Even if you haven't read or seen The Fault In Our Stars (yet!), you’ve undoubtedly heard the overwhelming consensus that it’s impossible to get through it without many, many tissues. But you know what's sure to cheer you up when you're sobbing your eyes out over the saddest teen love story of all time when it hits theaters tomorrow (other than Ansel Elgort's grin/personality/entire being)? Very, very rad nail art inspired by the story.
The Fault in Our Stars and nail art are both all over Tumblr and Instagram, so it only makes sense that the two have begun to overlap a bit. Two of the best things on the internet, together? Sign us up.
Without giving away any spoilers, because you're obviously going to see the movie this weekend, the word "okay" is sort of Hazel and Augustus's way of saying a love you. Some people have a song? They have a word. Just go with it. This girl incorporates that and actual text from the book, resulting in a truly bonkers mani.
Seeing a theme here? This one has more "okay"s, but with the addition of some hearts (because it's a love story), flowers (because Gus bought some for Hazel that one time), and stars (because duh).
Yes please to Beyonce nail art.

Three things we're very into around these parts are nail art, Beyonce, and MTV Other, which is our main source for short shows that we share with all our friends so they think we're cool and funny (I guess it helps that we're naturally both those things *hair flip*). The trailer for the second season of Fast Food Heights just dropped, and we are so excited. Fueling our excitement? BEYONCE NAIL ART.
If you have two hands and a smartphone, chances are you've shown off your nail art on Instagram at LEAST once in your life. It's pretty much a given. But what if you could show off your Instagram pictures ON your nail art? Photos of your half-eaten cheeseburger or your #tbt baby pic plastered on your fingers for the whole world to see IRL. Well, thanks to NailSnaps and their genius Kickstarter campaign, that dream could very well become a possibility. The company promises to turn your smartphone pics into custom-made nail stickers—provided they earn enough money, of course. Quick, someone send them $40,000 RIGHT NOW.
If NailSnaps is able to change the face of nail art forever, there are a few celeb Instagram accounts we may have to borrow from. As much as my cat's face deserves to be a semi-permanent fixture on my manicure, the snapshots of the rich and famous are just a liiitle bit more interesting. Since we're VERY IMPATIENT, we already Photoshopped a few (OK, 12) of the famous pics we'd steal for ourselves. Just to, y'know, see how it'd look.

Much to the dismay of naysayers/trend forecasters everywhere, nail art ain't goin' nowhere, y'all. In fact, I'm happy to report that it's alive and well and majorly #THRIVING on the Fall 2014 runways at New York Fashion Week. Nail artists pulled out all the stops this season with a brand new class of innovative designs, patterns, textures, and shapes. If you're still struggling to paint both hands without going through an entire bag of cotton balls and polish remover (no shade), you might want to take some notes. Unless you're into the finger-dipped trend, in which case, carry on. Check out our picks for the most creative nail art designs from New York Fashion Week after the jump!

Here we have a small sampling of the nail art The Blonds sent down the runway for their Fall 2014 show. Welp, that'll do it, ladies and gentlemen. I think we can all go home now. They won nails. Congrats, CND. I don't even know how to describe half of these, because they are SO insanely detailed. Also because there are SO many. Like, there's at least fifteen in plain view. And that's not even counting those pink pointy suckers (which would no doubt get flagged as weapons by the T.S.A.). Just when we thought it couldn't get more diverse than last season's show, The Blonds went and outdid themselves. Literally.
Nail art at Cushnie Et Ochs.

Cushnie et Ochs called in their BFF manicurist, Pattie Yankee, for this stiletto-tipped, iridescent, oil-slick paint job that created a holographic illusion in certain kinds of light. HOLOGRAPHS, people. On fingernails. What's next? A life-size projection of a shirtless 2Pac performing the show's soundtrack? (Hey, it could happen.)
