Excuse us while we channel our inner-Chandler Bing, but could Emma Watson BE any cuter? We don't think so. What other girl could move to seamlessly from one year at the MTV Movie Awards wearing the hyper-feminine/opulent designs of Marchesa to pulling a complete 180 in a surf-inspired mini-dress courtesy of emerging NYC designer Brood. You may remember Emma teasing earlier this week, tweeting that she would be wearing a "new designer" to this year's MMAs. Welp, here it is! The Perks of Being a Wallflower leading lady fully embraced the sporty trend with this unexpected number, and we could not be more in love.

The Best Dressed Of The 2012 MTV Movie Awards

You followed diligently along with us as we live blogged the 2012 MTV Movie Awards red carpet. You watched with us as Special Style Correspondent Kat Graham chatted up the young Hollywood hotties. You gasped with us as Teen Wolf's Holland Roden took our breath away on the step-and-repeat. You even let out a hefty "AWW!" with us as Kristen Stewart switched out of her Loubous and into a trusty pair of Converse kicks. Now comes the hour of the night when we sort through the red carpet finery via a flurry of Post-It notes and Sour Patch Kids, and siphon them into our official Best Dressed list. Heeeeere we go!

After that tear-jerking Trailblazer Award acceptance speech, how could you NOT love Emma Stone? On top of being a classy lady and amazing human specimen, The Amazing Spider-Man starlette also has GUH-REAT style to boot! She squeaked by in the last seconds of the red carpet, just in time for us to gaze at this gorgeous Martin Grant cocktail frock. The dress featured a structured black peplum bodice which sat crisply on top of a voluminous putty-hued balloon skirt and matching pumps with itsy bitsy ankle straps. Emma finished off her look with an effortless updo, minimal eye makeup and a punchy hot pink lip.

We don't wanna be all, "We called the metallic trend!" but we totally called the metallic trend. Nikki Reed, Kristen Stewart, Crystal Reed, and Christina Ricci shined on the MTV Movie Awards red carpet in summery AND shimmery ensembles. Nikki Reed looked like a golden goddess in her beaded Randi Rahm shift dress. She paired her short-sleeved stunner with a leopard print clutch and gold peep-toe heels, while keeping her makeup soft and sultry. K Stew KILLED it in a bold yellow, metallic gray and purple Guishem frock, pointy black Christian Louboutin pumps, and a Repossi triple band cage ring. She let her chestnut waves run wild (YUS) and finished her look with a seriously smokey eye and nude lips.

Who Will Shine On The MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet This Year?

OMG, guys! It's almost here! The 2012 MTV Movie Awards are THIS SUNDAY, and we couldn't be more excited. Over the course of the past week, we've taken you through some of the biggest fashion trends to flock to the golden popcorn, from mini-dresses to prints and patterns. Our absolute favorite red carpet fad of recent years, though, has to be sparkles, sequins, and shards - the glitzy, embellished frocks that caught, reflected, and refracted light down the step-and-repeat. Still a relatively new trend (our first example is Sarah Jessica Parker's glittery black mini from 2008!), we've seen it explode over the past year with a whopping nine starlettes showing up to the 2011 Movie Awards in shimmery shifts.

There are plenty of stylish starlettes we're anxiously awaiting glimpses of at this year's MTV Movie Awards. From trailblazer Emma Stone to Special Style Correspondent Kat Graham, there's sure to be plenty of sartorial eye candy traipsing down Sunday's red carpet. One little lady we're particularly psyched to see is Miss Emma Watson, who is confirmed to present at the show alongside her The Perks of Being a Wallflower co-stars Ezra Miller and Logan Lerman. This week, Emma tweeted her excitement for the impending award show, revealing that not only has she already found her dress but that it's by a "new designer"! *strokes long, thinking whiskers*

Along with hilarious hijinks, blockbuster parodies, and the congregation of Hollywood's hottest stars, it also means a veritable PARADE of exemplary summer style will soon hit the MTV red carpet. Our freshly announced Special Style Correspondent Kat Graham will be on-hand to cover the breaking fashion news of who is wearing what as it unfolds, but judging from the trends of Movie Awards past, it can't hurt for us to do a bit of pre-carpet predicting!

Guys, isn't it summertime? *finds nearest window* Yep, it's totally shorts and tank top weather, but despite the rising temperatures, Lea Michele, Jessie J, and Lily Collins kept their looks dark and demure at last night's Glamour Women of the Year Awards. Lea Michele opted for a winter chic off-the-shoulder shimmery midnight blue Zac Posen mermaid-shaped gown with giant Lorraine Schwartz dangling jewels. The Glee star pulled her hair back into a simple ponytail and added tons of drama around her eyes. She swept some bronzer on the apples of her cheeks and chose a nude lip for a clean, slightly-sun-kissed-in-the-dead-of-winter look. Jessie J also went the dark route in a shredded black Julien Macdonald frock with killer gold and black peep-toe booties. She sported kohl-rimmed eyes with a glossy lip and angular brows. She slicked her deep-parted raven locks back into a low side bun and sported no-nonsense nude stiletto nails for a seriously grown-up look.

Kat Graham Named Special Style Correspondent For MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show

We admit: we're notoriously bad at keeping secrets, so, needless to say the last few weeks have been REALLY hard. We knew it would be worth the wait, though. Ahem. Drumroll, please... Kat Graham will be reporting as Special Style Correspondent on the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show AND the MTV Style Red Carpet Report this weekend! Amazing, right?! As Special Style Correspondent of the pre-show, which you can catch this Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/PT on MTV, she'll be joining Josh Horowitz, Jim Cantiello and Sway Calloway from MTV News and talk to everyone from Chloe Moretz to Leighton Meester to Andy Samberg (yep, really!) on the red carpet. She told us, “I'm looking forward to being a part of bringing the show to the fun level it always arrives at. We're going to be bringing fashion/fierce/pop to a show honoring amazing talent, and showing how we do it the MTV way!" And, yes, there will be even MORE Kat Graham/fashion amazingness right here on MTV Style, so be sure check back in for the full red carpet report.

We all know and love the Swiss-born American actress from her breakout role as Bonnie Bennett in The CW's The Vampire Diaries, but acting is only the tip of the talent iceberg for this impressive multi-tasker. At only 22 she's already reached triple threat status, with a successful music career (including the highly addictive track "Put Your Graffiti On Me") and dance background...not to mention a killer fashion sense. After all, how many girls do you know who can pull off the sleek hi-rise ponytail and minidress as well as Miss Graham? That's a big fat zero, if you ask us. And now she's ready to put her personal style to good use this Sunday.

Will Mini Dresses Dominate The MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet Once Again?

DUDES. The MTV Movie Awards are almost here, and you know what that means—tons of red carpet ensembles for us to fuh-reak out over! We can only imagine what our fashion-y faves will wear on the big day (June 3!), but thanks to trends that have shown up on the Movie Awards red carpet time and time again, we have some serious sartorial guesses to make before Sunday rolls around. Why? Because 1.) It's fun and 2.) We will find any excuse to be right about something. JK! (Sorta.) First off, we need to talk about those forever-on-trend mini dresses. It seems like celebs want to start off their summer wardrobe with a bang, and lots of ladies opt for a shorter-than-short frock paired with sky-high heels and effortless hair. And when we say lots of ladies, we mean lots of ladies. From Kristen Stewart's safety pin Balmain dress last year to Victoria Beckham's zebra body-con frock (and hot pink bra) in 2007, there certainly hasn't been a shortage (heh) of super short mini dresses. In fact, we have 40+ examples (!!!) of these cropped frocks all bundled up in a little nice package for y'all. (Psst, you're welcome.)
