Regardless of whether or not you scored a nomination, the Golden Globes after-parties have long-provided the perfect excuse for stars to dust off that designer gown they've been meaning to wear since, like, FOREVER. (Forever meaning since it hit the Spring 2014 runways, of course.) The step-and-repeats at parties thrown by InStyle/Warner Bros. and Netflix/The Weinstein Company brought some stellar wardrobe changes from the show's attendees and a whole new set of stars who gave us plenty to swoon over. We picked out a few of our faves, which included Nina Dobrev, Taylor Swift, and two very dapper Jonas Brothers.

Now that the Golden Globes are over, if you need me, I'll be down by the beach sipping on a piña colada. JK. I'll be in my robe, on my couch, binge-watching something on Netflix, probably. A girl can't help but dream about bikinis and sunshine, though, especially after seeing all the bold, sunny colors that some stars showed up in for the InStyle/Warner Bros. after-party. Nikki Reed channeled the Caribbean Sea in an aqua-colored gown by Monique Lhuillier, which had a train that resembled gentle waves. (I'm not still dreaming, I swear.) Hunger Games alum, Isabelle Fuhrman, chose a canary-yellow drop-waist dress by Paper London. I can almost feel my first sunburn, can't you? Finally, former Revenge star Ashley Madekwe looked like a (super-elegant) fruity, frozen concoction in a tri-color gown by Roksanda Ilincic. Wake me up when summer comes back, kthx.

Taylor Swift, Amy Adams

Listen, I've lived in several neighborhoods over the course of my five-plus year tenure in New York—but after the 2014 Golden Globes, I'm 99.9% sure that the only block I want to live on from now until forever is the COLOR BLOCK. *ba dum TSH, swings microphone around on cord, points and winks at crowd* Seriously, though. We saw a lot of trends at the second major awards show of the season: braids, brights, and most surprising, man-buns. But none made their mark quite like the color-blocked gown.

Taylor Swift, nominated for Best Original Song for "Sweeter Than Fiction" from One Chance, chose a sweetheart-cut, pre-Fall 2014 gown by Carolina Herrera, which featured a black partial bustier and cherry-red body with a gathered train. Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical winner Amy Adams (for American Hustle) wore a Maison Valentino number with an imitable color scheme, but Adams' pick featured a Merlot-tinted top and an *ACHEM* more risqué plunging neckline.

It may only be mid-January, but 2014 is shaping up to be a pretty good year for funny ladies. I mean, hello! EVERY SINGLE televised awards show has been hosted by a hilarious female duo so far. Granted, this is only the second show of the season, but two outta two ain't bad. Earlier this week, Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs took on the People's Choice Awards, and tonight, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will undoubtedly kill it on the Golden Globes stage.

The Golden Globes are great. What's not to love about a laid back, boozy affair, but in fancy clothes? What could be better than that? We've already broken down some of the night's biggest trends, and told you our top looks, but what about the beauty?! The hair and makeup tended toward the natural this year, with a few retro hairdos thrown in the mix. Here are my favorite beauty looks of the night, in no particular order!

Kristen Wiig

I loved this hair color on her, it really makes her eyes stand out. Kristen's smoky eye makeup was a breath of fresh air among all the natural faces.

The Hollywood Foreign Press' Golden Globe Awards is one of our favorite red carpet events of the year. Sure, there's the Oscars, the Grammys, and of course, our own Movie Awards and VMAs, but there's a spirited mix of glamour and richesse when it's not only the hottest names in film but in television as well. Plus, there's the heightened pressure of being the award ceremony RIGHT before the Academy Awards. We're sure that picking the 2012 Golden Globe Winners wasn't an easy task, but cutting down a list of the night's best dressed to our top 10 was a VERY SERIOUS challenge, too. After some HEATED debate and 11 pounds of sugar EACH (thank you, Momofuku cake truffles and Sour Patch children) in the Official MTV Style Situation Room, *wipes beads of sweat from sodden brow* we did it. Here we GO.

Dianna Agron

Dianna Agron in head-to-toe scarlet Giles Deacon may very well be our favorite look of the night. While wearing red on the red carpet is a risky move, this gown is genuinely a work of art and styled so expertly that Dianna more than pulls it off. She keeps her hair in a simple updo with bold red lips and minimizes jewelry to highlight the majestic laser-cut tiers and swans.

Zooey Deschanel Hair Nails Golden Globes

Zooey Deschanel looks glorious. The New Girl stunned at the Golden Globes with a brand new 'do and hyper-cute tuxedo nail art. Zooey's long, layered locks have been replaced with a voluminous bouffant bob, which topped off a custom green and black rhinestone-encrusted Prada gown and matching clutch. The actress looked VERY '60s chic with her high hair, below-the-brow blunt bangs, super thick lashes and heavily lined lids, buuuuuut our favorite part is hard to notice at first.

Zooey sported some completely awards show-appropriate nail art by decorating her tips with 10 teeny tuxedos. This design is easy to re-create—just lay down an opaque white polish for the base coat and then top it off with a black and white reversed French mani to make a curved cummerbund in this formal ensemble. To mimic the other details, use a toothpick for the dotted buttons and flood a simple figure eight with black for the bow tie. See? Thanks to Zooey, looking classy isn't SO hard.

Charlize Theron Michelle Williams Busy Philipps Headbands

After deliberating over all the stunning celebrities in their various Golden Globes red carpet ensembles, our eyes KEPT getting drawn to something sparkly peeking out from their hair—fancy headbands! Busy Philipps, Michelle Williams, and Charlize Theron all dressed up their immaculate flaxen 'dos with some serious sparklers to take their outfits to glamorous new heights.

Busy Philipps went with a double-stranded silver headband to add a touch of edginess to her tousled beehive. She paired it with minimal makeup (just some luscious lashes and a glossy lip), GIGANTOR drop diamond earrings, and a one-shoulder white fringe gown for a '20s flapper meets '60s hippie vibe. Michelle's strawberry-blonde, gamine pixie looked darling paired with a thick, black, vintage Fred Leighton satin headband decorated with a geometric diamond buckle and tiny diamond flowers. She matched black diamond studs with her band and sported a floor-length, royal purple, crushed-velvet-and-lace Jason Wu gown for a cute and cohesive ensemble. Plus, how awesome is it that these besties wore matching headgear? Awwww.

Talk about Golden GLOBES, y'all. *Violates EVERYONE'S personal space with aggressive elbow nudging and winking* We don't think we're alone in saying that tonight's red carpet showing could kiiind of be described as a "Night of the Living BOOBZ." Meaning that a grip of stunning starlets aired out their cleavage in a big way for the special event. From the plunging navel-grazing necklines of Rooney Mara and Evan Rachel Wood to the high-drama décolletage of Madonna and Reese Witherspoon, having your lady lumps in plain view was a definite sartorial theme for the night.

Low-sloping necklines ruled the red carpet tonight. From Rooney Mara's edgy latticed Nina Ricci to Charlize Theron's WIDE open ballerina pink Christian Dior, from the sequined, sheer overlay décolletage of Lea Michele's Marchesa gown *deeeeeeeeeeeep breath* to the Gucci-draped glandulars of Evan Rachel Wood, sternums were a big star on this year's Golden Globes red carpet. Check out these lovely lady clavicles, too. Extra points abound for looks being left unfettered by any superfluous necklaces. Pro status.
