Sneakerheads are already buzzing about the yet-to-be-released second coming of Kanye West's Nike Air Yeezy kicks, and these latest snaps of 'Ye in between stops on his Watch the Throne tour with Jay-Z only fan the flames higher. Kanye was photographed leaving the Mercer Hotel in NYC wearing a pair of sneakers that can only be deduced as part of the upcoming collection, dubbed Nike Air Yeezy 2.

These super cute, embroidered velvet Charlotte Olympia Kitty flats are everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean in editorials or in street style photos atop the tootsies of many a fashionable CELEB. Even though these shoes look like they want to rub against ALL of our sweet lady feet, they're pretty much relegated to the elongated legs of the elite. Why? Because they're £485, dahhhhhling, and that's about $775 in current dollar conversion. I KNOW. Alexa Chung wears these gold-heeled kittens like a champ, and everyone else from Katy Perry to Sarah Jessica Parker has been swanning around the swankier urban streets looking all manner of PURRfect in them. Whatever can we do?

Celebrated shoe designer Christian Louboutin hosted a cocktail party at Barney's New York that attracted all manner of well-heeled ladies (and gents in ladies' heels, but we'll get to that in a sec) ready to show off their finest footsies. Along with the perennially black-clad dynamic duo that is Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Blake Lively blasted the black carpet with her brand of insouciant sunshine, and The Blonds jazzed it out in tuxedo revelry. They were all rocking Loubs, too—some even of the animal-themed variety, specifically LION PAWS.

Our West Coast ladies may not totally be able to feel us on this, but remember a few days ago when it was baaaarely Halloween and a badass Nor'easter came rolling through, dropping flash blizzards everywhere it touched? I'll preach here week after week about trying out new shoe silhouettes, heel heights and widths, etc., but the jarring truth, faithful readers, is that once sandal season hits, I cling to it for dear life, riding the wave for as long as possible without risking irreparable frostbite-induced nerve and tissue damage. Needless to say, my footwear decision-making process was thoroughly rocked come this weekend's snowfall, and the brute force with which Mother Nature took to making me pull on a pair of flat, knee-high boots was nothing short of unexpected; also, maddening. In retaliation, I made it my mission to wear nothing but toe-bearing shoes with unreasonable heels all week long. And judging from the peep-toe styles they've been sporting, perhaps Nikki Reed, Nicole Scherzinger, and Snooki feel the same way about staving off the podiatric shrouding that comes hand-in-hand with winter's chill.

With snow already in the forecast up north, we think it's time to find the perfect pair of winter boots before it's too late and our humble landscape has been transformed into a freakish arctic tundra. (This seems to happen every year and we're NEVER prepared.) We've done the whole black rain boot thing and have had more than a number of normal boots destroyed by the elements, so we've hunted high and low all over the vast expanse of the interwebs to find you the cutest boots suitable for the coolest temps and most inhospitable of weather-challenged days. We're talking pretty pairs that you'll want to wear on sunny days too.

As temperatures drop, slowly but surely, we’re stowing away our strappy sandals in favor of other closed-toe footwear. With a chill in the air, it's only responsible to shield your tootsies from the mounting cold. That, of course, just means covering them up to keep frostbite at bay, but it appears this week Kelly Osbourne, Hailee Steinfeld, and Camilla Belle have taken the whole "shield" thing literally, arming their feet (HA!) with metallic cap-toes.

It's perfectly OK to walk the red carpet in the nude. Well, in nude SHOES that is. A longtime stylist secret, neutral-shaded shoes are the go-to when you're wearing a dress in a CRAY color that is difficult to pair with complementary pumps (hi, acid orange), or when you're wearing something equally neutral like white. Not only do they keep the eye focused upward on the amazing outfit you're wearing, they elongate the leg in the most beautiful way. Ciara, Amber Heard, and Kristin Cavallari all wore nude shoes in varying shades and heights to illustrate this trend on the red carpet; in fact, SHOE NUDITY was everywhere in Tinseltown this week. We think this trend might have, ahem, legs.

Every gal needs a good pair of black heels. That's a fashion fact. While we're currently in a somewhat transitional season (not quite boots time, a little late for sandals), accessorizing your early fall wares is all about going for a black heel—and a STRAPPY black one at that. Selena Gomez, Kat Deluna, and Lauren Conrad all recently wore different variations (from thick straps, to multiple straps, to almost nonexistent ones) of what we think is the PERFECT early fall shoe. Flirty, feminine, and easily paired with just about any dress, they'll get good mileage next spring, too.

If there's one thing we have in common with The Buried Life cast, it's the desire to design a shoe before we die (it's a stylish bucket list, mmkay?). To bring to life their vision of sneakers that light up, the guys joined forces with Creative Recreation, whose contemporary kicks are favored by hot boys everywhere (e.g., Zac Efron, Taylor Lautner, and yeah, you get the idea). True, our dream shoe design would have featured a 4-inch heel, as well as the ability to repel rain and allow us to gracefully traverse New York City's pothole-ridden streets, but we gotta admit that these aptly titled "Buried Lights" sneaks are pretty snazzy. The shoes hone in on LED technology, using colorful glowing panels cushioned in black leather for the kind of shoe that sneaker aficionados dream about.

Honestly, who isn't amazed by the bananas encrusted, glittering, MAJESTIC quality inherent to every pair of Gasoline Glamour heels? Surely you have eyes, so you can see why the impressive no-inch-left-uncovered attitude toward embellishment exhibited by this footwear designer is so moving. I mean, just LOOK at these things, shimmering and refracting SO many beams of light, and try not to be totally rocked by their ability to be simultaneously mind-boggling and awe-inspiring! I bet you can't do it. So it's no wonder Snooki couldn't help but snap and post a few photos of her wearing the shoes for a photo shoot last night.
