Topshop NEWGEN T-shirts by Jonathan Saunders, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, and Mary Katrantzou

We're about to dive headfirst into New York Fashion Week, which means that London Fashion Week is just around the corner. Our fashion compatriots across the pond continue to put on quite the runway spectacle due to the fact that they're all about supporting young designers. As you know, mega trend retailer Topshop is U.K.-born, and they have partnered with the British Fashion Council on a program called NEWGEN, which showcases new designers every fashion week (they were responsible for introducing Alexander McQueen to the world, too), and this season they'll be releasing limited edition T-shirts designed by London's latest and greatest fash minds. There are soooo many good ones, but we've picked our faves!

Britons love their millinery like they love eating canned legumes swimming in phlegmy tomato sauce on toast. And while we do maintain that Philip Treacy is a genius (despite the giggle-fracas stirred by Princess Beatrice's hat at the Royal Wedding), we gotta say, some of the headgear from London Fashion Week (which ended yesterday) is beyond HILARZ. Let's take a gander at some of our favorites.

ANGRY BIRDS AT GILES

At Giles (sidenote: I LOVE Giles Deacon and consider him to be a STAR, and I loved his work at JCDC), we saw a parade of feathers and some truly exceptional, dramatic silhouettes and interesting layering techniques. But this? This writhing, blood-red swan atop some poor model's dome after all that avian imagery we've had for the last YEAR from Black Swan? It feels a little done. Totally makes me wish it were a puffin.

Kanye West and Sienna Miller sit front row at the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2012 London Fashion Week show.

Just when you thought Kanye West's absence at New York Fashion Week would have him sitting out all the international fashion weeks altogether, he makes several appearances at yesterday's London Fashion Week shows. Flitting from Christopher Kane to the much-anticipated Burberry Prorsum show, Kanye sat front row (obvi, doyyyyy), wedged between Ellie Goulding and Sienna Miller, the actress/model/fashion designer who, by the looks of the giggle fit captured by the front row photogs, may have just become Ye's new best friend.

Tina Knowles and Beyoncé at the London Fashion Week launch of House Of Dereon on Sept. 17.

This Saturday, Beyoncé launched the newest House of Dereon collection alongside mom and business partner, Tina Knowles, at Selfridges as part of London Fashion Week. The mind-bending speed with which she eased from attending New York Fashion Week shows to strutting down a catwalk across the Atlantic for her own line in a sparkly black suit cut to there (all while PREGNANT like it's NBD) is totally baffling and evocative of many wild fist-shakes and utterances of "HOW does she DO it?!!" Though admittedly, we're not the authority on maternity wear by any stretch of the imagination, we're not convinced that anyone could rock a full-body sequins situation whilst gestating another human being quite like Miss Bey, and for that, we light another candle and add it to the shrine (you know you have one, too).

Kristen Stewart at London Fashion Week.

Many thoughts came to mind when we spotted photos of Kristen Stewart at the Mulberry show during London Fashion Week, the foremost being, "So this is what we need to look like in order to be Robert Pattinson's girlfriend." Those deliciously smoky eyes! That floaty dress paired with the badass ankle boots (you know, the perfect combo of tough/pretty that we all can only hope to achieve so effortlessly). But what killed us MOST of all was Kristen's brand-new 'do: a gush of flowing, long, dark hair spilling over her shoulder like a waterfall of inky black gorgeousness. Kristen's rocking this look for her role in Snow White and the Huntsman (she plays Snow White, duh), and we've gotta say, this hairstyle totally tramples all over the mullet she previously sported to play Joan Jett. And get this: Kristen not only sat front row at Mulberry, but right next to Kate Moss. One can only imagine how that convo went ("Our names both start with a K? Let's be friends!").
