Whitney Eve, Nasty Gal

It should go without saying that Teen Vogue intern-turned-reality TV star-turned designer Whitney Port knows a thing or two about dressing for summer. In addition to her fashion background, this girl grew up in sunshine-y California, home to 100-degree weather and a little music festival called Coachella (you might've heard of it...). So it's a total no-brainer that the 27-year-old has just rolled out a pair of tops that will fit right into pretty much any summer concert you've got on the radar. Available exclusively at Nasty Gal, the Pony Tee and Roller Girl tank from the Whitney Eve label are stamped with bright Aztec-inspired prints, a fun homage to all those loud patterns that stomped down the Spring runways at Burberry, Alberta Ferretti, and Mulberry .

Jeffrey Campbell's "Upend" and "Float" style shoes.
Photo: Courtesy of SoleStruck

Okay, maybe that headline is just the teensiest bit misleading, BUT what else would you call these latest Jeffrey Campbell offerings?? Those top ones, the "Upend," appear to be some kind of cousin to the oxford, and the bottom shoe, JC's "Float," appears, at first glance, to be a perspex sandal. They both have lucite heels, but by no means would I consider these "lucite heels." These shoes (one thing we know they are!!) inhabit in a strange classification limbo, caught in an unchartered middle ground between flats and heels/wedges, and we're not quite sure how we feel about it.

Park day, anyone?.
Photo: Courtesy of Keds

Fresh white Keds will always remind us of our elementary school recess days, but the all-American sneaker company has grown up and officially gone high fashion. In addition to its signature kicks, this season the label has teamed up with NYC and LA retailer Opening Ceremony on a brand-new capsule collection. Stocked with breezy separates like cropped trousers, collared blouses, and enough printed dresses to fill your pattern quota all summer long, the adorable offshoot takes cues from the different variations of the classic Keds Champion style (Madewell, J.Crew, and Alice & Olivia all have their own version of the sneak). Cementing the cute factor is the collection's lookbook, shot by famed photographer Cass Bird.

Urbanears denim headphones.
Photo:Courtesy of Urbanears

Considering people have been doing the denim-on-denim thing for a few seasons now, isn't it about time someone took this '90s-inspired trend up a notch?! Luckily, Urbanears is here to help...and no, we're not talking about Britney and Justin's matching ensembles circa early 2000s (although you've got to admit-it was a pretty epic fashion statement). The Stockholm-based audio company has just debuted a raw denim edition of its classic Plattan Plus easy listening staple. Just like the original, the new version comes complete with ear cushions, a mini remote control, and collapsible design (which mean it won't take up any room in your purse, score!). Plus, in a stroke of total genius, it's installed with a special "zound" plug on the earcap so you can listen with a friend.

Facebook Like Clothing

Clothing hangers displaying Facebook 'likes.'
Photo: Via C&A's Facebook Page

It's time to get choosy on what you "like" on Facebook! European clothing chain C&A is taking the "likes" from their e-commerce site and actually displaying them on hangers in their Brazilian brick-and-mortar store. This means shoppers can see a live tally displayed on tiny screens embedded into wooden hangers. Whooaaa. Did your mind explode yet? OURS DID. This is HUGE for the fashion industry because it means that the popular opinion could heavily influence the customer's purchases, but we are totally torn between thinking this is the greatest idea ever or the crushing of individualized thinking and personal style. Because, um, wouldn't you feel kinda sadz knowing you bought a tee with only 3 likes instead of the one with more than 1,000? *shrug* We get super giddy when the fash and technology world mix, and we would LOVE to see how this works IRL. But apparently they're still trying to avoid one big problem—people accidentally mixing up the items and their corresponding hangers. Whoops! Check out more info about the project in Mashable's video below.

Carey Mulligan walking the red carpet at the Met Gala.

Looking for a custom-made, one of a kind designer dress for your next event and don't know where to look? EBay, of course! OK, so maybe the online auction mainstay isn't where fabulous ladies go for their couture most of the time, but for the next 10 days you can buy Carey Mulligan's custom Prada dress, you know, the AMAZING one she wore to the Met Gala on Monday, ON EBAY. The auction started at $500 but, duh, is increasing at a steady, but not rapid, pace. Anyone who knows the ins and outs of the online sale knows that the action doesn't really start until the auction is drawing to a close, though. Basically, have your refresh buttons armed and ready on May 19th, whether you've got a bid in for the dress or if you're just watching the show. OH and also, the dress is being sold by totally rad charity Oxfam International, so not only will whoever buys the dress be the bell at whatever ball they've got going on, but they'll also be helping to feel hungry people all over the world! Win-win!

Nicole Richie Macys

Nicole Richie is slowly taking over the fashion industry, y'all! WWD reports that the Fashion Star judge is expanding her already burgeoning style empire (which currently includes her accessories brand House of Harlow 1960 and clothing line Winter Kate) by designing a capsule collection for Macy's. YUS. The line, called Nicole Richie for Impulse, will cater to Millenials (a.k.a. a term mostly Baby Boomers use for anyone between their teens and late '20s) and hit 100 Macy's stores and e-retail starting in mid-September. Nicole is well-known for bohemian chic meets cool '60s mod girl street style, characterized by tons of bold prints and bright jewel tones. The 24-30 piece collection will be heavily influenced by Nicole's personal style, but when it ACTUALLY came down to it, she said her biggest design inspiration was—GASP—music!

Lauren Conrad Kohl's Summer Collection

I know, I know, it seems like we JUST drooled over the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's spring collection, but the busy Hillsie bee already released her summer line as well. Whew, we can barely keep up! We peeped some of the looks and, um, haiiii, we suddenly cannot wait for the 90-degree weather that lies ahead. Lauren Conrad created tons of fun summery pieces, which include everything from 'dorbs pink polka dot pleated dresses to lightweight ombre dip-dyed crochet sweaters to starfish pendant necklaces. In two ensembles from the summer lookbook (above), LC wears a breezy navy and floral chiffon top paired with denim cutoffs and a super cute braided updo. (Teach us your braided headband ways, LC!) In her second outfit, she sports a feminine coral embroidered tank with KILLER floral shorts and a thick gold cuff.

Let's face it. Prom is EXPENSIVE. Between the tickets and the limo and the dinner and the boutonniere, not to mention your outfit, that's a lot of cash to front for one night. We don't know about you guys, but when we were in high school (and walking up-hill both ways in the snow), our saved up United Colors of Benetton sales associate hourly wages would just barely cover those expenses. With that in mind, we've compiled four complete outfits - dress + shoes + bag, the works! - that you can cop for under $100!

A complete prom outfit for under $100.

TOTAL: $79.15

Girly girls need not fret. We're absolutely not suggesting you show up to prom in an all-over jersey dress. You can still look glamorous on a budget in this pink strapless party dress from Nordstrom ($36.90) laden with sequins. Pair it with an equally glittery gold hardcase clutch from Forever 21 ($16.80) and add a romantic touch with these floral peeptoes from ASOS ($25.45).

Rihanna iPhone Case

You could really do some damage with that thing, but that's not what it's for.
Photo: Splash News/Knucklecase

If there was a tough pop star contest, well, it would be really short, because there's no question that Rihanna would win. It's no surprise, therefore, that the singer would find the most hard-as-nails case to protect her iPhone from drops and fumbles and really, really cool. The case, which is made, appropriately, by Knucklecase (and retails for a cool $99) is part fashion accessory, part technical equipment--the design allows someone like Rihanna, who is being assaulted by a barrage of long lenses and flash bulbs all the time, to keep a firm grip on her phone through the scrum, and to focus on either looking fly for the cameras or getting herself the heck outta there.
