the Daily Star newspaper as saying, "I don't think there's a more beautiful, more stunning, more talked about woman in the world at the moment...I'm sure everybody is trying to sign her up. She won't be cheap, but she has the looks and the popularity to really establish a new product." Whoa. No playing around with Usher Raymond. The man's all business.

Coco at the launch of her clothing line 'Licious' in May, 2011
Photo: Getty Images

Oh, Coco! Ice-T's wife is QUITE the jack-of-all-trades these days: Just this month she released her clothing line Licious, debuted a reality show with her hubby called Ice Loves Coco, and will release her first-ever single on iTunes called "Shoe Freak." LUCKILY, we got our hands on a sneak peek of her song and, whew. WHEW. This girl isn't kidding—she's a shoe FUUHHH-REAAAK, y'all. She names 16 designers that she "needs" high heels from, which, apparently, is sending her into a "Louis Vuitton frenzy," which plagues us on the regular. Here's a treat for your brain stems: Let us break down the one solid minute of lyrics that we got our grubby little hands on.

Snooki in Italy and NYC.
Photo: Getty Images

Juuuust when we were getting cozy in Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi's extensive slipper collection, the Jersey Shore star decided to expand her footwear line—actually labeled the apt and hilarious "Snooki Enterprises"—to include (gasp!) flip-flops and wedges. This is no surprise considering the Snooks is CONSTANTLY spotted on the beach working on the "T" in her "GTL." Her footwear line, which includes green pickles plastered across bright pink sequined flip-flops (with Snooki’s heart signature, of course) and ruched leopard print thongs, will retail between $15 and $50. Check out the pink pickle slip-ons below!

Jessica Simpson at the 'Us Weekly' Hot Hollywood Party in Hollywood, California, on April 26, 2011.

Jessica Simpson is one of those rare breeds of celeb designers whose collection actually fares well. And for J. Simp, her line has had more than just a little success, the Jessica Simpson Collection has taken off in a BIG way despite past backlash for allegedly wearing "mom jeans" (Suck it, naysayers! Also, high-waisteds have become totally IN, so who's laughing now?!). No joke, her sales are projected to push past the BILLION dollar mark, which is just such a crazy amount of money, it makes our eyes spin around revealing their B-side of little sparkly dollar signs. Given her ultra-fash-mogul status, it's no surprise that for its newest fash-reality competition show, Fashion Star, NBC elected Jess as the mentor for the show's aspiring designer contestants.
